Maybe Mavs fans. I wanted the Mavs to win but you’d have the be delusional to make excuses for the Mavs losing. The Celtics were clearly the far better team and have a great chance to win a few more if they can keep this roster together. They deserve all the props
Doris Burk and Mike Breen were HORRIBLE!!! They slobbed on the Mavs all finals!!! I couldn't believe how no matter what the Mavs did.. it wasn't on them.. lol Then they do something so simple and basic and they say its something thats never been done of how nobody in the world can do what Luka did.. LMAO!!!! I COULDN'T BELIEVE WHAT I WAS HEARING!!!
Nick Wrong once again cements his reputation. "Hi guys..my name is Nick Wright but I couldn't be more wrong. I make my living predicting outcomes based upon my supposed knowledge of the game. But I actually don't have any knowledge. I just make wild ass guesses so I am usually wrong, haha."
I hate to disrespect Damian Lillard because he is a good man and hell of a player, but Boston made the right call taking Holliday and passing on Dame. (Milwaukee to the contrary.) It's not all about skills level but chemistry and fit.
@@BourneUnderdogg-ux9mg I seem to recall rumors last fall that Boston was interested in Lillard. Lillard was traded to Portland for Holiday in a huge 3-team swap, and then to Boston for Brogdon and Robert Willimas. How do you figure Boston get lucky?
@@urbangorilla33 Lillard wanted to go to Miami. Boston was interested just like several other teams were. Boston was never in position to pass on Dame because it was never on the table.
Bro even though Houston swept Orlando, that finals was exciting because of Hakeem taking Shaq to school. As an Orlando fan I was just in awe of what Hakeem did to us.
Sweeps are bad. But many of the finals from '99-'19 were also bad. Sweeps, 4-1 series, those Spurs finals when the teams struggled to reach 90; Klay & KD both going out vs. that wonky Toronto team; Lakers vs. 76ers & Nets (yeesh!).
I’m sorry to say this cause I’m a Dallas guy, but it’s the Mavs fault this series sucked. It’s never a bad time when you’re on the winning end, though. I guarantee you Boston fans don’t care and they shouldn’t.
So you think golden state fans didn't care in 2017 and 2018 , when the whole world knew they were gonna win the chip before the season started after they got Kevin Durant ?
Its the media’s fault and recency bias as well. They led people to believe that this was going to be a series. It was never close to start with to be honest. The only way boston was going to lose is if for the nth time they switch off mentally. And they actually did for one game.
Its not even close how can you win with that lineup center that only loves to dunk and wings that loves only a corner 3 and 2 stars that loves to score no defense they are overmatch plain and simple
Celtics' haters thinks its' the worst finals ever. As a Boston Celtics' fan, it's as sweet as any of the 18 championships. Looking forward to next few year as this team is built to compete for next 3-5 years.
They've been hating on the C's period!! Let's go Boston! If they stay together and are healthy I think they could do it next season!!!! This was Our year, time to celebrate #18
The disrespect for Boston is astounding. Dallas was never gonna win the series just because ESPN said so. Up 3-0 and everyone was still hating on Boston? Delusional. Boston is young enough to win it again. Team game. Not one on one.
Every ESPN analyst I heard predicted Boston. Zach Lowe and Tim Bontemps come to mind immediately. The only guy I heard predict Dallas was Legler. Real question is why do you have a persecution complex.
And Legler has had that opinion on Dalles since the trades. Their all biased. At least they arent talking about Bronny gettng drafted. He was the 3rd best guard on USC. Please dont draft him Lakers.....
People complain all the opponents were banged up yet people forget the Celtics were managing all year long and still was 1t by 14 games. And one of their most important players was injured since the 1st series. But ESPN will tell you Dallas was deeper🤣
Congratulations to the Boston Celtics for winning the championship and a special shout out to Milwaukee bucks owners and GMs for giving them jru holiday
Bucks fans were also the ones saying Jrue Holiday would not perform well in the playoffs for the Bucks. Well he sure as hell did for the Celtics minus a few games first round vs heat
That's because on the Mavs you really just have Luka all the time, Kyrie some of the time, and the other guys none of the time in this series. Even when Luka was godlike you might lose, because it's 1-on-5 basketball. But anytime that Luka is not absolutely killing it, you must know right away that it will be a long night.
The only way to make NBA better is keep the Inside the NBA cast together and put it on TNT. I love those guys at halftime such a shame we didn't see them for the finals
We all know what that Game 4 Dallas win was really about lmfao. What happened to Kyrie and Luka being the best scoring duo ever in the NBA 😅? Skip at home throwing fists at the air.
@@RicciRogers-zn9ji Boston wanted to win the title on their home court. Look at how they played the first 3 games. And in game 4 at Dallas they looked like they didn't even know what a basketball was.
if it was the worse finals, then it was the worse playoffs and worst season...the Celtics handled business from day one and did it at a high clip...best record in the regular series and playoffs...all good...we'll see the haters on the duckboats lol
Congratulations Boston Celtics!! I am and have been an LA Lakers fan since 1965-66 and given the past few years this championship was overdue. Actually the Celtics won this year's championship last summer with trades of Holliday and Porzingus. The Celtics dominated throughout the season and deserved this championship. I see several more championships in the next several years for the Celtics.
Gracious of you to congratulate the Celtics. The Celts now have a window of about 3 years in which they should be among the small handful of teams that can win a title. A lot will depend on what Brad Stevens does as some of the pieces need to be reshuffled. Horford probably needs to take a smaller role as he gets another year older, and Holiday may not be this elite in 2-3 years That said, Tatum and Brown are in the exact middle of their prime years, and Derek White is a big time player too. For your Lakers, there is more work to do. LeBron has been superhuman to play as well as he has for his age, but the times when he can just rise up and carry his team are getting more infrequent. A.D. is of course a great player. But you need more than a few buckets from guys like Hachimura to win against the good teams. Well, it's a long offseason. We'll see how the front offices do.
Kobe is smiling down at Tatum giving a nod of approval saying , " one of many rings to come...." Proud teacher tonight & classy response.... CELTICS 18 X CHAMPS Y'ALL 🍻😇🍀💨
Caitlin who? You have no idea what i'm trying to do or what I'm talking about. I'm talking about Larry Bird, Oscar Robertson, Brad Stevens, Gordan Heyward, Mike Conley, Glenn Robinson etc... I don't care about womens sports. I think you're the fanboy since you know who she is.
Kyrie 1-3 in the finals. His only finals win was with Lebron. Luka and Kyrie play a type of game that won't win Finals. They are both too ball-dominant.
Boston is balanced and have great chemistry. Jrue, white and Kristaps boosted their defense. Dallas could never settle in on offense and defense..nothing bad to say..well deserved.
@@valjohnson7112 Lol, he is a mediocre player at the college level at best. Why would the Lakers draft him if they want to win other than a feel good story?
Man the league is in trouble. If people are saying this was the most boring finals, that included 2 players people say are the new face of the league, this is bad
@@Roberto-lg7jxSGA, Anthony Edwards, Luka etc there's a ton of young players in the west. It was the vets KP and Jrue that led the way to Boston winning.
That was a horrible final.. Almost a whole quarter both teams couldn't score . Blah...I don't want to hear anything about Luka being the best player in the NBA and a front runner for MVP next year👎🏾
When you watch any sports, you want your team to dominate; however, if you're just a fan of the game, you want to see a close game back and forth. This NBA postseason was not like that, particularly on the West Coast and with the NBA finals. Not as exciting for a fan
As a Lakers fan, BOS did their thing and beat their opponents. They didn’t choose who to play. Haters gonna be crying about this like the 2020 championship.
I agree, this was a terrible matchup between these teams. Dallas was a 5 seed and should have been knocked out in the first round realistically. Denver would have given us a much better show but it is what it is. Boston made this look very easy.
Yeah. They got lucky with Denver and Minn, I don't expect Dallas to beat them both again in the playoffs next year. (That's not even adding in others like OKC)
Please stop talking about Luka.... If you play no defense you can only be considered a star at best... Or just a talented player.... Damn Kyrie (Boston) they're better without you🤔
People complained the Cs had the easiest path, well maybe the West should've been better. Mavs were no where near Finals competition yet made it to the Finals.
Maybe next year the West will be able to challenge the Celtics and actually show they want to battle and compete then we will see a more entertaining Finals . Celtics will be team to beat for years to come . GO C’S!!!! 2024 champs
I was there for the '72 Lakers and the 5 Showtime championships in the '80's and must say that the NBA is an embarrassing product since Magic and Bird retired. In the 2nd grade we learned you got 2 steps, otherwise it was traveling. Giving these blokes 5 steps nowadays is like setting up T-ball in MLB. RIP Mr. Clutch.
Man this was absolute domination!! Hey I could not care less if Pritchard or Kornet wins MVP.. they got the job done and that’s the goal.. Banner 18!!!
For a guy who does this for a living, pretty shocking to hear he (Legler) liked the Mavs to win the series. I just follow in passing and with respect to who I would drop some money on in the series, but when I see the Mavs, I basically see 2 players - you can't win with just Luca and Irving!!! Meanwhile, as Legler himself noted about Boston: they have too many good players and will make you pay for mistakes - well, yeah! ... Also, this Boston team could have beaten Golden State in the Finals a couple of years prior, where I had a few dollars on the Warriors in that series and was bailed out by that vintage Steph Curry performance late in game 4, or else the Warriors would have found themselves down 3-1 in the series, with Boston riding all the momentum. And that Warriors team was light years ahead of this Mavs team. As for that "worst NBA Finals ever" headline above, quickly went through the video a few times and did not see where Legler, or anyone else said that. Regardless, obvious rebuttal is there have been bigger lopsided match-ups and subsequent results in the history of the NBA Finals.

Please remove Wardell Stephen Curry II out of Mr. Durant (Kevin) 4th spot on the 30 PTS & 10 AST IN TITLE-CLINCHING WIN.
Boston showed great basketball, and team play. Props from a Mavs fan. I'm happy with my team - 5 months together, no experience, and made it to the finals. Great season. Luka's injuries got him in the end - his legs were shot for a couple of games, now. Most visible with the steep fall off on the outside shots, and airballs. Healthy and better next year - hope we get back! Enjoy it, Celts.
You realize teams physically press up on Luka defensively because he breaks down on purpose? Luka needs to actually work on his body and conditioning or else he will never come close to a Finals ever again. His body will continue to break down unless he takes care of it. Jaylen Brown wore Luka down the entire series.
The reason why Dallas sucks, it's because of Luka and kyrie they are a true crocodile they want to shoot the ball by themselves, and Luka is like a pig he moves too slow
The biggest difference is that anytime Boston had any lineup out there, you knew they could put up points. Dallas had to start with the right lineup to even have some kind of chance, and when they brought in Hardaway Jr or Kleber, it was like carrying deadweight. Luka did what he could while having a bad knee with medication. Kyrie, needs his woman to give him some on the Celtics court so he can get over his issues. Boston has a great team and the trust is off the charts, Congrats to Boston. Hoping my Mavs come back better next year.
As a Celtics fan, I agree that a C’s Nugs final in all likelihood would be a far more competitive series. That being said, you don’t get to pick who you play, all you can do is try and take care of what’s in front of you
@@tuckerbamberg7647 congratulations for getting over that hump. Hopefully next year will be that matchup. I have talk to a lot of Celtics fans and they all have a greed as well.
@@TheAbbot92 Celtics definitely had a easy path to those finals. Every team the Celtics played the best player was out. and it’s not to blame joker. I’ll blame porter. this year it was Luka versus the Celtics.
@@TheAbbot92 well, if you watched the last series they were in Joker played very good. The finals this year was not hyped up at all. They’re calling this the most boring finals ever.
The worst finals ever was last year where the whole world knew that Denver would beat Miami as an 8 seed in its own conference. This was a good finals but Boston is the most dominant team in the nba so they made it look easy
Celtics are underrated because they are not flashy. Remind me of the Spurs of 10 years ago, who developed a culture within the team and won 5 titles. Jalen brown is underrated. He is stronger and more athletic than given credit. Boston is a machine. Great team ball and defense, coaching. A great player can win a game, but it takes a great TEAM to win a series.
Jalen needs to improve his free throws and he will move to the next level. He’s a liability if he’s put on the line at crunch time when they are needed. He stepped up on everything else the past few years. He can improve the free throws too. He deserved the Finals mvp award.
This team is nothing like those Spurs. This team just shoots a bunch of bullshit threes all game and has no game plan. Spurs used to move the ball around at speeds and precisions nobody on the Celtics can even dream of. Besides Kawhi alone is better than the entire Celtics roster. Ridiculous comparison. Even old Timmy, Tony and Manu were better than anybody on this team. Spurs would beat this Boston team by 30-50 every game. After all they beat LeBron, Wade and Bosh by the widest margin in finals history, and before that they had some games vs KD and Westbrook where they led by 40, so I am not exaggerating at all.
Be a champion in the season when there are so many superstars will never be a bad championship. Celtics was just so good as a team, that they made it look so easy.
Yeah I agree. But those dumb fans thought the Luka and Kyrie would have all these amazing highlights against a Celtics team that isn't battle tested and would lose in 6 games. So the actual Finals didn't reach those expectations.
False. Those finals still were better because LeBron was involved. That alone generates more interest than 25 year old Luka and 2 boring stars in JT & JB
Worst NBA Finals ever? Why Who came up with that title we got the scene one of the best teams in the last 30 years or 25 or so and I'd be the self-term team is underestimated as far as all time great goes they can play with anybody knowing going to slow them down If Dallas is dead which is great couldn't do it Who's going to?
It's not the fault of the winning team if they played better as a team. The losing team should look at it as a motivation for next year. So many dumb NBA analysts can't accept the fact that their many takes were wrong😂😂😂
What a clown comment. Basketball is basketball. Did they play LA fitness players or NBA Professionals? You just another casual that let paid programming think for you.
Nah the worst finals was in 2016 when the league and refs handed Lebron and the Cavs the title that year hope that finals still haunts the league too this day.
@eriklaguira the fact that you said checked the numbers is evidence that you have no clue what the numbers are, or you would have posted them with a comparison to prove what I'm saying isn't true. But like most of you internet GMs. You would rather just make some random comment with nothing to back it up. Hoping to pass it on as an actual fact of evidence. In other words you're the one who's talking 💩
Haters forget that Boston was the #1 offensive team and the #1 defensive team during the season, it just carried over to the playoffs and they maintained the same level of play throughout!
The thing thag makes this boston team so great is the fact that they have role players with a specific rile that they're good at but the stabdard for each player is scoring. They all can score, thats their baseline, and then work up into different roles. That's why defensive players on a given night can be the star by scoring and elite defense. They all can shoot the 3
