As per PMS bazaar aum of first global is 271 crores and aum of marcellus is 9000 crore. So I can truly understand his feelings. One more thing in speciality chemicals will anyone trust Ishan dyes and chemicals more or alkyl amines in longer term. I think everyone knows the answer. BTW Marcellus is invested in Nestle not in HUL.
S Sharma didn't say it is not going to go up. He said it will go up significantly less than small-caps. If you want to know the reason, just check its PE ratio.

Few months ago he was saying avoid smallcaps at all times no liquidity. Now he is beating his drum saying smallcap smallcap. Seems tv channels call him for entertainment not serious advice
He basically stressed on the point that HDFC bank will go up but not as high as the small-caps. The term "expensive" is a bit misleading in his statement, I thought.
