that's so upsetting to hear that pediatricians get paid less than adult doctors like what the heck? they do the exact same job! you could even argue that pediatrics should be paid more because of all the unique challenges that come with younger patients :/

I totally agree! AND healthy kids leads to a population of healthy adults with less medical concerns! I will never understand the logic :-(

When I small, about 5 years old, I think, I had to have a minor surgery. Sometime after getting out of the OR, some adult asked me, _“So where did YOU get operated on?”_ I said, _“In the kitchen.”_ 👩🏻‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🔪🩸👦🏻 🛏️

Hi, I'm thinking of going into pediatrics as well but I was thinking about if I decide to have children in the future. How is the work and family time balance as a pediatrician

I am also a med student and my aim is to become pediatrician. But all the time people say that pediatrician are not payed that much they do not earn good money . You are doing pediatric residency please can u answer my question 🙂

@@Navjotkaur-oh2fg it’s not all about money . In medicine passion and compassion should be above the desire for money. There are many other jobs out there which are better to become rich.

@@Navjotkaur-oh2fg professions are more then just the wage. If you hate what you are doing but make a huge wage it’s not worth it. If you do something you love but still make a good wage it’s a great job.

I want to try pediatrics but I’m really bad at speaking with people and especially having to counsel and comfort parents and families sounds scary 😢 I’m an introvert

It’s definitely something that takes time to perfect! There are lots of different parts of pediatrics some more involved with counseling families and parents than others!
