There’s no way I would want the rim of a clean cup touching my lips after sitting on a tea tray that has probably NEVER been cleaned. Much easier to swill out the cup under hot water in the bathroom when they’ve been upright, than find something to scrub the rim clean.
Stayed here in the 90’s, it was way more grand back then ironically, the pool area was serine and no reception desk in the back in the day, find memories of this place
🤣🤣🤣 you learned me a lesson on the cups we put 6 of that crap milk 🤣🤣 Crickey I’d say old that hair dryer I bet they don’t scratch their own furniture cups right way in new room 🤣 yea much better room defo stay there till the next one 😊
Maybe mr Brittania stopped buying up every hotel in England, and concentrate on getting the places upgraded; last I heard he owns something like 60 odd hotels 😂I think it’s enough
The wife is going to be staying there in June this year she going to at a Conferences so been good you doing this vid got a question my wife doggy on her pins how easy is it to get in pool?
Thanks just subbed and notification enjoyed straightforward great review sink unit looked dated in room 1 as base I use travelodge premier in and going through other chains as much as I can for proce it seems fair enough just pity about damaged furniture not hotels fault still needs replaced thanks enjoyed
Another great review, love the Blackpool ones, helps so much when considering where to stay. What road did you say that factory shop was on (I couldn’t quite catch what you said) and can anyone shop there or is there a membership scheme or anything - a postcode for it would be helpful too, I’d definitely take a look. Thanks 🙏🏼
I have to say I was pleasantly surprised actually, don't know what I was expecting but it so much better than I thought it was going be. Would definitely give it ago.
It is a nice hotel very minor problems with it I think it needs more people running it than the staff that they have got in charge, when I was there is was quite empty not many people using the dining room they changed the self service to table service which took for ages to get something to eat the food on the first two nights was out of this world then after that it was downhill due to change of chef!, I think these hotels need proper a maintenance but it's a Britannia Hotel they are very slow at fixing things but they were very prompt at sending a plumber to fix toilets at this hotel even at the desk when you had a problem with the card to your room. It's a huge hotel I think they struggle with maintenance just not enough staff and care of the customers to suit their needs, it could be simply Blackpools best if they just took care of it.
I feel britannia will "refurbish" these hotels but it's always done on the cheap so it'll never be as good as it once was. As for the food the quality of the offerings in all its hotels has been getting worse recently to the point where I'd prefer just order a takeaway as that's usually better quality. I agree with needing more staff too
We wont venture out at night unless to go to a show...so we like entertainment....hense.....we have tried lots of Hotels on the front but......coming out on top is.....The Hotel Sheraton then the Elgin.....central...i would say Craig y don
That is really good value to be honest. Basic but clean with complimentary tea/coffee and bathroom essentials. Great view and just £2 extra to use the pool, a bargain really. £15 for a 4 course meal, well more than reasonable and entertainment also. Who can complain really. They upgraded yourself with no hassle.
take a look at the Jesmond International Hotel in blackpool its a s..t whole wife stayed there when her brother was in hospital this year. Do a review for your fans and tell them after not to go
I did stay here when it was the Hilton and it was pretty reasonable but food prices where expensive so glad to see it more reasonable now. Both rooms looked decent.
We stayed in this hotel when it was owned by Hilton. Had a few nice holidays here. Such a shame it has been taken over by Britannia. Always enjoyed the evening set menu. Great value.
me and my partner stayed here loads and even got engaged in blackpool last year but we never knew that trick with parking and as such had to pay £7 per day :( thanks for the tip so we can do this next time!
Just be thankful the hotel has not (yet) been taken over and housing migrants in it. It is only a matter of time. Let's see video review on it when migrants are in the hotel. Go to the Metropole Hotel. See how far you get????!!!!
@@wanderingwiganer yes it is but in time there will be no guest houses left such a shame but it does need one hell of a lot of investment and British seaside resorts will continue to decline as they can not compete with Spain and other country's both on cost and weather and the world is now a smaller place with cheap plane travel
