Sorry that happened to you. Where I live VCA took over a AHW office and it was never the same going there but we loved our vet. We convinced her to go Mobile and be an independent vet and we love it. Having 7 Great Danes its very convenient having the vet come to us.

I 100% relate to how you were feeling! I’m a first time dog owner my dog is a rescue and gets really nervous at the vet (like most dogs do!) and she sometimes barks which is not abnormal behavior. I take my dog to a VCA and every time I go in there they are so condescending! They make me feel like a child biss. Any symptoms I describe of my dogs they might as well roll their eyes at me. I love my dog and I want to feel comfortable with the people caring for her not that I’m being looked down upon.

Yo I am FURIOUS at how you were treated. I work in medicine (human medicine, not veterinary medicine, but still), and the way they reacted was so typical of money hungry clinics. But even the worst of them know basic customer service and conflict management. What you described was almost like gaslighting. They treated you like shit and you deserve to feel upset and demeaned and like you deserved better. No amount of patient-related stress warrants that kind of rudeness, especially if they are in the wrong. If they react that way, then that means they (especially the receptionist) can't do their job right. Biss we love you and support you and I'm glad Mango is feeling better

I'm so sorry this happened to you and Mango! This kind of behavior is why I'm super picky about which vet I take my cats to, and why I only take them to cat specific vets now. They seem much more passionate about their work, and since they have their own practice, the customer service is great.

I work at a vet clinic and believe me when I say that you should say something about it. They were disrespectful and unprofessional. No clinic has a system that automatically charges at a certain time. It's all manually input. They refused to accept that you arrived on time and it seems that there was a lot of miscommunication between the staff. THIS IS WHY WE WRITE NOTES ON A CLIENT'S FILE AS SOON AS IT HAPPENS. It doesn't matter if it's an emergency hospital or not. I'm glad they voided the charges but I couldn't accept the fact that "they did you a solid." It was a mistake on their part and the staff should have apologized. As for the prescriptions I went livid when they gave you the incorrect dosage and medication. Even I check the prescriptions before giving them out to the client. I'm glad you caught the mistake on time and I hope you don't go back there.
