I live in an asian country, so the punishments are way worst than these. There was one teacher at my old school that if the student were too noisy or didnt do their homework, they would be forced to stand. But tiptoed and with thumbtacks under their heels to prevent them from standing normally. One time a student's legs gave out, and the thumbtack went in to his heel. Needless to say, she got fired once they found out.

My math teacher back in my sophomore year of high school would dump everything out of your backpack on the floor in front of the whole class if she saw that your backpack wasn't organized to her standards.

As an educator myself, I'm horrified by these teachers actions. People like this should never become teachers...they should have their rights to teach stripped away completely; & therefore argo protecting the futures of all students they might come in contact with. To all the students whom,, have suffered from a bad teacher...my sincere apologies. I hope that you're all safe and well.

This happened in the late 1990s, but one of my sister's grade school teachers was fired for the whole 'Santa not real' thing. I found out later from our parents that said teacher was also going through a rough divorce and periodically brought up the issue during class.

This is nothing compared to what my teacher did to me when I was 5, so it pretty much goes like this. When I was in pre-kinder during reading period, I previously had grabed a book and left it on my reading beanbag and went to the restroom, when I came back the book was gone and I found a girl reading it. I put two and two together in my little square shaped brain and figured out she took it so I just walked ou to her and snatched it out of her hand and then she told the teacher, when the teacher came over he made me give it back to her even thou it was my own personal book from home so I did what I would have done now I threw it at her and got her right on the forehead and when I stood up to get a new book my teacher grabbed me by the arms( just so you know he didn’t just hold me by the arms, this man clenched my arm so tightly that when he let go my arms were red) let’s recall he held me by my arms and said loudly to the class “ who wants to hit Hector” and you bet I cried when I got home my mom asked what was wrong and one look at the black eye bags under my eyes(from crying) and she drove to the school going 80 and she wasn’t leaving it now. When we got there she DEMANDED to speak to the teacher and the moment we got to my class she just let out screaming and cursing she went full on ultra instinct mode on him and long story short he got fired but so did the assistant teacher, I thought that was unfair but what could I do

Fourth grade is always a bad year in my school given that one teacher barely teaches you anything and the other one is extremely strict and whenever she says no it sounds incredibly sassy along with her playing favorites and not helping her non-favorites and then the other one is also incredibly strict

I was a special-needs kid, and several teachers thought I was just "acting up" when I had trouble socializing and communicating with them. Instead of working with me, they were quick to yell at me, berate me, and/or punish me for things I genuinely didn't understand.

When I was in primary school, lots of teachers used to tape the student's mouths shut. That was nothing actually...talk about bashing a kid with his notebook, throwing notebooks without homework on you or to the floor, making you sit on the floor or kneel for hours for indiscipline, asking a said student to slap another student as a punishment for talking etc.

I hated my math teacher miss cherneski she hated me for just being autistic. She wasn't just hated by me but by my classmates and all the other teachers who met her especially the principal who had her fired on my graduation. Thankgod I don't have to do it ever again.

Okay so one time, back a few years ago in 3rd grade, we had a sub because my regular teacher was not there. So first the day started normal. Then the sub started yelling at kids since they were not doing what they did. Then she even forced three to stay behind for recess and made them cry. Then I was talking with my friend and she made me sit outside the classroom to do my work. Rude. And then she went around with a sticky note, asking kids their name. And then she comes to me. I tell her my name and she says "I know kids named (NOT REVEALING NAME) who are better than you." She said that to almost everyone in my class. Then the day is almost over and another class comes into the class I am in. One of the kids goes by the teacher's desk and the sub went right to the kid. The kid then tried to go but the sub hit the kid. So then a couple of students said they were going to report her for her actions. And well, because of that, she got banned from ever being a sub in the county and possibly the state. This is a true story.

I would cry if I ever had bad teachers. I kind of had bad teachers from 4th grade to 6th grade, but they weren’t worse like the teachers in the video thankfully. My high school band director is one of the nicest people you would meet. He is the complete opposite from these bad teachers from the video. Everyone and my school loves him.

I once had a teacher that threw pencils at all the students when they didn’t answer correctly. Yeah. She’s dead now. 😐

I despise bad teachers. I dealt with people like them all my life. People like them were one of the reasons why I was afraid to go to school as a kid. And people like them can mean the death of a good school system.

I was in this "time out room" with my male teacher. I threw my shoe at him and he threw it back at me. The shoe hit me, I don't remember where.

We had a teacher in our school who literally punched a student in the back of the head during the morning assembly because he refused to stand straight in the line. The worse part was the child was a hyperactive. Needles to say he was suspended and later resigned.

I had an English teacher who tried to guilt-trip all the non-black/native kids into feeling bad about their race. I went to my mom about my concerns one day after class, and she sat me down and told me I had nothing to feel bad for because I'd done nothing wrong (For ref, I'm mixed; my mom is Asian and my dad is Hispanic), then sent the teacher an email letting him have a piece of her mind. I did what I had to to get a passing grade in that class because my mom would have it no other way, but I never took another word out of that teacher's mouth seriously again.

The worst teacher I have is a housekeeping and technology teacher, he shouts a lot and gives harsh grades. And I personally think Santa is real, but you can believe in what you want.

My teacher was fired because she used whenever we didn't understand anything she would throw scissors and boxes of pins across the room, DIRECTLY at the chikdren. Idk why the school didn't deal with it earlier tho

When I was 12 years old, I felt treated unfair in one occation. The teacher yelled at me, and I started to yell back at her. So we stood there yelling at each other, before I walked out in anger.

In my old school many preschoolers with autism and learning disabilities were locked in seclusion rooms and were not allowed to come outside until the teacher said so. They were also physicaly restrained and had hands and body parts shut in doors. The worst part about this it that the principal was in on it and many of the teachers (my mother was one of them) held open conversations arguing with the school principal and vice principal.

I had a bunch of teachers who punished me or my friends for talking about Star Wars or any other nerdy topic in school. As in if we were at our lockers and were overheard, we would hear it and other students could report us if they overheard us talking about that subject. To this day I still have no idea why. Oh, and it was a public school.

10:15 I remember that my former boss told me (an autistic) a few times to "be normal" (which probably meant to stop being autistic) Oh! And he was literally the only one that criticized me over how slow I was learning. (not even my mom criticize me over that, and I have a terrible relationship with her)

I remember in the 4th grade I had a substitute teacher that put a student from my class in a chokehold. As far as I know that substitute teacher is still teaching. Luckily for the student, I don’t think the hold was very tight.

I remember a science teacher I had in 7th grade. She was a horrible teacher. She would show us the content, but she, almost, never explained any of it. I have autism, and that made it harder for me. We would have a quiz every, single week. That's not enough time to study new material, especially when I had to deal with my history, English, math, and art classes. My grade kept suffering. I was sick of the failures and the constant stress. My parents even wondered if they made a mistake in letting me attend that middle school. They wanted me to go to a charter school because they felt it would be easier for me, but I made the choice in going to the same middle school my brother struggled in as well. I don't remember thinking it wouldn't be so bad, but if I did, I was wrong. One day, I had enough and tried to change my grade on a recent quiz to make my science teacher look bad, but got caught. I had a mental breakdown and had to go to the guidance office. Thankfully, the counsellor was helpful and understanding. Even thinking about it all now pushes me to tears. If she is still there, I don't know how she hasn't been fired yet.

We had a problem with a class, some people spoke up to higher authorities on everyone's behalf which stressed the teacher out as he was blamed. He shouldn't have been as it wasn't his fault, but he took the stress out on us, and blamed us for "complaining". The ones who had spoken up were made to feel unwelcome on top of that. After they left, he told me that he didn't have a problem with me it was just 'some people' and others were told the same thing. Except he had taken it out on all of us and blamed all of us, when no-one had done anything wrong.

I have dyslexia and attention problems (both diagnosed) and before I knew this my teacher said "I'm staring like a idiot" and pulled me out the classroom and said "this is why I have a f's because I act not so bright" . Told my parents & they told the board. They ultimately did nothing. (He ended up cheated on his wife and she came making a huge scene so he ended leaving or something anyway) but during the summer i got evaluated & medicated and 1 month after my 7th grade year started. I got student of the month and straight A's I saw him watching from the back and just smiled widely. So I was so embarrassed at first but that is one reason why since I try and learn something new daily . Sooo pos. And neg. That came from it.

My sister once had a teacher that would not give her the help she needed and my parents confronted him and he just told them to get lost. He also slammed a kid into a locker and watch something not safe for work twice in class. I believe he still works at that school.

While I never had her, a few of my friends had a teacher who everyone loved except for the one day when she came into class drunk. She cussed and screamed at them, and even hit a kid who went to the office to report her. She was fired.

When I was in 2nd grade in the late 90s, I kissed one of my classmates on the cheek during recess because we had a crush on each other. My teacher saw it and gripped my arm really hard, dragged me inside, threw me in a chair and yelled in my face in front of the class for about 5 minutes. I should’ve told my parents, but I was afraid of getting into even more trouble. She also tried to accuse my parents of child abuse because she saw that I had scabs and rashes on my skin. once when i used to be in 1st grade we brought snacks for a party(i went to a private school) to celebrate valentines day. I have a nut allergy, so i couldnt eat the chocolate covered almonds she was handing out, or i would most likely die. Anyways, when she got to my table, i explained to her i couldnt eat them becuz of that. my parents had also explained this to her lietarlly earlier that morning when they dropped me off. She LITERALLY threw like 10 of them on my plate and told me to eat them or she would force me too. My friends, who probably some of the best friends i ever had, one of which im still friends with today, started yelling at her, and they ran with me to the nearby classrooms, and then to the principals office. Long story short, she was fired, my parents pressed chargers, and she was banned for ever working in any sort of educational institute ever again

A teacher in my high school in So California, screamed at students frequently, until one day he had a nervous breakdown, and was jumping around on the desks, not making any sense. The kids escaped from the room, and police went in and captured him and took him to a mental hospital. Hope he got better, but he never came back.

My elementary science teacher is a nurse of our school and he's really creepy..when me and my classmates tummy hurts we went to him to get medicine and I would ask if I can apply it and he would creeply stare at me and say no I can apply it I felt very uncomfortable having a weird guy putting Medicine on my tummy he told us to took our skirt off too so he can Apply the medicine...after that I always have backup medicine..he would also chase us around the school with a syringe filled with water and we all have to hide in the bathroom together just so we won't have to run...

I have HFA, and my previous History teacher knew this, as the school had told him, and every lesson, that I had a question, or that I wasn’t understanding the task right away, he would say “Thick boy strikes again.”. This was last year by the way, not some 2000s teacher. He once said “Thick in mind, thick in skin.”, probably as a reference to my physique. I would just avoid doing anything ever because of him, and now I sub-consciously trust the school less. Every time that I pass him, I can only think of how angry he gets me (which is an understatement to my true thoughts, but I shan’t state those as to avoid breaking community guidelines). No words truly sum it up; you’d have to be a victim to know. I hope someone sees this and gains from it, but this comment will likely go unseen. Oh, well.

This kinda reminds me of my teacher, on the subject of bad teachers. These people are meaner. He says “don’t be afraid to ask questions” and basically tells the whole class when you don’t know something, to make them think ur dumb. And he also get mad at you for simple things like working something he thinks is “weong”

When I was in fifth grade I was really popular and my family was also super successful like my mother was at a really high post. She was a head in a another branch of my huge private school. There was this teacher who always had a problem with me. She would humiliate me in front of other students and would mock me by saying I didn't deserve the easy life I had. When my mother found out she immediately reported that teacher and my friends also reported her. I got a transfer the next year but my friends told me that she was fired. She humiliated me so much that it still makes me feel ashamed when I think about it. She embarrassed me to the point that I cried so much in the my last day at that school and when she saw me crying she said that why I hate kids like you. Then she compared me to a student who had the same level of popularity as me. That boys repute was that he bullied people so much and I once saw him kicking a stray cat.

I had a really abusive kindergarten teacher, she put my desk in a corner in the classroom where I couldn't see anything. I came home crying everyday for getting yelled at when she was the one preventing me from learning, my parents talked to the school and the school district and nothing ever happened to her, as a result for the first couple years of school I was far behind academically. Now much later I am fine but I still remember having nightmares of her every night and waking up crying.

I have a similar story when I was in the 6th grade. So I had a gym teacher who would often scream at us for not doing certain workouts correctly. One day he got so angry that we weren't doing diamond push-ups correctly that he started cursing and eventually a couple students started videoing it. He then snatched the phones from their hands and slammed the phones against the ground. He stormed off and half of our gym class who were watching this went to the principals office and we got the security guard to look at the outdoor cams (because that's where this happened) and he got fired on the spot. We eventually got a new gym teacher

And I thought my biology teacher in my sophomore year of high school was bad! She was there for a semester, but didn’t teach well. Even the smartest classmate I knew disagreed with her. I asked if she could make the text in her presentation slides bigger, but she said that she would need more slides. I should have said, “Is the number of slides more important than the information?”, but I thought of that too late. Knowing her, I would have been written up. I had to get new glasses after that! Even the other teachers didn’t like her. I talked with my freshman English teacher and she told me that she agreed on how bad she was. She was on Facebook and Snapchat during meetings, and I heard that lots of parents complained about her that the school pretty much upright fired her. I loved when there was a substitute teacher during her time and rejoiced when I came back the following semester to find out there was a new teacher. The new teacher was better and was even requested to earn the school belt BY THE STUDENTS! Sadly, she was only there one semester and went off to a different school the next year, but she was awesome.

My worst teacher story: My teacher got fired because when I was about 7-9 years old she hit me with a metal ruler pinch my ear until it bleed and kept pulling on it and dragged me to the door and she forcefully opened the door and hit my foot and my foot was also bleeding and she took me to the principal's office two days later my dad found out that my ears were bleeding and took a picture and show it to administrator and she got fired. Also my other teacher also told me to shut up or she will tape my mouth shut and I still have a lot more story that I can't cover. There's also one teacher that punched me.

*PLEASE READ* here in Malaysia, there incident happened a month ago but it didn’t get too big worldwide so i wish i could share it here to let more people know this :( there’s this one male PE teacher of a middle school told the whole class “there are many laws set up to protect the minors, so if you want to r*pe someone, r*pe girls who are above 18yo”. unfortunately, all the boys in the class laughed and the girls remained silent. but a girl stood up and decided to share it on twitter, it went viral and some suggested her to seek help from school counselor. but the counselor he said “it was just a joke, and i get that girls like you tend to get sensitive about things like this. it’s normal” WHICH IS SOMETHING YOURE NOT SUPPOSED TO ADVICE YOUR STUDENTS. soon later, it got quite big- but the boys in her school started throwing hates on her saying “the real victims don’t even speak abt this, so why bother?” or “lol you girls are just so problematic, i hope you get r*ped then you’ll know how to stay silent next time”. you know what’s worse? even the school principal (who is a female herself), scolded her for being troublesome, called her “child of demon” and expelled her from school for standing up. half of us Malaysians (majorities of Chinese, Indians and female Malays) support her but most male Malays throw hates on her. our government don’t even seem to be bothered about this which is very sad.
