1. The finances (land acquisition loan, construction loan, permanent mortgage) 2. So many decisions to make! (from design to location of house to choosing builder and lender, etc.) 3. Compromises (limitations of budget) 4. The mission to save (can rope you into making poor decisions) 5. Stress and anxiety

Experiencing ALL the things mentioned in this video at the moment. Hoping that once we're in our new home (which was supposed to be last month but haven't even broken ground yet 😥) it will all be worth it. Thanks for the info - it helps knowing that these experiences are the norm when building a custom home.

Completed our house 6 months ago. It was pretty tense at times. Dealing with material cost increases, scheduling challenges and having the builder pass away half-way through the build. Despite all of this, the build was completed only 4 months past the original estimated schedule. We love the house.
