What an amazing experience, Ken, climbing and seeing The Great Wall of China !! Oh gosh, it is always crowded throughout the year. I was there during the end of winter/beginning of spring so views were better and it was super packed. Thank you very much for sharing this cool vlog. Best regards always 🙏

Climbing the Great Wall in such weather is indeed difficult. But the snow-capped city walls and mist-filled valleys have a feeling of ancient soldiers stationed at the Great Wall.

Ahh, I was lucky, I went in Springtime, and a different part of the wall. Still cold AF, but not as crowded... Thoroughly loved my time there.

Chinese people from other provinces like to visit the Great Wall also . Try not to go there during Long Weekends & Public Holidays in case you want to see more detail and avoid the crowd .

Ken, I visited the Great Wall before you were born, and back then there were not many tourists. Our group was the only one there, so we were able to take very nice pictures.

I went at the end of October 2018. It was not crowded at all. I really enjoyed my time on the Great wall, the history and the scenery!❤

it is not so crowded if you go to the section Wutianyu ,however it is too crowded if you go to Badaling section.

You're still lucky, Ken coz sometimes they close it. Went there during the summer, problem is, its too hot to climb too 😊

Ken, That is the more touristic part of the Wall....is that Baidaling? Mutianyu usually has less people.

While there are really old original parts of the Great Wall the section you were walking on has been renovated. They have tried to be as authentic as possible and used materials from the wall or authentic materials from the same quarries. It is magnificent I have been to a few different places on the wall, each location is built with different materials and method.

Gosh! The harsh conditions at the Great Wall of China! It’s just so unimaginable how the people 2,000 years ago, built it with primitive tools and bare hands 😲. They must be incredibly intelligent and skilful. 🫡🫡🫡
