With the shade ghost that they found, I think there is a conflicting codes/orders. A shade is a shy ghost and likes to be alone, but this one that they got likes to be with everybody. So there is something wrong in that regard
In case if any of them see this, the spirit box works by showing nothing detected when there is no ghost, or the ghost does not respond. If It does nothing, that means that it can’t hear you. For Jake it does not work because the game does not hear him. He needs to press the button to make him speak in game. Alex, if you don’t want to hear him in game. Turn his volume off.

A little late on your comment buddy. Tons of updates have happened after this episode. Also Dirty Water only appears if the Ghost fills the sink, you don't have to fill the sink beforehand.
im cringing, you gotta hold the button that makes you speak ingame to speak to the ghost and also you already discoverd the ghost which is ghost writing ghost orb and freezing temperatures meaning it cant speak to you with the spirit box and all the light need to be off
