If I feel the romance itch, I think I will get this from my library. People seem to love this a lot. I haven't tried a lot of explicit romance so far. :D
This sounds so different from Ali Hazelwood's usual work! Granted, I've only read her STEM romances and mostly as a decompression read after something dark and moody. The politics/non-romance parts don't play very big of a role and there isn't much of a need to worldbuild in them (because how much worldbuilding do you really need for a university) -- honestly surprised to hear you liked the world in this one so now I gotta pick up a copy lol
I was pleasantly surprised I liked the world that much. Not that it’s the most detailed Ive ever read, but I was really expecting it to be more surface level
