Dude, I know people tell you this a lot, and for good reason, but the production quality of your videos is amazing. I really don't think people know just how much work goes into filming even the quickest of cuts in your video. Great low light shots, great storyline, great content. You're the man!
I gotta say, comments like this really really help me to keep going...thank you so much, brother!! Low light shots can be tricky and the basement shots took a long time to nail down, so I'm incredibly happy that you noticed haha!
Spenser's trousers based in the UK. They charge £150 for made to measure trousers. You can send them measurements of a favourite pair, or send the pair in and they can copy them. Best value I've found anywhere for proper trousers. Probably the best price to quality ratio out there
Dude what an incredible video. I was stuck to my phone the whole way through and let's be honest, my side of mens lifestyle is different than sartorial. Great job
Don't buy cotton trousers if you're after drape and fall. Cotton is for shirting, not trousers. Wool or wool/cashmere blend. Wrinkle resistant. Best drape ever. Linen is also an excellent alternative, wrinkle prone, but a twill weave, 15oz or above drapes beautifully and will be virtually wrinkle resistant
What a great video!!! You had me engaged the entire 11 min, and it went by fast. Did not look away or began reading the the comments. Can’t wait for the next one!!!
That was useful - I'm not fond of cotton as a trousering material, because it will lose its shape. Trousers made the old-fashioned way, to fit my old-fashioned body, are hard to find unless you're prepared to spend your entire monthly income on one pair - but then: if they'll last me for the rest of my life, it still has to be a bargain. I'll add this company to my list of places to go in my endless search for the perfect trouser.
True words...I would reconsider purchasing this as I briefly covered in my latest video. The buckle came off and the threads and fabric are coming apart at the waistband (at the 7:23 minute mark). It seems like a lot of these even expensive so-called well made trousers are made like junk. We're in the dark ages of menswear to be sure
I am in the process with Collaro to purchase a linen suit, after yours and Benjamin's recommendations. The trial options is an amazing opportunity to better understand my fit. Keep up the great work.
@@SartorialStyles you should look at the tweed they have as a special at the moment. I am going oatmeal linen, I really need to move away from the blue suit.
Definitely worth the wait brother, loved it! I'm still waiting on my pair of ghurkas from craftsman co. So I'll have to save up for a pair of collaro. Trying to support the art of quality fashion and tailoring take money and time in today's age of fast fashion. My wardrobe at this point is so mismatched; it's a journey though
Thank you so much, bro!! I'm so relieved...It absolutely does take a long time, but don't worry, my friend, the journey is worth it and you'll have amazing pieces before you know it! My wardrobe was incredibly mismatched and it still kinda is. Just save up enough for pieces that are versatile that you LOVE to wear and you'll be good!
Late to the party, here, but I can confirm that the wool trousers are well worth the investment- my Standeven single reverse pleated trousers from Collaro drape way better than my cav twill trousers. And the crease is fucking invincible!
Late is better than never haha! I totally believe you, man! I'm convinced of the superiority of wool and it makes so much more sense with their higher price. Well worth it for me honestly. Definitely will be buying more wool!
Love all your videos and your honest reviews on the clothing you've purchased. Trousers are so difficult! I agree with you on maybe it could have been the fabric, but it could also be the style of pant. I am attracted to many styles of trousers but the some, even after tailoring, just doesn't fit my body type. Cotton does stretch when it's worn so I bet that is your culprit. That being said, they do look nice on you regardless of your concerns. Oh, and I'm digging your curly locks, looking sick!!
Thank you so much, brother! I'm honored by everyone of your compliments I definitely think now it's the fabric. I've come to really love wool and will be buying more in the future. Cotton is cheaper in price but you pay for it lol I still love these pants tho and am definitely glad I got them!
Hello Demetrios Levi, I found your channel earlier this week and have had my eyes opened to a whole new world of self-expression. I've gone through a couple different phases of self-expression like watches and interior design. I knew I'd trust your sense and opinions when in a previous video you mentioned you wear the Japanese watch brand "Orient" a brand I'm very familiar with. I lost a ton of weight in the past couple of years and have needed to redo my wardrobe for quite a while now. While the style I come to find may not be as bold as yours I'm thankful for the inspiration and confidence your channel has given me to move out of my comfort zone moving forward. Thank you!
I’ve been totally looking at this company! This helps. I want some Hollywood trousers! And do I even need to compliment the film making? Yes I do, simply fantastic!
I made a decision today to not buy more cotton pants if I don't have to, with me the problem is that the pleats don't last for more than an hour, it might just be the weave but my woollen pants don't have this 🤔
Bravo, Demetrios, bravo! Pants/trousers are the most difficult for me to find a good fit off the rack, I think I have a weird booty/thigh situation going on. Can't wait for ep 2! - Han
Brother, what a film! This was a blessing to watch on OLED, so much black and dark shades, phenomenal work on the colour grading! Concerning Collaro, I agree with your point. For my build they managed to get the fit right quite easily, but that always depends on the customer I guess. They were going up in price lately, I noticed that too and that kinda crushed the great value for the money they had before. I will still order from them again because they know my measurements and I know that they know how to work with them.
Yeah, the prices are a little disappointing but yeah still worth it in the long run! Thank you so much for the compliments brother! I'm glad you can take full advantage of the dynamic range!
What a film (AGAIN). Very nice color on the trousers, too bad the opening at the ankles doesn't fit as it's supposed to. Great fit anyways, i need to think about Collaro as an option or wait for the next episode to see the other choices I've got🙏🏼
I have two pairs of Hollywood trousers from Collaro: one is their deep indigo Japanese denim, and the other is their grey denim. While there isn't any bunching at the knees for the deep indigo, there is for the grey denim. I suspect it's partly because of the starchiness, so to speak, of the fabric, ironically. The deep indigo is very soft and pliable, but it doesn't bunch at the knees unless I stand at an awkward angle. The grey denim, which is considerably more stiff, bunches rather easily. I hope it will soften with dry cleaning. Did you order their "slim" or "classic" fit?
I think you nailed it, brother. The starchiness definitely contributes to less of a drape and I also starch these quite a bit when ironing... I did their completely customized route with measurements so technically didn't order from their slim or classic fit.
Are the trousers lined? I think it could help with the drape and the front will wrinkle little less. However, in my experience, lightweight cotton will always wrinkle a bit.
Thank you my friend!! Glad you enjoyed it! The odd thing is my best fitting trousers that I based these on have a smaller leg opening, just under 7 inches. The trial pants were 7 and they recommend 7.5in for a better drape but still no go. The fact that my best fitting pairs that don't have draping issues are both at 7inches max at the leg opening tells me it has to be something else or that Collaro's pattern itself requires a more wide fit
Hi Demitrios , Out of interest what were the measurements of your final pair? i'm a similar height/build to you and i've had a couple of trousers from Collaro and had issues with the rise being shorter at the front and taper problems including bunching at the Knee ....
It's decent. It's not soft by wool standards by any means but definitely not unwearable. I didn't get them altered but I'll wear them possibly again in case I have nothing else. If they fit better then I'd wear them more often. Worth the gamble either way
Dude after stumbling down the rabbit hole of your channel I legitimately can't believe you only have 9k subs. You've got talent man. It's also crazy how many references (the background music, seinfeld references, etc.) I get from your vids lol it's like you're the better dressed greek version of me (italian).
Man, I wish I could just afford bespoke for all of my clothing. Unfortunately I have nothing even remotely close to where I live, I'd have to go all the way to Europe or somewhere in the East. I'm not about to go to a Sketchy place like New York city either.
Hey man....yeah everything right now keeps delaying my next video so much that I'm wondering if God's trynna tell me something. I immediately started filming my next vid a few days after this one but caught the coofid (wink wink) so that set me back two weeks though I worked a bit near the end (I was miserable not being able to do anything) then this next vid was supposed to come out a while ago but something went wrong again and again. I'm putting out a Patreon video tomorrow. was supposed to be today but things got busy (it's our Xmas Eve today for most us Orthodox). So sorry about this! I'm grinding my ass off trying to get you guys some content
@@DemetriosLevi No worries, I'm sure you're working hard and doing plenty of other stuff (non channel related) too. Do you have any recommendations for made to measure brands, like Collaro? I like Collaro, but unfortunately the gorge of there sport jacket lapels is too low for my taste, and I don't like how their stuff Is pretty conservatively cut, I do like quite a few of their fabrics though and that they have the option for trial garments. overall the MTM system and website is very good in the way it is set up. I like the style of Spier and Mackays Neo cut sportcoats but unfortunately their MTM program is pretty awful with the way its set up so I don't trust going that route. It's so difficult finding good Online MTM Sartorial menswear, somebody needs to create a software for online Bespoke and MTM menswear, Something that creates an incredibly accurate 3D digital model of a person (along with measurements) just buy filming a 360 view of someone's body with a cell phone camera. I'll probably head over to your Patreon a little later today or in a few days. When you say "I think God's trying to tell me something" do you mean Quitting the Sartorial side of things you're working on? No need to answer that question if you don't want too.
