I love how they made it look like OP with that armor but yet it can’t really do solo. Fighting alone in close distance with that third shell reload is death in advance. It’s pretty slow and not great gun accuracy.
@@IvagaanimaI I mean in situations when you feel third shell will at least eliminate one tank which might gives you better chance to survive… You will do it. But then again. That’s probably the end. Don’t expect to carry games like with Type 71. And don’t expect to do well 1 VS 1 against almost any tank.
It doesnt need a crazy accurate gun anyway. Its accuracy does the job just fine in first line hulldown situations or close distance heavy brawls which is how the tank is supposed to be plaued
The armour shown near the beginning of the video isn’t with 7 degrees but 10. The turret ring is slanted at 3 degrees which means the gun actually only goes down by 7 to make the 10 degrees total
Thanks for this honest initial review. Looks like I am going to pass on grinding this line, as I have much better TDs to play with. Even the main feature of this tank line, namely solid armor, does not seem to stand up to premium ammo, not even to mention the horrible dispersion
Trust me, the armor is tougher that it looks. Not to mentioned enhancing armor equipment making JpzE100 impossible to pen this tank upon hulldown. And JpzE100 has 418mm of HEAT pen. Only tank that have ability to do so is Ho-Ri, however, even with Ho-Ri highground hulldown Mino still a tough nut to crack.
I think the tier 8 and 7 of the like are the best ones to play, especially the tier 8. It's pretty cracked with it having an alternate gun having 3k dpm as well as being impossible to pen hulldown unless you hit the super tiny cupola, you would need something like a TS-5 to have a chance of cutting through. Not to mention 11° of gun depression though it's pretty much dead if a light or medium gets to that rear.

@@hellohowareyou3881 Yeah, but tier 8 has like 1700 DPM eith autoreloader only firing first shell, and single shot gun goes up to 3000k with rammer+provisions. So, if they gave mino single shot gun with ~3000 DPM, it could break it
It got one of the most boring playstyle, and the accuracy is bad because u arent supposed to go camp with the tank, it just need better dpm and a bit of traverse speed buff and it is good
Can't believe this, wargaming have now refused to discuss my matchmaking, then you highlight my complaint....if I play on Middleburg I usually get all my heavies and tds go to town....and then the 2 or 3 of us who know the map end up v 5/ 6 or 7.
That's the main problem in some players using TD, they abuse their camo rate and got left behind and the main reason they are easy pick for light tanks.
the so called "reserve shell" is absolutely pointless, why do you have to wait half a min jus for one shell jus make the auto loader same kran or prog or tvp
I foresee nub players using it and getting flanked from behind and nuked. Will have to be careful of finding yourself alone. Like the badger used to be like. Actually can't wait to play the badger against it! I ❤️ my badger. A bully,brawler that just doesn't care.
Yeah its literally an Italian yoh so i dont see why others find it hard to play this, if u know how to play the yoh then surely u can play well in the minotauro
everyone was affraid of this tank but after few games vs Mino and im sure that in few weeks wilk be there less and less Minos because its very hard to play for an unexperienced player.And it deffinitely doesnt loves HE ammo 😂😂😂
Today, I saw the T8 one tearing apart two T8 tds in my team head to head. He alone destroyed two same tier tds easily. First took care of one of the tds by using only the 1st shell. Then he started to do the same on the 2nd. And then he used all of his shells on the 2nd td. I think Wg either wants all of us to play with the op tanks (new Italian tds, Japanese T10 heavy etc) or wants us to stop playing the game until they fix the issues they create.
I stand with you. I don’t get a single cent why some of the fools here say this line needs a “buff” like wtf? It’s already powerful if not too powerful on its own.
In my opinion the tier VIII is the best of the line, it has 11° gun depression, and high dpm single shot gun. The tier XI is special aswell it has 13° degree of gun depression
This sounds familiar lol I remember when the MVI YOH came out droodles called it the most boring tank aswell cause of long reload until you get more patient with the tank XD the minotauro will be boring for a bit to probably until he plays it some more
@@DroodlesBlitz the tier 7 has pretty op turret armor 250 that’s more than pharaoh and annihlator because it’s sloped not flat also kinda looks like an mbt 70
I hate this new line... They are super annoying for the enemies but not even fun while playing. T8 with single shot is ok, but the autoreloaders are horrible. I played 1 game in T7 and T8 Stick with 75% Crew (as the average Player will do) and holy sh*t, you have like 800 DPM, last shell of T7 loads 28 secs with 75% Crew. For 240 Damage!
It definitely helps if there aren't loads of them like in yours games cause on the EU sever there aren't that many and I'm shredding ppl , it's really good on the front line , just watch the tracks
I played earlier with 3 on each side got 1 kill and 2450 damage for a 2nd class, I played a couple more games and lost, checked the players and all the oppo players were over 52% and my team all under 50 ffs.
@@ciilqabeduubi3953 that's unfortunate fella you just gotta remember some ppl aren't as fast as others , and the match maker will calm down soon with the amount of tanks
I run refined gun - I find it make Mino SO MUCH MORE ACCURATE! Like, not even fully aimed in - the shells go a LOT closer to the center. Fully aimed it is night and day bro! I hated the derpy accuracy but with refined gun you get to the OLD max accuracy quicker even tho u lose aimtime! Aim fully and u can actually hit weakspots. Got 10 games solo in mine, averaging 3k damage so far had a 5k+ game and a 4.1k loss among other 3k+ losses - at 50% winrate so far tho. I really like the tank when u can work it right, go hull down vs the enemy and watch most of them bounce premium shells - it CAN be ridiculous, but as soon as someone's got the side of your turret or hull, you WILL be punished - that is why I CANNOT carry solo in this tank, in my M-VI-Yoh with 2 shot I carry hard, but Mino is too slow to react to a 1 vs 2+ when they actually come at u together and flank both sides
When the matchmaking clean up from these new TDs this tank will be a huge difference in the games, not now because there's everyone grinding it, some of them will stop using others tanks, more and more will be using the same tank, and you who wants to perform good on these tanks will get rekt by others using it, so the best timing to grind it is 3 months after it got implemented in the game.... This was like that for Hori when it came out, same for Foch, we just need to get used with the tank, for people trying to take advantage of it before nerfed it's okay most people will do it for the time, but the true players trying to grind it and trying to get the line maxed will suffer with the impact of the matchmaking broken, for me instead of playing it rn I'm counter it with others TD more stronger, they can't deal with the good TDs or others tanks, I was playing on my SU100Y and I ate all them that were stock trying to grind it lol 😂 I can grind it later, I'm not desesperated
I just got this tank and i already regretted grinding it,,dpm is horrible,,moves so slow,,even slower that e100,,HEAT goes right thorough the turret,,and many more disadvantages
Honestly, this tank is bloody boring, I've already free xp the entire line and it's very sluggish in all areas, the armour is nice though but that's probably the only attribute of the tank. Overall a 5/10 for the entire tech tree. Sure would love to see how the future Chinese lights turn out.
Droodles I’d say I’m decent at the game I have a mauschen 200 gold got a med for free 47 percent win rate it’s just bots ruining games I’m tired of it also war thunder has way better matchmaking just saying
I was playing in the newer Japanese tier 9 and I went up against a bunch of these new Italian tank destroyers at tier 10 they destroyed me very quickly cuz one tank did 1,000 damage first they hit me with one shot I was backing up to cover then they should be with the second one before I had the chance to get the cover and I can't penetrate the armor at all from the front with APCR
Camo is definitely not for this tank even for semovente m41 thats so small almost like E25 and somehoe only have 33 when stationary with camonet equipped
@@unknownwatcher4583 Well yeah... It's a team dependent tank, you can't rush an enemy if their team is backing him up. The same can be said for all autoloaders "just rush em when they're reloading" which is good advice IF he's alone and doesn't have a team/isn't isolated
On the bright side. Mino is a perfect Type 71 counter. I guess nobody going to complain about Type 71 being broken anymore. So how do we nerf this TD. IDK, so far, it has up and down. The downside is that Mino is horrible against other Minos. While also it is horrible on a players who thinks keep firing mindlessly with Auto Reloader that actually suppose to reserve some rounds to gains best DPM out of it. 2700 looks really low but considering that this is a TD that being a HT, it’s quite decent for Heavy Tank level of DPM. But again we have to comes down to the question, how do we nerf it. Simple really, nerf Cupola armor to be a little bit thinner so certain rounds can get through. Not the turret armor hence Kran can be as effective plus Ho-Ri still not struggle to pen it. But I think this tank falls the same treatment of Type 71 which is to nerf the lowerplate and calls it a day. Cuz nerfing anything beyond that will make this tank being demolished it’s actual purpose. When comes nerfing and buffing the tank. I tends to sees the buffing and nerfing to not broke the original purpose of the reason why it designed like this in the first place. Ao Armor is out of the question unless I want some noticable weakspot. Nerf the gun? Bruh, the gun is alrd quite messy now, nerfing the gun will just making it unplayable. Plus love to use this thing against Concept 1B. IDK currently Mino still quite new to the line, I want to gain more info on how average game of Mino is. Cuz RN Mino is flooded the tier X which is normal for new tanks in the line. I think this will tone down a little bit after 4-5 days. Once I gains enough info I’ll make sure how to nerf this tank properly without removing its ability of being this heavily armored TDs. Nvm, I think I know how to nerf it. Nerf the side armor from 110mm to 50mm. And remembers Droodles, WG changed Mm in this updates. Not sure what it is yet but it seems they removed the vehicle limits now. Oh and also Vents are good for Auto Reloaders. Yes, it sounds weird but Auto Reloaders gains the most benefits on Vents. Especially Italian TDs. You can literally make the rounds reload faster half a second in each ammo loading.
@@unknownwatcher4583 I didn’t asked for Trading shots. But the armor of Mino with Hulldown although pretty tough. Type 71 need to brute force to literally wins Mino out of DPM fight. While Mino can be more defensive. Yes, DPM trading fights and less mobility makes Mino so team dependent. Mino only weakness is literally brute force and flanking. Unless Type 71 is full of Japanese spirit and decided to tenoheka banzai charge. Mino still going to deals huge damage on Type 71. 1600K burst is still very powerful and definitely crippled Type 71 from being offensive to defensive. Mino is not about winning the fight. But it’s more like sending a message that “Hey, you can Pushed me but I’ll notgoing down without a fight” Still, I prefered Mino PC version. Atleast that thing literally a T95 with turret and Auto Loader.
@@sat_np2737 I cant believe this tank its just fresh new and people want it nerfed. Even when its so team dependent. I mean, thats just a BIG downside, you cant trust teams nowadays.
@@MikhailRinn69 So I partially solved it. the culprit was due to "bad update" like wargaming support sayed and they reccomend redownloading whole game. But instead I removed data/3d/FX folder and redownloaded it through steam verification. Game no longer crashes but battle loading screens are teared so I used a mod to replace them. So it's good :)

I always love your reviews but honestly they sometimes misrepresent the tanks u r reviewing simply because you ur so much better than the average viewer, and it shows when the battles u highlight are all aces. I think the reviews would be a lot more helpful if you review the tank like you normally do(stats like armor, pen mobility), but then u review submitted battles from viewers on discord or something and u commentate on what they have done wrong and how they should have played instead.
This tank is so underwhelming, everyone saying it's gonna be meta but as it stands, its apparently not. At least give it a bit more mobility especially on the reverse speed.
@@sat_np2737 the minotauro would be irrelevant as it wouldnt be unique lol. we already have the badger or the e3 for that, both of which are statistically better than the minotauro. Either remove the reserve mechanic or give it slightly better mobility
