I've been using your first "0 to Hero" vid a lot, since this is my 2nd week of playing. That said, this came at a really great time. Thanks for all your great videos!
Bro you have THE best and informative videos. I started off watching aurron Jay and other streamers even doctor Diggs. Their videos are tailored twords people who are kinda already good or knowledgeable about the game. U really give it to us for pros or the noobs. Thanks man
An excellent guide, as always. Which will help me get back into the game (kinda got frustrated after several level 30 UR units without making progress in PVE.) I'll see if focusing Mont, Sakura and Ayaka can get me pushed through. Thank you again!
Nice vid as usual brother. What sticks for me the most is about the new units and bingo boards. Im still pulling for units i like but its been a while since i stop buying shards and just settle from the free ones or until i finish bingo boards, then hard quest and chocobo it out. this works like a charm and for some reason my stress level has gone very low 😅
I slow build all URs and stack Visiore. You will eventually get them maxed and have a ton of visiore to either pull on a limited banner or a surprise banner for perhaps a meta defining unit.
Incredible video! Been watching the channel for the past 3 weeks and this is the PERFECT vid for to get people up to speed for the anniversary. As a matter of fact a whole series of anniversary vids is kinda needed and I enjoy your take on the games mechanics. Keep up the great work, love the planning guide vids and I hope you have great character pulls.
I have played the never pull strat for the entire first year of the game. I had played The Alchemist Code for a year, so I came into this game with a plan & I have executed it unfailingly thru this year. I have only pulled whats free except for the discount pulls that are 1000 vizi. Besides that, I have only pulled 21 full price pulls all year & frankly, they were done to get azure spheres more than anything.... Azures are my greatest bottleneck of the game because of this strat. I do spend, a single dollar on nearly every day this year.... there have been days & even a couple weeks where the value was just not there & I didnt spend. Outside that, Ive spent 20 to 30$ on 4 occasions through the year. I specifically avoid all limiteds, unless free, & double cost units unless MR. Its been a very successful strategy, I have nearly 30 finished URs & MRs.
Nice! I can tell you have a great account strategy from all the comments on the vids. Keep it up! I'm actually VERY short on Azures right now as well...
As far as I'm aware, all of those summon tickets are set at the selection of characters available when the ticket came out. Even if the pool of available characters expands, the tickets will not be able to summon any of the new ones
Yeah, but you can’t get mindspheres until EX jobs go live. So it makes sense to hoard them until next week otherwise you’ll be missing out on a lot of mindspheres for OG units. Edit: actually, with the “summon ticket A” types of tickets, new units are added to the pool periodically. With select tickets, though, they are limited to a pool of units released before a certain date.
Great video. i really like that you are a F2P focus channel. There is just one thing I kindda disagree on, that is rainbow tickets. I understand the logic behind it but i think it's better to concider it as an immediat bonus than a strategy to get a specific unit later. in global we can foresee what unit to save for but there will always be a better unit later to save for and the more you wait, the more unit will be in the pull. Meaning the further we go into the game, the lower the probability to get the unit we want.
Newer players will definitely benefit more from pulling with the tickets. Experienced accounts, for example, the 40 shards won't really mean much, but even the slightest chance at a new unit MIGHT. Of course it's always a game of luck with tickets :)
I have something to add, and that is unless there is a step up that guarantees the banner unit with the visior that you have, don't waste your visior on the banner in hope that you'll get the unit on the first few rolls. 30k Vis is not enough to get the summon medals you need for the pity system in the mog shop. I pretty much ruined a reroll account this way.
As far as saving tickets go, you just have to save them until EX jobs go live. That’s the point where we’ll be able to get mindspheres on units that are already Max awakened. So, you can really just have a pulling party next week and you’ll get all the mindspheres for dupes even if the character’s EX job hasn’t been released yet, then you’ll just have them ready to go when it does get released. Edit: never mind, I just realized you were talking about “summon ticket A” types of tickets which have an expanding pool rather than select tickets which have a pool set by units released before a certain date
Yup! For example, Camillo will get added to those summon pools at some point, so if you really want him you could potentially wait until he gets added to use your tickets :)
I'm pretty sure my method of going through PvE as a f2p player is basically having Mont, 1 mage DPS(Macherie, then Y'shtola, then finally Mediena and currently Sakura), 1 ATK DPS(Robb, then Xiza, then Kitone, and finally Engelbert), 1 dragoon(I used Ramada for early game), and healer (I used either Macherie or Fina until I gotten Ayaka). Later on, I swapped Ramada to Frederika because I had some far-range strats after failing horribly when using Raiyuu. Only problem is that she doesn't deal much damage but she's still my more powerful gunner compared to Lu'Cia(89 vs 55). And now at the late-game, Luartha since her DPS rate as a missile type is just insane(and the dual gunner abilities suits more for myself+sidewinders)
I keep getting confused with Min/Max as a term these days... Are people saying to go from starter to most optimized without making mistakes? It used to mean focussing on one thing to max (Max) while ignoring everything else (min). EG in a game where you get to apply stats to a character per level, a Min'Max tank might have every stat possible assigned to defense. In WotV I can only think Min/Max to cards or characters but I know that's not what y'all are talking about. Though, if I were to start again from day 1, I'd consider never pulling for a non limited character, only rarely on limited characters and always on cards and espers etc that I like
I think you should at one point really try to get a solid mono dark or light team. You aren't going to always be able to have the right element unit for whatever raid, so a team of either mono light or dark will always be the "second best" option for any raid.
i never agree when someone says @ dont pull with less than 20k @, specialy now that we have barracks. the important part is getting unit. i got agrias with 2k lapis remaining and managed to max her. yeah i got lucky but the point is that if u want a unit go for it. u can always max that unit over time.
Hello everybody, i began playing like a week ago. The first cards (as URs) the game gave me were Frederika, Miranda, Whisper, Oelde (i think this is default?), Ilydra, Skahal and the last one Mediana. TBH i'm glad because I like mages most and. Right now i only have Mont as my tank. Right now i have Mediana at 4 star and 3 LB (soon 4 hopefully). I try to boost Frederika as ranged DPS. Got like 35k free vis. Should I try to pull a Tank? Focus on Mediana or another mage or maybe Frederika? Someone in game suggested that i save up on vis for an upcoming big event. Can i get some advise please? Can be general advise too. Thank you.
Ildrya, Mont, Mediena is a decent start. Save for now and go hard on Tidus for FFX. He can tank well enough, and you can flex him into a DPS later when you get a true tank later :)
Will I still be able to get soul orbs from character that are 99 and don't have their EX job yet or is it only for the character with their EX job available?
I believe you can collect soul orbs for all characters once the system launches. I will double check this, but this seems to be the case (i.e. you can build up soul orbs long before the unit's EX comes out)
I can attest to the never pull on banners strategy working. That's how I've played my account since day 1 and I swear my account is better than a bunch of people who have spent more money than mine. The "playing behind the meta" thing also means nothing because this games meta isnt linear sometimes an old unit is actually the counter to a brand new unit.
hei, semi new player here. I have few questions hopefully someone can answer. I want to follow videos recommendation about having at least one character that fullfill the different roles. I have Yuna and working on her to 120, and Tidus, lv 99 Stern Ruin, lv 99 Duane and lv 99 Mediena and lv 89 Gilgamesh, I wonder what type of roles do they fit? I also bought a +3 Magistral Rod, but should I 5 star it? if I manage to farm enough recipes for a +5 rod, and use the +3 as material, do I lose all the materials I invest in the +3 one?
1. You can use the +3 Magistral Rod to build the +5, you do not lose the materials. Make sure you check the "use crafted equipment as materials" box. You have a couple weeks to farm the recipes, so yes I would go for the +5! 2. The one role you are "missing" would be Steal time/Thief, but that's last priority. Buy/farm Xiza from the Mog Shop (Guild Medals) both for Steal time AND the bells. Start looking for units that can help you build "UP" on mono-element (Black Rose Helena for Duane & Sterne?). Also, don't forget vision cards! Omega Weapon may be a good investment for you ;)
You still need the appropriate vision cards, espers and equipments for your maxed out character. You need to max out these things too to bring out the full team firepower. Of the three I mentioned, as he mentioned in the video, vision cards is the thing that separates and transforms an average team to strong one. It buffs your character equipping it as well as your whole party. Equipment comes second and esper third.
400 extra shards for 120.... Dude that's so troll. What's next? 800 for 150? Imagine needing that many shards for a unit when the game converted over 300 of the SAME unit shard to UR mog shards cause you already maxed that unit out. Salt on the wound :(
This is good tip if you try to get your accounts up to point but of me i not here to mid/max my account i enjoy summon of new unit and try out new team ever if that unit i pull is weak if you keep the same old unit the game get bored this way not try to attack you on this if it sound like that i sorry of it but this way do not seem like fun
Traaaash, so no fun get old units to max. Yeah lets play this game like an excel spread. Whats a game if theres no fun and only results..no thanks, trash advice
