WoTV New Player Guide! How to FIND POWER in War of the Visions [WoTV on Amazon App Store] 

I started about 7-8 months ago, some suggestions for presenting information and tips for new players. You've been playing a lot longer, so you may have some blind spots because you have been doing this for so long. Gacha games are always different starts for early players vs those who jump in much later. My tips are kind of additional things to help with long term success (so Im not saying they belong in this video, but may be helpful). The first two though are suggestions for presentation of information. The suggestions for Auronnj Jayy A.)If you are describing character power to a new player, no one just starting this game is going to understand the term "cost" when describing a character. UR, MR, SR may be more easily understood (especially since UR have the fancy summon animations. It's pretty intuitive to know they are good units because they get a cat walk when summoned.) So if you go over stuff like the select ticket summons, and point to the the 100 cost units, you need to clarify what you are talking about. B.) It might be good to go over weapon chains and elements just a bit to new players when discussing early teams. Chaining can really power up new accounts in pvp and pve, especially ones that synergize with your free 99 units. If they get a free 99 slash unit, its pretty simple, but like I pulled Fred, but also got Luartha and V. Salire in my first week of noob pulls and made a good missile team that let me go through content REALLY fast. Later, I then focused on a water squad when the VCs I pulled happen to heavily aligned with water and that helped me progress in pvp quite a bit, and became the anchor team for my account. C.) Please stress both Lucio and Xiza's bells more... At least until its buried into new player's heads. No amount of praise for either is enough for new accounts. The tips for new players: 1.) There is some really good farming in the story campaign. Specifically: The Four Stone Chests or Head North in chapter 4 both have the Platinum Rod recipe as a drop. They are only 6 stam too! Both those missions and others, you also get a ton of Faint memories and other items you need to level up all of your characters so farming the story early is really a good idea. Especially when you have the beginner bonus of double drops they give when you first start the game or they will occasionally drop as part of an event! When you are starting out, you have a ton of units, and the new player bonuses will run out quickly (it seems like a lot at first, but eventually you do run out). 2.) Stay away from going after the selection quests its a trap for new players! For the first few months anyways. New players simply wont have the MRs built up enough for a long time to get the UR characters that will really help them outside of selection quests. I totally made this mistake. Also in this vein, unless you really like a character in the story, dont bother leveling SR or R units early on. There are just going to be better units available and they do use valuable mats such as fragments and awakening prisms that other, stronger units, could really use. Those characters SR and R may have some limited uses later, but not early on. Even some MR units are kind of iffy, but also some MRs can bet better than a lot of UR units. 3.) Try to clear level 50 content with a mono element team! You can just bring 1 unit lvl 120 from that element from the friend's list to basically solo the lvl 50 (and sometimes 80 content). This is the best source of magicite in the game that you can earn! You run out quickly with all the new espers you get early on, especially if you manage to pick up something like either Odin or Bahamut. Running this content will net a lot of gil, magicite, Burst and armor pots and often you have to run it a few time for the training missions connected. 4.) Dont level every character you see, try to stick with just a few elements! You'll run out of resources really fast if you try to level every UR unit you get in the first month of playing. Your account will be much stronger if you have a plan. No one has a perfect plans, and no one executes perfectly. Someday that Husbandu or Waifu will lead you astray with your vis. It happens, but if you have a stock pile of resources, its easier to move on (or level them up if you get a pleasant surprise). 5.) If you look at what units are coming in the future and really want one, try to save 40k vis for them. Hopefully it wont take that much to summon them, but if it does, you still will get them on a guaranteed pity, but if you have less, there is a chance you wont get them at all. Another reason to have a vis stockpile rarely, Gumi will basically reward players for saving and you can turn in some vis to get even more vis back (you always get atleast 10% more than what you put in, possibly double). These events are rare, not sure if Gumi will do this anymore, but its always great when they do. The last one I feel like was 3+ months ago? Another variation of this event they more recently did was if you spend X amount of vis, you get a generous amount of vis back (so maybe 2k vis back for the first 2k spent, then the 2k back for 5k spent, then 10k spent, then 20k spent etc. It made for a big incentive to spend lots of vis in a short time frame. 6.) Joining an active guild (and participate in guild pvp, even if you suck at it) is good. Guild medals not only give you a free unit/shards but also I find its the most economical way to get the prisms and fragments you need. Plus guilds that are active will talk and answer questions you might have. Guilds get bonuses by just having a certain amount of active players, so even if you aren't great at the game, you are contributing by being active in the game. 7.) Every month the shops reset, so if you save 2k friendship medals or 2k guild medals and "buy" that character again, you get the same amount of character shards as if you bought each shard individually but you also get a free rainbow shard (which are always a limiting factor for newer players.)

I think the best part about if new players want to start this game is that we now have Background Repeat which is such a huge QoL for farming that piece of gear you want to farm up for while doing other things in the process. Amazing tips for new players. As someone who start this game over a year ago this guy knows his stuff and I got into this game from his older new player guide videos. Very detail guide for new players. My no.1 tip is this game takes times to build things up, so unless you are whale, please take your time and be patient .

You didn't mention that you get one free unlock/day in the farplane archive. If you use the free unlock, and farm that quest for the day, you can do a different one tomorrow. No need to spend keys at all.

Great tips for new players. I'll just add the importance of 1) raising your bravery and (if you use magic / healers) your faith. Fina is a godsend for mages - raise her cheer as soon as you can. 2) Getting a strong friend unit to help you clear content and farm. 3) use multi battle. You'll get higher drop rates, stronger allies can help you clear content beyond your power level and you can befriend them later, you get free Vis for the first few multis (at least you did back in the day, three years ago), and you can farm even if you're out of energy.

I created a new account during the 2k guaranteed UR vision card banner, and they've changed the new player experience a lot. There's a new player visback banner, like 5 level 99 units (sr/r rarity) There's 3 opportunities to get a level 99 unit, they give out a ticket, and there's that guaranteed level 99 unit banner. There's a beginner MR shop that gives you +5 gear and awakening materials, for only 500 vis each piece of gear.

It's crazy that Bahamut is the strongest esper but easiest to fight to get mats to upgrade anywho thanks for the vid in not too new anymore but hopefully all the newer players really take advantage of this and sub to you!!

Also for new players, there's a free level 99 UR unit that you can utilize. I got level 99 Vinera when I started.

After almost a year of playing, I finally made my first purchase, I basically had every VC, besides bahamut, that f deal really came in handy.

Tips for new players: Do the new player visback banner, especially if you plan on playing a lot. Buy out the MR beginner gear shop, there's a ton of +5 gear of the optimal type with awakening materials included for only 500 vis each Do the level 99 guaranteed unit banner. Focus on the units you have level 99 at first, they'll carry through a lot of the content. If you get stuck, always try adding friends, some beefy units can carry through the campaign. I recommend trying to go for a Black Rose Helena or a really good farmer at first so you can quickly clear the majority of content, and get all the free vis.

I just hit day 550 and I'm still here watching these videos. If I had to rank the importance of each of these things for a top tier account, it's: Vision Cards>Espers>Units>Gear Keep in mind it only costs 10K vis to guarantee a brand new VC, vs 36-40K for a new unit

My biggest tip for new player is "Patience's". And maxed your barracks, they cost less than 10k visiore.

I like to summon on the normal Gil summon banner on my f2p account. Sometimes you can get 3 or 4 UR shards per pull. Downside is they are random and don’t have immediate value but eventually you start to collect mog medals when you get 600 for the unit.

For a new player, it's time vs money. If you spend, then you are buying time so to speak. Example "do I spend this month or wait and build power over the next two months"

I started 1 week ago manage to get psaro but i can only limit break him up to 3rd maxed awaken and i can seem finish the board quest to get more shard

Best tip to power up is spend spend spend!! Edit: you get a free unlock every day for those archives (or you used to), so if you use your free unlock and work your way through the content day to day, you can earn yourself a good amount of free vis.

Hello, with a reroll account i started 1day before FFT banner end i could get top 1k rank and clear all selection ice quest (not perfect for the 13). you missed the fact that there is a shop the 2 first week with a lot of differents super valuables items for a very very cheap prices ! Check this guyz you will be really surprised.

this game is too generous on giving UR unit but, the hard part is to get the shard... 1k shard is pain in the a...

So I'm strong enough to do the Lucio quest, I'm about 130 days in. But I can't max out that last quest for the last shards. How do I hit for 3k on that char!?
