Adams/Wilson/Lazard/Breece/Braelon would be enough for Aaron to thrive. But without Adams, I think the Jets are one of those teams that typically ends up playing in close games weekly that either team can win or lose based on just a couple of plays. With Adams they could be a team that typically plays with a lead. And I'm certain the Jets fanbase doesn't care what it costs if it means a Super Bowl run is possible. Not sure about all that myself, but ya know.
Hahaha they were together in Geeenbay. Did they go to the superbowl? Now Rogers is 40 years old they will win some puff games but won't win the chip. That ship has sailed ⛵️ 😂
@robertmartinjr.4537 every season they were competitive and had a shot at it. More than 85% of the league. You're argument is tired and old. Teams win championship, any given Sunday is real. The goal is to be genuinely competitive every season. By your logic the only good team in the NFL is the chiefs. Nobody else won the championship for 2 yrs. Trash 😂😂
Don’t ever let Lombardi talk about the Raiders. Pure bias punditry. He was fired by Al and his sons were fired by AP. He clearly has resentment over the Raiders
@evangalinsky2499 Lombardi was close to AL Davis. He spent some significant time with the Raiders. Lombardi whether he was fired or not he was a AL Davis acolyte thru and thru. Even Marcus Allen who had a notorious relationship with AL Davis mended his fences with the Raiders. The motto "Once a Raider always a Raider" is a real thing.
@@evangalinsky2499Now Lombardi Sr was very salty when A.P. fired his son when he became the interim coach last year. He said some untoward things about A P. That rubbed many Raiders fans the wrong way myself included. But he later stated his affinity towards the Raiders is still on.
I mean they also have to be able to USE that top WR in such a way that he brings greater value than the players that are there now, AND, value that's commensurate with what he's being paid. Can Nathaniel Hackett make Davante Adams a $10-$15 million WR? Maybe. I have my questions. The problem arises if that answer winds up being "no". Because if that's the case, that money can be spent better elsewhere.
I think quinnen williams liked a post saying to just pay Hassan … if that’s true then just pay him, .. think about trading for adams and paying reddick
Give them a 5th and Reddick. Two problems solved at one time. I don’t know what it is but the receivers on the jets are not getting it done. Adam’s knows the playbook, knows how they do things and is the easiest chance to upgrade. If this doesn’t work out they will just be blowing the whole team up anyways so you might as well take the shot and the upgrade now. Rodgers still looks like he can get it done. More weapons only increases their chances of winning.
If I’m the Jets I’m taking Devante and giving him a one year deal to play the rest of this season with the option of free agency next season because of the uncertainty with Rodgers career after this year
Please bring in Mr Adams. The only thing this year about "G5" about Garrett "G5" Wilson is his engine whine.... just work on your game, listen to your QB and learn from Davante if this trade happens. As fans we would love to see you and Davante on the field together.
I'll say this, assuming this actually gets done, and the Jets take on Adams for another 2 seasons....Aaron Rodgers plays another two seasons (if healthy of course). So, yeah, it might not be likely, but there is a world where the Jets go all out with their cap space and in the draft adding weapons trying to win a Super Bowl. Most teams in the NFL are just a couple of good off-season's away from becoming very legit. Look at Houston. CJ Stroud shows up and suddenly you have a team when before you didn't. And then the window is open. A very brief two-year window (Rodgers is old) could open if Davante Adams becomes a Jet.
Adams wants to win a Superbowl NOW! All due respect to Aaron Rogers and the Jets but his best chance is to join a team with that trajectory and that team would be the 49ers!
As a Jets fan on the surface it makes them better but it’s not gonna fix the poor coaching and horrible play calling Adams would be better off going somewhere else objectively speaking if he wants to win this Rodgers experiment as much as I love the guy and it’s not really his fault is on the cusp of blowing up and this staff is a sinking ship
Saleh seems like he’s in over his head. He may be a great DC, but his playcalling for an overall game is atrocious. I’d bet on him being a DC on some other team within a couple years. Glad my Lions took Campbell over him when it came down to it 😂
Also not sure how Wilson would react. He's could be a 3rd option with Devante and Lazard. Devante would also ask for a reworked contract for 2025 and Wilson would also be eligible for a new one as well. He can't take that too well.
@@Thrashman-ye4cf yeah I think Saleh is very good at just that being a DC he’s not enough of a leader to take control of a team as a whole he lets Hackett deal with the offense (which is a terrible idea) and just plays the “CEO” role and he just can’t do it I can’t say enough great things about the guy as a man and human being in general but he’s not an NFL head coach. You guys lucked out with Dan Campbell I was a big fan of his during that hiring cycle happy to see you guys turn it around and become a hell of a team. Jets are going to end up firing Saleh and this staff, Rodgers will retire, and it’ll be back to looking for the next guy to “turn this franchise around” I’ve accepted that I won’t see my team win anything in my lifetime lol
@@jasonvo7851 if the Jets don’t make it to the playoffs this year I see Garrett requesting a trade after this season anyway he’s fed up with Hackett and what’s been going here in terms of not winning can’t say I blame the kid he deserves better. Sauce is the only guy I think would stay because for whatever reason he loves the Jets and being a Jet and already said he wants to spend his whole career here but if he changed his mind decided he wanted out couldn’t blame him either
Rodgers need to take pay cut if he trying to recruit players to be superbowl contenders... cringe for him to not want it if this is actually the reality.
Would he make the Jets better?! Like how he made the Raiders better??? The top 3 most dysfunctional teams in the league are Browns, Jets, Raiders. Have been for years. Going there, and saying he makes the team better is like dropping an ice cube in a pot of chili and saying it makes the chili colder. Like… sure I guess but not enough to change anything. Saleh is gone after this year. Rodgers is more than likely done after this year. The team isn’t middling. I guess if he has no choice and the Jets offer best, cool, but mane should be hunting for rings
@@mathewsiebuhr4760 if the jets had even a decent O line you might be right, but as it stands rodgers doesnt have the time to push the ball downfield. that means most his passes will still be inside 10 yards. because of that the D can cover over top of both WRs and creep up to help in the run game as well. unless he has more time to set up routes the are still going to be relying on the WR to make guys miss and break tackles all game long.
@@kingzut Things would open up considerably if a healthy Davante Adams joined the Jets. You're assuming that the disparity between weekly matchups won't end up favoring the Jets a fair portion of the time. They would. Half the teams in the league won't have the personnel to just walk in and stop 4 quarters of Davante Adams, Garrett, Wilson, Allen Lazard, Mike Williams, Breece Hall, and Braelon Allen with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. Leaky O-Line or not.
@@crazyworld54321 most teams easily have the players to do it. with out time and throwing the ball less than 10 yards means zones are MUCH tighter and DBs dont actually have to cover long. DBs just have to be in position to make tackles and sometimes knock down a ball/make rodgers hold the ball. adding more WRs only helps so much especially when there isnt time. plus adams requires a lot of targets and so does wilson. at a certain point you are no longer spreading the ball around.
Aaron Rogers is not near as good as he was 4 years ago. I am shocked to hear these "Official" guys not point this out... They had zero... ZERO touchdowns this last game that A.R. should of been able to take down with some skill. Adding another player to help him isn't going to make him younger and suddenly bring back his awareness. Coach sees it I believe, I think A.R. is not washed up but he has lost something with that injury last year. I dealt with him his entire career until the Packers finally got rid of him, why, because they saw the slope.
If you watched their last game, the weather was pouring rain ghe whe game and the Jets oline was getting killed all game and there was drops and run game non existent. It was on just him. He didn't miss a few throws but for the most part the line wasn't holding up...he showed he can still love against the Pat's but can't run every play..he got hit like 15 times last game..that's horrible line play
Did you watch the last game? He has no chemistry with the young receivers. They weren’t even looking for the ball by the time it was thrown. Plus the playcalling has been horrendous. Not giving Braelon Allen the ball at the goal line isn’t Rogers fault. AR has been moving behind the line better than I’ve seen in years
They got beat home when the tundra is frozen in the playoffs their last two years together by the Bucs and the 9ers annnnnnd you reaaaallly think you’ll do better in the AFC? Behind the Bills? With Mahomes in the conference?! 😂😂😂😂⚰️
Don't nobody got no more respect for Aaron Rodgers he need to roll it up the Jets are trash they only got a good defense Garrett needs to get out of there
Lombardi has no credibility. I literally skip video or part of the video when he speaks. He has been fired from all his jobs in the NFL. He is like a skip bayless. 😂 nobody cares or listens. Come on pat let's not have him on anymore.
Adams is not going back to old news on a different team and he is overhyped and not worth the attention which is why he is a raider your not winning no damn superbowl with the jets you scrubs ever 😤👎
Garrett Wilson seems to already resent Rodgers’ clout within the Jets organization. It would seem that the addition of Davante Adams would only make that worse.
Adams, Rodgers and Hacket have won together in the past and it’s ridiculous to think Adams wouldn’t make Jets better. Especially since Rodgers prefers familiar faces. It’s a no-brainer 🤪
Do they really want a guy who quits on his team while earning $17 million? Player is only happy with a good QB. Rather than going to battle with his team, he stabs them in the back and runs away so he can have better stats, and be with his old buds.
Well he desires proven chemistry over a good qb. No shame on him. He went to the raiders bc Carr was his qb in college then they ship him out. It’s like how a college recruit goes to a college bc of a coach but then the coach retires or gets fired and then the kid enters the transfer portal due to the fact that their own reasoning for going to the school in the first place was bc of 1 factor.
@@brqxton8974Bills just got exposed by the ravens, Chiefs have barely won all their games, Steelers are the Steelers, dolphins suck, Texans are good, and Ravens are inconsistent. Its wide open this year
