Yes, I would. Saved you 11 minutes.
I recorded a lot of new content today, but this one is for all you guys thinking about buying TRK. I've been watching a lot of CRF 250/300 reviews recently and I realized what is important from a potential owner's point of view. I hope my video will help you make the decision.

Trk502x is as you describe, Its good at everything but not excels at anything. Its an allrounder. I have had bikes for 30 years and none of them makes me happy like this one. Just warming the bike in the garage makes me smile.👍

Agree completely. I have a 2021 TRK (non-X). First ride was 25SEP, 2021 and I just turned 8500 miles on it. Not a single problem. You can follow my rides on REVER if you're interested. Even though I have zero off-road training, I have found myself in some unpaved, uncharted areas and the bike didn't disappoint. Even though it has less ground clearance and a 17" front instead of the adventure version, it passed the test and asked for more. Yes, it's a heavy bike. Yes, it's underpowered for it's weight. Yes, it lacks the bells and whistles of the more mainstream rides. BUT... the thing gets 55-62mpg. Has adequate torque to haul my fat ass (6"2", 115kg) and Kriega luggage up and down mountains. It's a blast in the twisties and reasonably comfortable on the main roads. It gets looks since it's definitely not mainstream where I live. I have grip puppies for the bars and better boots completely eliminated vibration in the pegs. I have a memory foam cushion for the seat but I only use it after 100-120 miles of riding. If I had ANY wish at all, it would be for it to be a 650. Then I wouldn't even consider looking at any other rides. I plan on giving this one to my son and probably just buy another. Add a few farkles for the longer trips and keep riding as long as the universe allows. Great Vid! Ride hard/Ride safe

@@alenfora1400 I finished out 2022 with 13,000miles (21,000km) and couldn't pass up a great deal on a Super Ténéré. It's a totally different experience and I miss the TRK. The great news is that Benelli has done a 702 version and I'm hoping we see it in the US before 2024. If so, I'm fist in line! You will be disappointed with the speed if you want 160kmh. That's not what this bike was built to do. I would highway cruise at 100-120kmh but never had the desire or need for more. If I found my self on a highway, some navigational error had occurred since I seek out the twisties and roads-less-traveled. I never rode with a pillion and I suspect it is probably a bit cramped depending on size. Should try that before you buy. Good luck! It's a fantastic bike.

Yes, it is a Chinese bike, like the Honda CB500x is a Thailand bike. Who cares what they are as long as it looks good to you, is reliable, is quality and most importantly fun to ride. I think it’s all those going from the research that I’ve done. To be honest the only thing I know for sure is it looks amazing!

Finally a review that makes sense. Here in India, people compare this to versys 650 and tiger 800 and call it Chinese and the same chuunk of people try off roading on a track bike like Yamaha R15 and try to corner on Grand tourers /ADVs . Also, I would like to mention that if you lose the saddle stays , luggage rack and crash guards (that most manufacturers don't give as standard) it weighs close to 212 kgs wet, which is what a vstrom would weigh.However, people praise the Honda CB500X though it has similar specs on the engine front. The fact is that many manufacturers even the Japanese turn to the Chinese for manufacturing is due to cost and variety in quality. However the R&D is still done in Italy for Benelli and QJ is doing a good job of keeping up with quality. I wish bikers started thing of bikes from a perspective similar to ours. :) really nice set of videos on TRK sir, even i own a TRK 502 ,running a set o scorpion rally by pirelli and i tried the offroad training at a nearby beach, however I came in terms with the bike that it cannot go on deep sand easily and i was hurting the clutch. TRK 502 is good for trail riding and rough roading. Its not an enduro.

Thank you for these kind words Friend. Try riding on that beach a day after it rained. "Moist" sand is more forgiving. TRK it's a heavy bike, but I enjoy it anyway.

Dude i bet the cb500x with new saddle (feels like a rock), crash protection, handle protection, bigger wind screen and racks for luggage (all branded as in the trk) would easily weight 210 kg. Not to mention the necessary modifications to be adequate in off road such as 19 inch steel wheel and rear steel wheel. The cost of that cb500x would easily reach 9k plus and the weight difference unnoticeable.

Emil, definetly you can save some more weight in the bike if you change the oem exhaust. Mine dont have crash bars, i have a Storm exhaust, dont have center stand as well and removed the mudguard on the rear wheel. When original batterie went dead i changed for a Lithium one. I removed 16 kilos, more or less from the bike. I dont do off road. My next move will be, tubless rims (converting). My goal is to achieved more 2 or 3 kg less, overal 195 kg without fuel. I never fill up the gas tank, my maxium is 15L and the bike runs awesome! Cheers and happy riding.

i own a CRF250L and also a TRK, I would not want to bring the TRK on a very soft ground because of the weight. But owning a CRF, you will find out that it also has its limitation, coz it is a dual sports, not not a pure offroad machine. It is capable on crusing on highways at 110kph (not wobbling) with a distance of 1000 Kilometers before you change oil. And yes, it can do a bit of offroad. The thing with CRF is that you need to upgrade the suspensions. I upgraded my rear suspension.
@EmilSbaste
@EmilSbaste 3 года назад
The thing is that I don’t need (at least I think so at the moment) a pure enduro bike. For me an off-road oriented dual sport sounds like a perfect combination. At the moment CRF300 Rally seems like the most reasonable choice, but my heart belongs to T7. Is there anything else worth considering?

@@EmilSbaste i did not drive the Tenere yet so I cannot say anthing. But Tenere and TRK are both heavy for sure, and you will not really enjoy when you keep on going down, pushing and pulling your bike because it is stucked (my opinion). The stock CRF also will not be fun to ride, so I modded my exhaust, sprockets, EJK and tires. To mention my rear shock absorber. After that it is a new bike. But draw back, is you need to spend.

Why would you change an oil in CRF250L every 1000km, while manual recommends changing it every 8000km? CRF L/Rally are not high performance enduro that needs oil change every few hours. This is obviously not true or not needed at least.

@@306Geni coz last time I was supposed to follow service interval but at 1,500Km I heared something ringing near the piston block. I immediately change the oil and the ringing was gone. I do this on my bike coz there are a lot of issues with the CRFs timing chain.

Hi Emil, Nice explanation 👍 What is the size and brand of your handle bar raisers? Is there any collision between handle bar (or handguards) to the windscreen due to the way you installed them? Any problems with the cable´s length? I found, that the foot pegs are a bit too far to the front, what makes the offroad riding when standing a bit uncomfortable. Btw.: I like the way you installed the controll unit of the heated grips 👍👍 Thanks and greeting from Germany😊
@EmilSbaste

Those are “no names” from Aliexpress, I don’t recommend getting those. It’s worth to invest in a proper set. I had not issues with cables/wires, it’s only 28mm. Take those rubbers out from your foot pegs. It’s impossible to ride with those things on. Thanks

Brother you sound like a child that got his toys made fun of! Loved the vid! I am also thinking of buying a new bike but i can't deside. Modifying the cb500x to include everything the benelli has costs at least 3k more and the weight difference is slim. Another option is the versys x300 but on order to include crash protection etc (because its a kawi) will cost much more and is not as comfy and smooth to tour. The only problem i have with the trk is the size and the weight because it will be a handful for commuting. I haven't ridden the bike but i would like to hear youe opinion about commuting on it. I live in an island on Greece and we have a lot of dirt roads that this machine will eat up. I would like to spend my summer touring with my gf do you think the benelli is powerful enough for the both of us?
@EmilSbaste
@EmilSbaste 3 года назад
I don’t use it to commute, but for sure you’d have to replace the factory side guards for something narrower, just to squeeze in between cars. I’d say it’s not perfect for skipping a traffic. Size wise, yes it’s a big one. It takes time to get used to that. Is heavy because it come with all the stuff that you’d need to buy anyway. I removed a couple of things and I think I am going to continue without them. Definitely the bike has potential to be became a dream bike :)

Hello, i'm in process of buying new motorcycle. What would you buy TRK 2020. with Euro 4 or TRK 2021. Euro 5? Difference is in some catalyst modifications, sound is reduced too. I think maybe those changes to meet the Euro 5 standards can be reflected on motorcycle power and engine lifespan :D
@EmilSbaste
@EmilSbaste 3 года назад
I am not up to date with EURO5 regulations, so it’s hard to tell. I am sure that these changes can be undone one way or another. I’d probably buy the new version, as the sound is not a priority for me, actually I wouldn’t mind having quieter exhaust.

Correct, those are two separate categories. I am not trying to compare them, I am saying that at the moment I would but CRF, as it’s more off-road capable. If not the fact I am about to start building a house, I’d have the CRF in my garage already. Still TRK is a great all-arounder.

Why this, not the V-strom 650? I usually ride with the wife + luggage, so this bike's heft to be pushed by a 500cc engine bothers me a bit.
@Davethebluessinger
@Davethebluessinger 3 года назад
I have the 502 Road and I can tell you that if you do regular touring with full luggage and your wife on the back then you will definitely be working the gearbox on the trk 502 a lot more than a bigger capacity bike, that said it will still be ok especially if when you're touring you keep your speeds at a reasonable level. Don't expect to be doing 80 miles an hour all day on a motorway 2 up with luggage. All of that said I agree completely with this review that the bike is extremely good value and anyone who is daft enough to think that this is a Chinese bike needs their head looking at. So, if you look at the difference in specification between this bike and the Honda 500 which is it's main competitor there is no real comparison because this bike has more power - ok it also has more weight but it has twin floating Discs at the front compared to the Honda which has a single disc setup, it has an alloy rack fitted I believe the Honda has not, it has decent crash bars as standard and again the Honda has none, it also has handguards as standard and again the Honda has none. All in all it's the best value adventure style bike on the market and that's why Benelli are selling every single one they can make with no problem at all! My only criticism of this bike and it is not really a criticism because I knew the situation before I bought mine is the facts about it could use another 10 horsepower. If Benelli were to increase the power it would take it out of the A2 class of course so many full licence holders are riding this bike I really do think it would be worth Benelli investigating in flashing the ECU and derestricting the exhaust and airbox for these riders. If that type of modification available then this bike would be an absolute steal and a no-brainer for the majority of riders who just want a good bike to get from A to B whilst looking at the scenery
