His trauma from middle school most likely caused him a pannic attack and flashbacks, and because of bakugo bullying deku it made deku scared of bakugo again and since its also kiri deku might also view kiri as pne of bakugo's buddies that bullied him in middle school too. (most likely/what i think would happen)
