What makes this one so brilliant is that Kevin tells the story so ham-fistedly and makes it sound so ridiculous that he makes what's really not that bizarre of a story sound completely implausible. Also, they never touched on probably the most important part of the story, possibly because they ran out of time (another comment said this actually took 45 minutes to record live and had to be severely cut down)- what did he and his friend do with the horse after they'd bought it?
The best WILTY stories in my opinion is: "Wehn? For 3 weeks, in the mid '90s - Henning Wehn on Would I Lie to You?" "Mick - James Acaster’s archenemy? Lee Mack’s traded toddler? Gabby Logan’s cheated child? | WILTY" "Did Bob Mortimer once set fire to his house with a box of fireworks? - Would I Lie to You? [CC]"
FYI, the guy in the horizontal stripes on Kevin's team is Brian Cox, lead singer from the pop group D-Ream (famous for the song 'Things Can Only Get Better'), whom is now a world-famous Doctor of astro-physics).
As others have mentioned, these WILTY compilations are great... Wonderful reaction, great analysis. 👍 Reactors I've watched just guess randomly, and mostly say 'lie'. 👏 Bob Mortimer is very popular. Maybe react to in compilations because some have spoilers for earlier stories: _Mortimerian Tales - Bob Mortimer on Would I Lie to You? - Part 1_ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1vE8ExuuNZQ.html (50m 37s) _Mortimeriados - Bob Mortimer on Would I Lie to You? Part 2_ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_bWt__tV-Zg.html (24m 12s) after 20m 12s, it's just a compilation of clips of Bob saying the mad names of people and animals from his stories. You could chop your uploads into pieces to improve their chances of getting through. AFAIK, the 'rules' allow 'embellishments', however they must cover whatever is on the card they read out. Best Wishes. ☮ G-Man-😎 People have many 'Would I Lie to You?', aka WILTY?, favourites. You haven't reacted to any David Mitchell. He's the team captain opposing Kevin Bridges' team. He's a comedy sketch writer and actor who wrote for and appeared in several comedy sketch shows. Eventually he and his writing partner got their own series of sketch shows on radio and TV called something like "That Mitchell and Webb sound/look". They've also starred in a very long running 'cult' sitcom called "Peep Show". Lee Mack, Kevin Bridges' team captain is a stand-up and writer and star in his own sitcom called "Not Going Out". He used to be a panelist on _"8 out of 10 cats does countdown",_ he;s now a team captain. I like the episode where David Mitchell's wife, Victoria, is on his panel. She hosts 'Only Connect' (the toughest quiz show on UK TV), is a successful international poker player, appears on Panel shows, writes weekly columns for newspapers, and has done several other things. This are best in this order: _Lee Mack vs The Mitchells - Would I Lie to You?_ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-H-DOpEPkrqg.html (6m 28s) _David Mitchell: Victoria doesn’t know this … - Would I Lie to You?_ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cwmDrQzsFT8.html (4m 20s) Info: Clinton cards is a UK Hallmark cards.
Yaay on watching my favourite WILTY moment. As a fellow pisshead i apologise for not personally recommending it. For more of Kevin check out my favourite part of his stand up, 'sleepover from hell'.
1. Yes, you're doing WILTY. 2. Quoting Kenny Rogers. That's enough for a thumbs up before I even get to the actual reaction... :D Do Mortimerian tales...
Have you guys watched the Bob Mortimer or Greg Davies compilations from this show. They are so funny too! The whole episodes are awesome. I would watch reactions to those. The way the lies work is the show makes up the lie and when they read it, it is the first time they are seeing it, so they must think on the fly to make it believable. If you do it for Xmas you will need another person to make up the lies for you all. Then have someone shuffle your real stories with lies and randomly pick a card to do. 😉
Love your reactions BUT , guys, whether it's true or a lie really doesn't matter, just laugh along at the craziness of the stories being told. 😁 p.s Still waiting to watch along next episode of "Black Books" with you two. 🥰
the fact that he got it at all is probably the strongest piece of evidence he's telling the truth. 99% of the british public would not know what the currency of bulgaria was. Now of course the card didn't say anything about bulgaria so he could have just been mixing a real trip he'd been on to bulgaria in with the horse story but the fact that he didn't instantly recall that isn't really evidence of anything imo, more likely a fake-out given that he actually got the name of it in the end.
that was the moment I was almost certain it was true. he was relieved when he remembered the name of it. if that was a deliberate lie he should have received a wilty trophy for it
Hay Brad, it's filly to nag or spur you and your bridle Lucy about people's manes getting strapped from your mind!! Don't feel behooved, my chaps... You'll just get more saddle about it, get bags under your eyes as you mule it over, then you'll trail off with a long face. Ticket from me, I've manured myself out of worse. Keep riding crop through, and I'll bet you'll track round in place without feeling like a damned foal. 😁😉 (Btw anyone who neighs it is foal of horsesh¡t)
