Would Steph & Warriors trade Durant rings for a 73-9 championship in 2016? | The Draymond Green Show 

as a warriors fan, I still can't watch the 2016 finals. that championship would've put steph and them in a different stratosphere. 2017 and 2018 were great but back to back championships, a 73-9 perfect season, winning against lebron the first year and a fully healthy Cavs team the second year? would've been one of the most remarkable runs in NBA history. Curry would be solidified as a top 10 player of all time without question (still might get there). I mean back to back MVPs, the second one unanimous, back to back chips and a finals MVP if he had performed better after game 4. hurts to even think about. steph said no because he's one of those guys who has no regrets and believes that things happen for a reason, but man, I think everyone in the warriors organization knows that 2016 chip would've been something else

As a GSW fan, yes I would trade both 17/18 rings for the 16 championship. Back to back without KD would be more legitimate and respected.

Warriors really blew it, but watching them lose was one of my favorite sports moments of all time. I hated the Warriors, but now I respect them. Same with KD haha

the sad thing about the 16 finals wasnt the 3-1 for me,you can say it was partly the nbas decision to suspend draymond plus the referees in game 6,but the most sad thing for me was the fact they took stephs chance to be surely considered mount rushmore instead of discussing his place,also we never had one full finals where both teams were not compromised by injury and 2017 was suppose to be the deciding 3rd matchup,curry thompson green vs bron ky and love,steph lost 3 years of his prime which would result in less titles but more individual accolades...on the flip side we got to witness one of the greatest teams assembled rivaling the 80s lakers/celtics ,the 90s bulls or the 00s kobe shaq lakers,its like art,you wont realize it until the artist is gone and we were lucky to witness the change live

They were able to win 3games against a healthy Cleaveland (While suffering from injuries & suspensions) Even without the finals win, they did that

In terms of how most people would view the warriors as a "dynasty" that one 73 ring would probably be worth more than two KD rings bc people just kinda expected the warriors to win both those years they were too good I think its fair to argue that 2 rings even with the 2nd best team in nba history is still a great achievement and should be respected KD struggled away from that warriors team and they won without him that has to mean something when u look back at that team

Steph (or anyone in their sane mind and wanting to keep good relationships) would never say "yes" to a question like, even if it was the truth. Durant (petty as he is, by the way) would be hurt by the response. But 2016 was SOOOO important to them, is clear by Steph's reaction, that you would understand if he say "yes" even if it's an unresonable response. And realistically speaking if they won it all like that in 16 they would be a terrifying force to the league, and unless some tragedy happens, it would possibly mean a dynasty underway anyway (INSANE how that team and Prime Curry were strong, or you could say that because the league hadn't adapted yet).

The truth is while yes is the answer it would be just as sad for the game to have not seen Lebron carry a team like that in 2016. They can’t all be winners that year and the sport is better for the way it went down.

A 2017 playoff run of 16-1 is much more meaningful than a 73-9 season with no ring to show for it. In my eyes, the 2017 and 2018 rings show just how dominant they were. Not a single team in the history of the nba would be able to stop these warrior teams.

Steph definitely would trade that for those two rings all day. They never needed KD and this year solidified that. That finals is the biggest knock on Steph and the warriors.

The answer is yes. They would definitely trade the Durant rings to get the 2015-16 championship. Those 2 Durant Championships is respected by nobody in the league, it's not a fair right.

I would rather have 2016 because they would have been labeled the greatest team ever. It don’t matter without the ring and they had 3 opportunities to win. Twice on their home floor. A 70 win team hasn’t happen since the bulls. KD still would have joined and that year would have giving them a 3 peat.

People forget Steph was hurt and out of competition for 2.5 weeks of that playoff run. He wasn’t 100% for the finals. Then, of course, Draymond had too many technical fouls for KICKING GUYS IN THE BALLS…and literally was suspended for game 5, when we had a 3-1 lead.
