About 2 months after that plain went missing, my dad went to Maylasia for a church trip. I was slightly terrified but tracked all his flights DILIGENTLY. He made it back in one piece, thank you Lord! That footage is crazy 🤯🤯
I appreciate that Blurry Creatures takes hard evidence into consideration and is willing to label some phenomena as crazy, but others as having credibility. They avoid the all or nothing logical fallacy. I’m not all-in on conspiracies, but I have no problem believing that the supernatural is involved in far more than our Western, 21st century society is comfortable with. Dr. Michael Heiser was a frequent interviewee on the pod, and until his recent passing, was one of the world experts on biblical cultures/languages, and was a professor for Logos Bible Software. If Jordan actually considered a crossover pod episode with Blurry Creatures, I think there could be some cool synergy for the skeptical, critical thinkers!
Jordan... Do you have a bird clock? During the tattoo segment there's a background sound that sounds EXACTLY like the specific chirp that's on my parents' bird clock... Either that or you really have that bird and the clock I grew up with had a very impressive recording.
I miss Christian Meme review! I know you have a separate video for that, but that's simply not enough laughter in my life! But, I love the pod regardless :) :)
I paused this podcast to listen to the blurry creatures episode and wow🤯. I listened to the follow up episode as well. So crazy! I looked up the documentary Josh recommended but didn't watch (too dark for me) and my guess is he was on drugs.💔
Apparently I missed an episode of the podcast... Jordan's baby is now here, and it's almost time for blimey-con to start! The Chris Watts case is crazy, and so sad. I still haven't watched the Netflix documentary. Maybe that's what I'll watch this evening
LOL "don't come expecting to meet your spouse, but don't be surprised..." This summer marks 4 years with my husband, who I met IRL for the first time at BlimeyCon :)
Wasn't that plane found in Ukraine a few years ago, shot down by Russia years ago when it happened? It is really awesome that so many people got married through BlimeyCon and the channel in general. I love seeing some of the couples' posts on their social media accounts. It is crazy how fast pregnancy goes unless you are the one pregnant. I gave birth a year ago come Sunday and I was like, "WHAT???? That pregnancy was so long but he's already going to be one??" Then I remember I have a 17-year-old and 15-year-old, that I've been married 20 years this month, and I feel really sentimental about how fast it went by. You'll see!!!! AHHH! Wow. I don't like the idea of lymphoma chances going up. . .granted I think I am done with tattoos. I watch true crime stories here and there.
Jordan, I have always had a feeling we’re about the same age. And now I discover we are 15 days apart! Theory confirmed. My birthdate is Sept. 15, 1991. And you share a birthday with my 8 month old, her birthday is also Sept 30.
Blurry creatures is good but there is another podcast that is same idea as blurry creatures and is Christain that you would really like too, they do more story telling with sound effects and stuff it's really cool.
Jordan, if you like the Blurry Creatures podcast, you would probably eat up the Discovering Truth podcast. Dan Duval, the host, was on Blurry Creatures once, and I'm a member of his church here in Katy, TX. It will give you conspiracy theories for days, as the saying goes.
FYI on oil pulling: You should NOT oil pull if you have any fillings with mercury. 😬 It may pull more toxins out to be leeched into your body. But you should also have any mercury fillings removed safely if at all possible. It will improve your health. 💜
No to tattoos - ever. I have a personal biblical conviction against voluntary tattoos. If you’re looking for more segment ideas, I think you should have a segment featuring your favorite comments from the previous episode. You used to do this with the question of the week in its earliest iterations… before the questions became unrealistic and/or oddly specific, lol. (Ummm…. I’m not choosing 100 push-ups OR 100 pull-ups. Or eating only eggs for the rest of my life or only bread or whatever ridiculous scenario was presented. 🤪) But I think reading comments would encourage interaction and also bring people back next week (or beyond) because they would be listening for their comment to be read… and of course possibly roasted. Just a thought. 🙂
32:00 "There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations - these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub and exploit - immortal horrors or everlasting splendors." C. S Lewis. A quote i would like to have hanging above my workspace
My brain when there talking about the Malaysian plane This crazy but let’s see where it’s going 🤔 There’s no way🤨 Wait there wher scientist on the plane 😳 Questioning everything I believe in the world 😱 Brain dead 🤯
What if those 20 people on that plane were blipped to CERN and hidden away. If superconductivity is the key, CERN could home base on this planet for something like that.
God said to not get tattoos in his word. Pretty simple, do what God said to do and dont get tattoos. There are those people however who think they are smarter than God and will do as these please.
@@QKueen625 I'm not taking anything out of context. Verse 1 of chapter 19 God says to Moses, "speak to the children of Israel and tell them...." All those who follow Christ are children of Israel according to Romans 11, Hebrews 8 and Ephesians 2. Therefore the instruction to not tattoo your body applies to those who follow Christ. If I follow your line of thinking, and I continue into the very next verse, could I then argue that it's ok to prostitute my daughter? Or can I apply that same logic to verse 4 and say it's ok to make idols and follow them? Or how about verse 11, could I then say it's ok to steal or how about verse 18 which Jesus literally said is the second greatest commandment of them all? You seem to dismiss the book of Leviticus as a whole and Jesus says it's at the top of the list. I'm gonna go with Jesus on this one. John 14:15 If you love me, obey my commandments. Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 NKJV [13] Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all. [14] For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil.
@@QKueen625 I'm not taking anything out of context. The very first verse of the chapter says God spoke to Moses and said "Speak to the children of Israel and tell them....". According to Romans 11 Hebrews 8 and Ephesians 2 we the followers of Christ are Israel, therefore the instructions to Israel are instructions for us. If you follow your line of thinking you can look at verse 4 and say it's okay to make idols and worship them. You can look at verse 11 and say it's okay to steal and deal falsely with others. You could look at verse 15 say it's okay to judge unjustly. Jesus said that verse 18 of this chapter is the second greatest commandment of all but your line of thinking has us throwing out the entire chapter for "historical implication". For that matter do you think it's ok for someone to prostitute their daughter? That's forbidden in the verse right after the one about tattoos.
@@hannahlara1752 in most versions it says Do not cut your body unto the dead. Do not mark your body. In the original Hebrew text, the unto the dead is not a part of the context of marking your body. In Hebrew its read as 2 different commands. 1. Do not cut your body unto the dead. 2. Do not mark your body.
I’m not sure these guys are making the grocery store a better place. I’ve heard them talk about judging people in the store multiple times. They seem to be suffering from a superiority complex.
