My mom works for tractor supply and has had multiple Horses, Donkeys, and a one point, a mini cow come into the store! She legit had to show the owners walking the Horse/Horses where tack and care stuff was and she has pictures of said horses and their both really pretty. One was a dapple grey and the other a blood bay/dark chestnut with white socks.
@@BriDABanana i think they mean they would rather have them try it there rather than someone buying something then seeing it doesnt fit so they have to return it (im kinda bad at explaining things)
Yeah that's what I was thinking too. I said that I'd totally put my horse in the trailer to drive to the shop. I wouldn't bring my horse IN the shop though out of respect for the cleanliness etc of the shop but I see no reason as to why I couldn't bring my horse and put saddles on him to find the perfect fit outside. That's better than driving back and forth plus the store owners can see what has been done with the saddles. You never know how people treat a new saddle and then return it. Blessings, love, light and poditive vibes from the Netherlands 🙏💚🌷🇳🇱
It was a quick skit and I’m pretty sure that horse is well groomed or else that horse would be so dirty. Also she most likely knows how to tack up and ride even if it doesn’t look like it from this video.
20 yrs ago when I was a teen. When I was doing my own research about horses/their care. I was told that if ur a brand new horse owner and aren't sure what size ur horse needs, you should bring the horse with, because In an actual tack shop they should be able to help you, or give u an idea of what you need/ or who you need to call if their unable to help.
It would be alot more convenient to try the saddle this way, instead of ordering it, having it shipped, and after all the anticipation find out it doesn't fit. Then you have to get a hold of the place you ordered it from, get a shipping label or not. Then package it all up, get into your car drive to the Post office, stand in line then send it back. Then start all over!😅
Yeah, with my old pony from my teenage times. When I was out riding, I had to ride by our house (the middle of a row of 3) and when I was needing to go on the toilet or was hungry/thirsty, I took him down the small walking path with some steps, opened the door and just took him inside. My parents were out for work during the time and did never notice, that he spent hours in our living room with me during thunderstorms or if it was too hot or just for fun 🙈😂😂😂. Our neighbors never told on me IF they ever saw us at all.
When I first bought my horse we brought her down and stopped at a tack shop on the way to try saddles on her in the horse lorry lucky enough they let us do it with a member of staff watching us 😂
Horsey was in the fishing aisle yelling mom can we get a fishing pole and go fishing pleeeease. Edit: it wasn't the fishing aisle, but I bet he was thinking I would rather be fishing
I have a husky who is a task-trained service dog. When I take her in, we avoid the pet aisle, because I assure you, trained or not, she'd be having a field day! She has a happy tail that knocks stuff off shelves so we also avoid glassware (as I'm not going to discourage her from showing she's happy).
Any decent tack shop that sells saddles should allow you to take the saddle for 3 days to see if it will fit or have an associate go out with you and put the saddle on your horse with some sort if protective barrier between the two to see if it will fit
@@maya_eqqq it should not make contact at either your contact should floweben down you back and knees if you have pockets you will wear on yourpunt uneven an make sor back four fingers in canell and it should breath down Michelle of back like a chanel for air if your horse can feel afly it will feel I pinch ale sure all is blanketed for optimum performance
Never ever settle for a saddle that doesn't fit your horse. So many compliments and pain on the horses is guaranteed. I know it is a funny skit, but I thought I'd just say that.
I was deathly afraid of horses after a childhood incident until horse side of RU-vid started slowly seeping in, now i find them very interesting and cute looking :) i really appreciate all that horses have gone through to be here with us today
When my husband with the Hashknife Pony Express in Arizona he and another guy RODE their horses into a store, a bank and a bar in Scottsdale back in the 90's. 😂🎉🐎
Everyone should do this with their horse. A saddle is like a pair of shoes. You don't buy them without trying them on. Neither should you buy the saddle without trying it on.
But plonking it on like that isn't really trying it on. She's not girthed it up, sat on it, checked for excessive movement, pinching or anything. What she has done has no advantage over measuring the horse and ordering a saddle. She's still largely guessing.
