We have a spicy question for ATEEZ, the spicy performance group🔥😝 Please look forward to ATEEZ's revealing battle and SUNMI's brother-sister chemistry💗💨 #sunmi #showterview #ATEEZ
We saw during I’m the One era when he was on hiatus that truly OT8 are something special. I think the time away was really great for him because he seems happier and more confident recently
I love San for this 14:32 not a single member could be replaced and it's true. While Mingi took a break I missed him so much and didn't even realize how much I missed him until he came back. He's precious and 100 percent irreplaceable
ikr! usually idk if its coincidental or what but the first member that catches my eye in a group turns out to be my bias and they also happen to a rapper for some reason. with ateez it was mingi. but i was trying so hard to deny that because i wanted so diversity in my bias list. i was going back and forth between all the members but it just didnt feel right and it was driving me crazy. then mingi went on a hiatus and omg thats when i realized, damn! i miss him so much. and when he came back, i fell for him once again and this time couldn't deny it. so yeah it is true that you dont pick a bias, your bias picks you.
@@ojealism you know what's crazy.... that is almost exactly what happened to me. I still remember watching their Pirate King live stage and constantly replaying Mingi's part and asking the comments who that gorgeous, deep voiced man was. Ateez was the hardest group to choose a bias for and I settled on one but same when he left I was absolutely distraught. And when he came back I was hit even more by how much I had actually missed him. I was still denying it but with this cb I can't ignore the fact that I adore this man 😄 very very true and wise statement from you. I tried to choose a bias but no my bias said lookie here it's me
15:21 The whole 'Who?' 'You' 'Me?' cracked me up but the following part that HJ said almost teared me up, these both really share the most sibling-esque relationship imo 🥺 knowing each other too well and not being able to stay mad at them for longer than an hour at most
I think that the style of Jessi was introducing the guests to a non fan based audience (I read so many ppl became fans of ateez and txt after their interviews), while Sunmi let you experience a more insightful side of the guests. I really enjoyed both and I’m happy to see more women as the main host of a show, because there aren’t that many in korean variety shows
I totally agree with this because i actually got interested in ateez after a saw a clip of them with jessi on Instagram, saw the whole episode (twice), and I'm an atiny now It was shocking to me when i heard about the show ending, and then going in this direction. I was sad ngl, but not gonna hate sunmi for this, she's great...all this was just shocking for me
it sucks that a women had to replace another women. not really making a difference 🤦♀️ they should have more female ine the industry by being in different shows or having two female host.
loveee wooyoung and sunmi's chemistry their banters and the way they interact with each other also the slight touches and how he was so gentle yet so cheeky with her thats so cute
That's what I love about ATEEZ though -- they are so unbelievably top-class in looks, powerful bodies, incredible talent in dance, vocal and rap, and also really intelligent and well-spoken young men. In short, they are the ideal "hot young men" in every way, and yet they don't ever have dating scandals or mess around in any other sordid affairs. And that's because they *are* so serious about their art and the epic story they are going all-in with, which no other kpop group has ever attempted like this. The old guard will call it cringy because they didn't do it themselves, but the future generations will call them the founders/originators of all the things that will make up the future of kpop for generations.
jessi made everyone laugh, but sunmi laughs at everything and its hard not to laugh with her :) i just wish they could have kept jessi on as host and given sunmi her own show.
the point is that jessi went on a break and they clearly wanted to keep the show going, look at the views of the other shows on this channel and you’ll understand why theh didn’t give her a new show.
on the bright side🙈......I'm glad its Sunmi💝. Both her and Jessi respectively are very cool unnies🥰🌺 Edit: I added emoji to make it cute since I forgot it in the first place. Hope ya'll don't mind🤗
@@rizkyramadhanhasibuan6454 the show has nothing to do with her leaving Pnation. She isn’t resting though, she has an upcoming tour in Europe, shows in Manila, Jakarta and Korea.
Seriously i love san for speaking out...no one can replace Mingi... remember when they were in Kingdom and during other promos of Bulnoriya it was hard for hj as well to cover both his and mingi's part seonghwa took some rapping parts too for other songs to be performed on stages...they all had to give even more as a group so they wouldn't feel they r not missing smth but seriously no one like mingi! He's unique ! I love you mingi
yesss im surprised not many people are talking about that in the comments. i fell in love with san once again after watching that. he's such a warm hearted baby i love him so much.
@@ubu8 i'm talking about her comment about mingi's honesty what's to love and you can see it's a mingi moment but they're making san out to be the main character she doesn't make sense at all she just wanted to write a sentence about san but had to include mingi
sunmi is doing well, every showterview is unique because of the host charm and personality, so it’s just a matter of preference at the end. I’m happy to see more women hosting variety shows, considering the lack of them on korean tv shows, instead of bringing them down with bitter comments, do better lol it’s sad
I feel like this isn't women's empowerment at all though. Removing the frontwoman of a groundbreaking Korean variety show and replacing her with another women is not helping women in the industry. I don't understand why they couldn't have given Sunmi her own show that would better compliment her unique personality and style instead of pinning her face on a show that is so clearly Jessi's. I would have preferred that, even if Showterview had to end.
@@bbiyao I was referring solely to the bitterness of some comments. Hating on sunmi or jessi isn’t the solution, and some of these comments are going too far. Also the reason imo was because showterview is their only successful format (they tried many shows throughout the years, with famous host as well, but nothing in terms of views came close).
Mingi has one of the most distinctive voices I've heard in Kpop, he's actually the reason I got into ATEEZ despite not being a Kpop fan: he immediately caught my attention and I couldn't stop replaying his parts. And once I saw him perform on stage, I was sold. Everyone else is great, of course, but I believe that Mingi's voice and moves built a huge part of the fandom in ATEEZ's earlier days. When the others were still finding themselves, the rap line of Mingi and Hongjoong kind of led the group and their parts were very prominent in their earlier songs. Let's not forget that Mingi is one of the main dancers and he taught San how to dance. And he's also a musical genius and on the list of top copyrighted idols (with HJ) for the amount of songs he wrote (pretty much all of ATEEZ's songs). Back in his trainee days, he would sometimes forget the lyrics he wrote, but still ace his monthly evaluations because his freestyle is that good. He wrote his rap for Answer in a hotel room the day before they recorded it. He's also incredibly fast at learning choreographies, acing them in a matter of hours. And the others said he's the one most likely to win a dance competition. If you've seen him on stage, you know that his freestyle is insane and he can also breakdance. It's very hard to watch him belittle himself. In a recent (Bouncy era) radio interview, he was asked what he ranks himself #1 for in ATEEZ, and he answered "nothing" (meanwhile Yunho said Mingi is #1 for stage charisma). Yunho, Hongjoong and Seonghwa (the only members present that day) protested immediately. Yunho looked genuinely distressed, even offended that Mingi thought such a thing. To hype him up, Hongjoong asked Mingi what he's really good at in his opinion... but it backfired when Mingi remained silent because he couldn't think of anything. The others intervened with their own suggestions and even involved the fans. In the end Mingi said he's perhaps #1 when it comes to being in the fans' heart. Which is cute... but not really what the question was about; he was supposed to talk about his talent, performance, etc... The 8 month hiatus was absolutely necessary for his health, but I'm afraid it cemented in him the idea that he's not necessary to the group. But the truth is that the group struggled a lot without him, kept talking about him and tried to involve him any way they could (calling him and putting him on speakerphone at events, holding up his picture or cardboard cutouts of him in videos, Yeosang hugging the air in Mingi's place in pics, Yunho doing the Ateez salute with both feet to represent Mingi, saying his name during songs, etc.). They missed him A LOT, but it's like Mingi can't believe or accept it. The others say that Mingi is constantly taking care of people when cameras aren't around, bringing them food, comforting them, even speaking with a softer tone of voice to make himself less intimidating. He's always doing his best for other people, but believes it's not enough. He truly deserves the world 😢
Ok I LOVE Sunmi's chemistry especially with Wooyong!! I did not expect this at all but it was very fun to watch and I think 'teez had fun as well! Thank you Showterview💕
Everyone thinks she is this aloof untouchable legend of Kpop, but SUNMI is proper older sister energy. She has many adopted siblings in Kpop and her energy is always humble, playful and very protective. Everyone becomes at ease around her after 5 minutes.
I never thought their concept is cringy even once, whoever making their concept as a pirates and parallel universe with cromer is a genius, and calling hongjoong a captain instead of leader is absolutely genius too, it makes them different from the other group, I proud of them and all of their staff they can't be replaced by other edit: whoaaa I don't know why this comment kinda blow up(?) and please ignore my broken english 😂 in conclusion we love ATEEZ and always proud of them 💕💕
Tbh, not making this a big deal, but it made me a bit sad and disappointed that some of them found it cringy :( I mean I understand like the pirate thing at least that they could think is childish and wathever(it actually is childlike keeping your inner child alive type, plus beautiful meanings of finding freedom tho). But I hope it was only that part not the rest of their concept and storyline, and more of the past like Woo hinted I think🥺
I mean, they're so cool but I've performed at ballet recitals and even if everyone tells you it's beautiful, at some point everyone feels cringy because it's having an role that you have to fill and then you have to show up with it everywhere and let it take over part of your identity even if it's for a while, specially when is something so fantastical. Either at the beginning or after a while, you feel embarrassed, but don't see it as something bad or sad, it's just something that happens. If you see their dance practices or how they have fun with their respective roles, you'll realize how they enjoy being cool interdimensional pirates and have grown secure in their identity as a group, is actually funny, really, imagine being this amazing performer, being famous around the world, fulfilling your dreams and then "what are you doing" and having to respond "I'm a pirate and a troubled teen and a criminal-"
I’m so happy to see ateez’s communication skills improve and be more comfortable during these latest interviews. Hongjoong specifically became more confident and I couldn’t be happier.
Mingi is unique, he is part of ATEEZ if he would not be ATEEZ, HIS VOICE IS UNIQUE AND THAT IS WHY I LIKE HIS SONGS SO MUCH, THANKS TO SAN WHO TOLD HIM THAT WITHOUT HIM HE WOULD NOT BE ATEEZ!!! ❤️❤️❤️🇲🇽
I love how mingi was always the first one to lift up his placard.. he was clearly very honest with his answers, without even for second trying to be diplomatic
He gets a lot of flak for being very honest in these types of interviews (and in general too) but it's so refreshing to see an idol who is brutally honest, even if it's to his demise sometimes xD He's an honest soul, and you can tell that he wants to be treated with that same honesty too.
@@AnonyTests right! While everyone was busy being like the question is a bit too much to ask, mingi already had his placard up with the answer. And like it's absolutely normal to feel that way, but all the other members were hesitant because they were worried it would reveal a side of them that they didn't really want to reveal yk... so much respect for mingi
i really liked this interview, atz are relaxed, the questions are different, and i liked that they could actually express their opinions on things like their concept and stuff. i liked that they were honest with their answers, i hope atz will come back for another interview!!
this was one of my favorite Ateez's interview. I just couldn't stop laughing, and they all seemed so genuine. Even the questions were completely different from what we're used to have.
24:55 - the boys are like kinda shocked to see Yeosang's reaction when Sunmi went to him first.. Then Seonghwa and Jongho took the chance to shake hands with her.. Wooyoung bickering Sunmi.. and finally went to Mingi 🤣
Honestly, I love that they call it a Cromer because Chronos means time. It's a very clever play on words. Anyway, I always love the interviews here. 😂❤😊
Sunmi has her own charms and it makes the show different but interesting ♡ And she looks very comfortable chatting with ATEEZ. It makes me happy to see her interactions with them. Thank you for inviting ATEEZ!
ateez seem really seemed to enjoy their time around sunmi and im so glad she was laughing a lot and making them feel comfortable. she's very humble despite her experience and popularity in the industry.
I like this episode more than before (but I still love their past interview too tho) cuz it's really focusing on ateez more and really asking the spicy question that never been asked before and dive into topic that a little controversial. We even get their universe explanation from hongjoong himself that me as an atiny for 3 years never understand their universe and storyline 😭 thanks for queen sunmi for invited ateez in this show
Omg I really enjoyed this ofc I enjoy anything ATEEZ but Sunmi did an amazing job with the interview!! I could tell ATEEZ felt so comfortable and enjoyed this :)
I actually like sunmi's showterview. It's a lot different. She makes more of an attempt to draw the focus to the guests rather than making the entire show around her personality. It's a different approach and it's nice too. I know many people miss Jessi, I miss her too and wish she was still the showterview host, but leaving comments saying you prefer her and saying mean comments about sunmi's hosting style can't change anything. The showterview host before Jessi had their own charm, Jessi had her own charm and now Sunmi is showing us her charms as a host too. You might have a preference and that's perfectly fine. If you are unsatisfied with sunmi, to the extent of not even giving her a chance, it is the best to just distance yourself from the show altogether. If you aren't enjoying a piece of entertainment, why bother watching it in the first place? Doesn't it defeat the goal of wanting to be entertained?
That's actually such a great way to put it, and I completely agree. Each host brings their own charm and personality to the show and I think its important that we appreciate the variety that offers.
@@celeste4164 you are free to. I prefer her in that aspect too, but saying it in the comments section of a video sunmi is hosting is disrespectful. She wasn't the one that made Jessi leave her show. I can't imagine hosting a show or trying to show my variety skills and someone is constantly pointing out how they think my skills are mediocre and lacking and comparing me to someone else. As an atiny, I watched the two interviews and they both have their own individual appeals that are unique to them. I just wish people would stop commenting it. Jessi even said that showterview isn't her show anymore and that people should stop bringing it up, so why do people still feel the need to comment how they feel sunmi isn't a good host? I'm not saying you are saying she isn't lol. I'm not attacking you. I'm just sort of using the opportunity of replying to you to vent my frustration. You didn't do anything wrong.
I agree, it’s a matter of preference at the end, it’s also sad to see this situation because there aren’t many women hosting shows, especially in the korean entertainment, I’m sure the comments will eventually stop. It’s undeniable that Jessi did an amazing job and Sunmi is doing well too!
@@iexist8099 the thing is the comments are not from jebbies. its from atinys who prefered jessi's more and if they keep inviting the already invited ones, their fans would naturally bring up jessi if they prefer hers..
I can't believe I took 2hrs to watch a 30 mins show!! The amount of times I replayed several moments to see everyone's reaction and response 🤦♀️😂 This is my record 😌 I left so many comments with time stamps 🤌✨ This was surprisingly a good show 👏👏 the bond that got created between those two artists that quickly especially with Wooyoung! I have never seen Yunho, Yeosang and Jongho speak that much in someone else's show! Also, Sunmi is a good observant! The way she accurately understood the members nature especially when she said "Jongho is lowkey hilarious".. girl is 👌👌 I thoroughly enjoyed it!! ✨✨
Welcome to kpop variety shows 😂 It’s actually silly of me but I’ve watched a lot of variety shows because of idols alone even when there isn’t any english subtitles provided. I love entertainment shows more than music shows because I love observing people’s character and tendencies, they give me energy to get through the day 🥰😂
Honestly the members loookkk reallyyy comfortable.. Sunmi is really having real sister vibe... Every mc had their own charms.. Waiting for more sunmi mcing....
I need to see Ateez in more shows like this! I keep on returning to this one because they look like they're really having fun here. Sunmi is a really cool noona to them.
casual viewer passing through why does wooyoung have such an attractive aura 😳 (also lmfao that he felt his heart flutter at someone talking down to him.. me)
Looking at both ateez interviews,I love sunmi's spin on the show, the flow of the show is way more natural than jessi's.I like jessi's open mindedness in the industry but most of the time idols cannot keep up with her, plus she tries to overreact a lot to be funny and unless it's edited to be funny,it came out more as awkward during the show.Sunmi's version is more calm but entertaining at the same time and you actually get to hear more conversations than just having a show that's all over the place.
@@getthefoff8835 I guess it depends on how people see it and like it but for me it felt a bit overreactive. Also this season I feel like they are not specifically editing it to be funnier or make it less awkward. But hey just my opinion,I enjoyed jessi's season too but for me I like a bit more calmer version😊.
@@Arizz55 nah they were using sound effects like laughing tracks and fake claps in the previous episodes😭😭 and sunmi and ateez did good with this episode so they didn't use for this one
You know you don't need to bring down Jessi just to praise Sunmi like they're both amazing at what they're doing you can have preferences ofc but you don't need to pit one against the other
@@getthefoff8835 I did watch all of sunmi's new episodes but maybe I didn't notice it that much then, but compared to jessi's episodes (cuz I watch all of them too and I am a fan of hers too),I feel like sunmi has a much more natural approach which imo suits the show.
It's really warm my heart to see how SUNMI looks naturally happy and have fun in this episode just like when she's with her real siblings. Among Miyane it's already known that SUNMI is a great sister to two younger brothers (she raised them very well). This part at 20:52 is exactly her natural reaction towards her own siblings. It seems that SUNMI has adopted another adorable younger brothers besides her 'urie BamBamie' 😁. This interaction is really awesome that I watched it many times. At the same time it also makes me missing SUNMI's contents with her brothers, that I rewatched all her SUNMI''s RReal World and SUNMI's Rec_Code series with her brothers. There were so many adorable moments for me in this episode. But the most precious one is when Wooyoung and San told SUNMI 'We're KKanbu' and then Yonho, Hongjoong and Mingi said to put SUNMI's picture on the wall beside their pictures. Looking forward to another awesome interaction of SUNMI X Ateez. Hope in the near future, SUNMI can appear in Wooyoung cooking program, it would be very fun and chaotic.
shows change hosts all the time. jessi did not develop or produce this show. she was a HOST. yes she was successful and helped the show gain recognition, but the producers have every right to bring on different hosts if they choose to. at the end of the day, comments critical of sunmi achieve nothing. she's still the host. either support her or leave her alone
yes show changes their host but not give any idea about it is such a dicc thing to do.jessi made the show what it is today so not informing her is 🤢.she went for a health break!!! so the least they could do is give her slight idea about the replacement. its crazy how some of y'all are acting like its okay
tbh if something like this had happened to the host of any other successful show, the comment section would be like this or worse (it happened sometimes ex: running man, and the level of hate was way way worse), also yes she didn’t develop the format or the show, but the channel was about to shut down and if the show wasn’t successful, that would have been the pd last work on this channel (he said it himself on an interview), so she did a really good job, it’s not fair to undermine her work. No one said that the producers did something they couldn’t do. Anyway some comments are going to far and I hope they’ll stop asap.
I'm honestly so glad ATEEZ came on this show primarily because Hongjoong explaining to Sumni how the ATEEZ universe works is something I really needed too. Like ATEEZ aren't just creating good music, they also writing a whole story.
it really is a movie! Like each mv feels like a movie or an episode from a tv show and its just so nice! It makes me want to go and watch their mvs more and more
I appreciated Sannie and Seonghwa's earnest, gentle-hearted answers -- ATEEZ really are a bunch of sweethearts who overflow with kindness and sincerity. If all those big agencies are scratching their heads wondering why ATEEZ has jumped over their own groups' heads to hit so big globally, it's because of that: their sincerity, kindness and clear/unashamed devotion to their art -- the things that transcend all language. The idols who have those "too cool for school" attitudes will just have to stay cool in their small bubble of SK.
As an infant atiny, this was the perfect video to learn the universe concept of Ateez!! Its seems reaally complicated, but through captain's summarized explanation, i now understand the overview. And one of my lingering unspoken questions have been answered (Why is Hongjoong called captain instead of leader). Being called captain in a group is cool! It makes the group unique 🧡 Thank you for having them on this show! Seeing both Sunmi and Ateez be comfortable w each other made the show suuuper fun to watch.
