This video depicts a great solution for lightweight portable antenna deployment.
This is a full kit with all components and a robust case produced by Kanga products in the UK. It costs less than £30.
The components are of good quality and the build instructions are excellent.
It will take you a morning (or an afternoon) to build.

I have no association with this company, I just like to promote small independent companies in the Ham Radio sector when I am convinced they offer quality products.
It's a fully adjustable End Fed Half Wave Tuner for the 40m through 15m bands.
It will handle 10 watts when correctly adjusted and has a built in SWR bridge with an LED indicator that will 'dim' as the antenna is tuned to resonance.
The trick is to tune for 'minimum brightness' of the LED.
The video, recorded in real time is circa 3 hours long! However to preserve your sanity, certain sections have been speeded up by 20x so it can all be viewed in circa 20mins.
The tuner will work with any QRP transceiver capable of producing between circa 0.5-watt to a maximum of 10-watts RF power.
The video contains lots of tips and tricks for successfully building your own kits, so do watch the 'normal speed' sections :-)
