My zero play bit holder is a wiha centrofix. German and swiss power blade bits are machined down to round shanks, while these bits were left as the hex bar stock they were made from. The bit carriage inside, is that 3D printed? That's not acceptable in the final product.
nope bulky and slick handle, what's the material anyway? the bits (which look like nothing special) are long but with full thickness hex shaft almost to the tip, so those will have to be replaced anyway - no disassembly work done with those bit holder apparently is held in by a magnet? that's not positive enough retention I don't get the pen, I guess it's a curiosity the chuck does seem nice, though the collet is pretty huge you'd think a ratchet mechanism would fit in that big of a tool overall, a boys' toy for those who collect more than they use tools
"The Free Spinning knob is not only functional but absolutely mesmerizing" - nah, the runout from it spinning honestly killed me. if it actually span without wobbling like a jelly, I'd be a bit more sold on it being a 'quality heritage tool' but the lack of attention on that detail - then outright calling it out as such a well made part of it... :/
at first i thought it had some sort of integrated torque multiplying ratchet mechanism... THAT would be worth 100 bucks... this? maybe 50 bucks w/ a leather holster.
This looks like a true heritage tool. Modern technology and usability paired with high quality materials. A diamond in the rough of the modern age of disposable tools.
Looks slippery? Pen is kinda dumb way too short. The Retention mechanism looks really good tho Ball bearing top I like. How heavy? Looks like a chonker
