It may be June, but it didn't feel like it when the athletes took to the track on Thursday for first practice. Incessant rain saw the track sodden through in parts, it became a battle to stay on the bike for many, with most athletes ending up at the bottom of the course covered head to toes in slick wet mud.
It was like being at another event altogether on race day, with Leogang and the course basking under the sun. The course did dry out on the top, and delivered a race that will be remembered as one of the toughest and muddiest ever!

These recap videos w/ Lauren and Eliot are always really well done. It must take a ton of work to put them together (planning, filming, writing, editing). If this isn't around next year because Discovery is taking over that will be a huge loss. Eliot is just a great presenter and brings a very nice touch.

yeah , didnt like him at first, was a bit i don't know maybe nervous, slow in presenting, but as he has got faster , and more confident and competent, especially in commentary, as its a fast pace race, he has got a lot better, so yeah now he is pretty bloody good

Next video focus should be on fuel.... i.e. food and drink. Who takes it seriously, who has a team cook, how to privateers do it, how do riders cope with local cuisine...and who can handle their drink ;-)
