GateKeeper was the largest wing roller coaster when it opened in 2013. This massive roller coaster towers over the entrance to Cedar Point and features a height of 170ft, 67mph and 6 inversions!
I just went on gatekeeper for the first time 3 days ago. One of my favorite coasters. It’s so smooth and those turns into the keyholes are AMAZING!! And it’s such a crazy feeling doing the turn at the top of that hill!! It feels like you’re just dangling there for a few seconds one your stomach
This is my favorite rollar coaster at cedar point!!!! That’s saying a lot because I rode all of them. It’s the perfect coaster because it has all of the features that makes one amazing. The inversions are so thrilling and it’s just so much fun. No matter how many times I ride it it never gets old. I love steel vengeance and millinium force but this is underrated. Go ride the gatekeeper its awesome
Season Pass Holder here. Always ride it several times each visit. The more you ride it, the more you know it & like it. You become totally relaxed on it. Like an olde friend with a cold nose.
The gatekeeper was my first ever big roller coaster, I rode it for the first time today and it changed my point of view to every other roller coaster in the park. They are now one of my favorite things.
I grew up right in Sandusky. Not only have I ridden it, I rode this opening day and waited a total of six hours by myself when I was 14. No one in my family wanted to wait for it. Still one of my favorite rides to this day.
One of my all-time favorites. Me and my wife went this past weekend for our anniversary because our first date was at Cedar Point and this ride was just as great as I remembered
I went on it for the first time last year, and I can’t wait to ride it again in a few weeks when I go back. It’s one of my favorites at the park for sure
We went to CP in October 2023 for the first time. Gatekeeper was my first coaster there , my first B&M coaster, and first wing coaster. A winner in my opinion.
Rode 7 times Tuesday and Wednesday, great ride. The left side for us was better (right lane), love the guillotine effect in the “keyhole’s”. The “stall” during the barrel roll can catch you off guard if you’re not careful.
My favorite btw for people that are scared to ride it. I didn’t get any stomach drops on the ride even in the back and I rode it and now it’s my favorite roller coaster of all time
Aleady been on it.Can say from experience it is a pretty amazing ride. I first went on it year 1 of it's opening and at the time I instantly put it down as my favorite coaster I've been on. Obviously being older and more experienced its been long dethroned but still a great ride.
Just went to cedar point, i rode it 5 times. Its not my favorite coaster, but for how short the line is its worth it. and the front seats are the best.
Fun coaster over all but in my experience the shoulder straps do tighten down on you noticeably thru the ride. Besides that would give it number 6 coaster in the park
I went on this coaster about a few weeks ago and it is by far one of my favorite rides at cedar point even tho I haven’t went on the biggest rides yet this is my favorite and the funniest thing about this coaster is that I’ve seen like 5 year olds go on this coaster but some adults are scared of it lol 😂
Gatekeeper is very smooth but it lacks forces. All of the inversions are weak, the second half is absolutely pointless. However the drop and pullout is a good grey out moment and the keyholes are great, like everybody is saying, probably the smoothest coaster at cedar point. However I prefer the swarm as the inversions do pull some force, the drop is better, and there are much more near miss effects.
I went on it. Is incredibly smooth and great for a person to be introduced to large coasters. However I will say that some of the inversions can hurt a little. As they arnt fast and the restraints arnt exactly comfortable lol.
I live an hour or two from cedar point and i have yet to go in this but i will be going on this next time i go to cedar point which will hopefully be soon
