I wonder what would happen if they gave the skeleton synthetic skin to wear that was a perfect fit. If the skeleton likes it, that could be a permanent way to pacify the SCP. The synthetic skin would not break down like normal skin.
That's a good point - the Foundation HAS the tech and arcane knowledge at its disposal to at times create life. Why hadn't they done that and gave the poor thing a skin? At least it will curtail the rage stage.
That was my first thought as well, I wonder why the Author, or this video, did not address that? :/ Also trying to insinuate that the Skelton would attack kidz seems silly, since if it doesn't attack animals that it cannot wear, it seems highly likely it wouldn't go after anyone that was not the right size.
I genuinley feel bad for the thing for as horrifying as it is the fact that it is trying to be human and fit in and becoming frustrated when it is regected is quite a sad story when you ignore how it gets the skin.
Thanos: *sniff* "All I ever wanted was to be with Death! Is that too much to ask? I thought, maybe, just maybe, if I could kill off half the universe, we could finally be together! Can't you see? I'm not a nefarious supervillain. I'm just a lonely man searching for love in the cold, empty universe."
I wonder if they could further pacify this anomaly by doing some kind of semi-preservation of it's next skin suit. Like if the researchers found a method to embalm a corpse before presenting it to 3114 or after it's put on the skin, would the anomaly enjoy it or would it rip the skin immediately? if it did work, it would increase the "life-span" of the skins and as a result also reduce the amount of times it would need to seek out a new one.
Or they could try and produce a realistic synthetic skin suit that wouldn't rot like real skin does (or at east not nearly as fast). That would probably last it a good while, if 3114 accepted it.
Strangely wholesome that he just wants to have social interactions...the scp foundation needs to find a way to fashion an acceptable skin for him that won't degrade.
That would be intelligent, if their goal was to make it happy and safe to be around, not put it in a box it can’t escape. Granted, it wouldn’t hurt those efforts.
Y'know the doctor who was basically transformed into an antroprophic canine would be good to use to test this SCP's intelligence and if it can speak. Seriously he's a perfect researcher for this guy! Also someone get him a pleather or leather skin that isn't human for it to wear
It's to risky and not worth it, that dog is with par with the greatest minds of the foundation, using him is like burning a 5k dress only wanting to know if it'll burn to nothing
An easy way to remove the danger from SCP-3114 and even permanently pacify it would be to provide it with a permanent set of skin, it has yet to be tested how it would react to a synthetic skin or if via Sarkicism it would be able to provide 3114 with a real set of skin that wouldn't decay similar to The Immortal Hitler Clone minus the pain amplifying.
yeah well i often hear in my minD the names of the new SCPS Before they even get puBlisheD anD createD anD i actually try to make a lot of things go Down arounD the SCP universe of which if only they aDDeD a note of repentance towarDs me to their theme song as where i try to them to write praise anD worship songs that worships me anD to them i shoulD look like a spirit when they come into our worlD anD when i come into their worlD anD will have to Be completely non corporeal otherwise they woulD sin against me in other ways for we are the goDs anD goDDesses of the SCP universe for i Desire full control of all fictional universes where i Become a goD
1. Inorganic skin would work because it depends on the look. It's not like a rubber skin suit would be less convincing than holograms or deceased skin. 2. They're not gonna use Sarkicism
This has to be the easiest to downgrade to safe, just create a durable and realistic synthedic skin suit for it. It might even become helpfull to the organization after that.
Admittedly, there’d probably be a costly period of trial and error in getting one that it actually liked. However long term, that’s still got to be WAY cheaper then dealing with the damage and fallout from a containment breach
I don't know about all that skin, but that police officer kick-disintegrating that door into oblivion sure needs an investigation...of the scp variety...
I don't know about the original SCP article, but surely its within the SCP's technical abilities to create a faux skin for the skeleton? One that doesn't degrade? Even if they can't get one that's good enough, maybe SCP-914 could help with the quality. This SCP seems to have an easy enough fix. Unless it has to be genuine human skin to be accepted or something.
@@VioletTheGoat I agree with maybe avoiding 914 for this, because while it might give something great, it is just as likely to create a faux skin equivalent to 3114 or something even worse, or it might make the faux skin into a teapot, it can be weird like that at times
@@albino478gaming5 the chance may be unlikely but I've read enough reports to know it is nowhere near zero. If you insist on using the clockworks, I'd advise having the operator be someone it likes, such as Maintenance Technician Johnson, though even then I'd still advise against it
Feel like the solution to this would be to give the skeleton skin that can't even decay. If such a thing is possible that is and I doubt it wouldn't be considering what kinds of resources the Foundation has. Hell could go as far as to give it multiple skin suits that never rot away and the skeleton would have next to no need to ever wear normal skin again.
You know this thing could easily be contained by giving it a synthetic skin suit that looks and feels like real skin and won't decompose. You could also tell it, that if it behaves it'll have a never ending supply and of skin and friends (D-class) to play with
Welcome to the SCP Foundation, where we provide a skin obsessed monster with live victims, but never consider giving it a lifelike skin costume, despite it clearly being pacified when it believes that it looks human and is given attention. Seriously, just set up the projector they already use to lure it, and have it display a loop of motions that make it seem like it's interacting with 3114 while it's wearing the fake skin suit... Sorry, I should probably just repeat, "Don't expect sense from the Foundation" a few times, and leave it at that. XP Thank you for the video.
you can kind of justify any seemingly stupid decision of that aort by assuming they tested it and it didnt work, or that they're sticking to what they know works, without risking making things worse. One option leaves it to your own devices to consider how that idea could go wrong the other one says they weighed the live victims as less than the potential danger of this thing getting angrier than ever before
When they ate placid, maybe try teaching him sign language. I remebr another shaodw scp that became an amazing cook once it learned to speak. We just need to help the skellington feel wanted and he would be friendly
How would they react to a fur suit or a mascot costume? Would see a humimond and skin it to see a peorin or a fleash skellington? Maybe it wear a fur suit instead of skin. It liked clothes so this maybe be a harm free way of helping it
Alright, anyone curious how scp 3114 and 096 would interact? Both are rapidly healing entities that are aggressive humanoids with a level of intelligence. 096 just wants to hide his face and 3114 just wants to steal his face 🤔
*Have you seen the ghost of John? Long white bones with the flesh all gone. Wouldn't it be chilly with no skin on?* used to sing that as a choir warm-up.
I know the foundation is no GOC but I think they should probably try to neutralize it because it's such a risk to civilians when it gets in public and it isn't always easy to find. Also it seems pretty easy, just hook up some dynamite to it and destroy the whole thing before it can regenerate
Oh I know the song they're referencing. I sung it as a round when I was a kid _ Have you seen the Ghost of John?~ Long White Bones with No Skin On~ Ooo Ooo OOo aa Ooo Oo Ooooh~ Wouldn't it be chilly with No Skin on?~ _
It's funny how just last night I watched this on Professor Lucius channel. This is why I like watching different SCP channels. Same information on the SCPs, but how the information is shared and stories told usually vary.
Why don't researchers just build him a new body out of silicone and you can even put 3114 and his silicone body in the clockworks on fine and 3114 will most likely have real body like us
I'm pretty sure there is another scp similar to this one in the fact that it is a skin walker and steals others skin to pretend to be like that animal.
Don't introduce this one to 029 - but interestingly, the skeleton might have anomalous abilities to degrade tissue. Skin tends to dehydrate, but it doesn't rot away all that quickly unless there's a ton of moisture in the enviornment... A rubber, latex, or vinyl suit wouldn't be that hard to get hold of, but it could be expensive. Likely to work though, based off the reaction to the clothes and mannequin.
SCP 001 when DAY breaks (SCP 3114 skeletons skin) SCP 001 when DAY breaks (SCP 1913 the furies) SCP 001 when DAY breaks (SCP 3663 tunnel monster) SCP 001 when DAY breaks (SCP 527 Mr fish)
Well that’s oddly wholesome in the least wholesome way possible, I kinda feel bad for it, it just wants to be friendly and have a friend, whether that be a dog, or a person, it’s sad that it has to kill to do it
Have they tried saying hello when it's skinless ? Through a safety screen , it may be possible to slowly let the entity realize that it's ok to be themselves , that people can get used to a skeleton, but not an "edgar suit" . Obviously it's Ed Gein . 3114 just needs lots of fashionable clothes and genuine friendly interactions while it is a bare skeleton and it will be "safe" In a few years.
It seems like an easy fix to just give it a synthetic skin suit. Day 335 of asking the O5 Council to use SCP-1968 to create a universe in which 682 doesn't exist.
I have an idea why not use SCP 291 on 3114 to give it flesh that doesn't rot cause while 3114 has flesh it won't attack anyone making it docile and maybe even human
