In this lesson we'll discuss the construction and theory of operation of wound rotor induction motors as well as examine their mechanical and electrical properties while in operation. Additionally, we'll examine how rotor resistance influences the shape of the speed torque curve, mechanical power, inrush current and efficiency. (Full Lecture)
