My 2 cents...never understood why all these Chinese radios will not put a DC jack in the radio itself. DC charging requires it be in the radio base. Very inconvenient in the field or in the car. This is one big reason, to me anyway, why I will not buy one.
i agree 100%! though now (4 years later) Baofeng makes a new battery now that has the charge port on the battery itself and a USB to 9vdc cable to be able to charge from my solar battery pack. Just wish Anyton would do that for the AT878UV still have to have the cradle for it currently
How do you get the Air Band on there is nothing that makes any sense in manual so I contacted Wouxun and they explained how to set up CTCSS and I did not even ask that question.
Hi if I buy another one , how easy is it to programme for walkie talkie use in a home ?... If they're both on the same frequency it works right ?... Is it easy?... Thanks from London .
What happens when a ham in North America accidentally resets a Wouxon radio and then can't operate it 'cause it then resets to Chinese text? Should all hell breaks loose in the ham shack? I just want to fling it into the wall or see it do the 'Does it blend' test.
Also any dialed frequency in 900mhz range is actually 700mhz. 948.860mhz will be on 764.260 Wich is 184.600 difference. It will show 900 but actual frequency is exactly 184.600 less. This unit is a lemon. Just when you think u listening to 900mhz know that u are not. It simply is false and misleading.
