For anyone saying they want to add a couple inches to their vertical, try doing 5x5 Squats and Front squats once a week. Start your weight off low and practice form, then starting adding on weight over a couple weeks, and you'll add a couple inches easily. Especially if you've never worked out before.
@@houtaa35 search 5x5 and front squat exercises if you want specifics on that part of his recommendation. As for the second half, "start your weight off low and practice form" means while doing these squats, do it whilst holding lower end weights such as 5-15 pounds so you really get the technique and form of the exercise (Squat in this case) down and correct as opposed to rushing with heavier weights which would be sacrificing exercise accuracy in favor of quicker muscle growth. Once squat forms are correct, gradually increase the weight of your weights. Not sure how much you didn't understand so I'll explain the last part of his advice too, which basically assures that doing said exercises should show progress when testing your vertical especially if these were muscles (when doing the squats) that weren't in regular use prior. Anyways I hope this more broken down description helps although I'd wager I'm a couple years on the late side...
+Professorlive , man forget how people judge you , they cant accept the underdog the way you play basketball, I'm inspired by the way you play and how many other NBA stars you've played with... must be one of the biggest accomplishments you've made in life, stay active bro 💯💪🏀
Props to this kid he has some serious skills! I wonder where he learned to ball like that! I am six five and this kid has better hops than I do! Although I am now old as dirt :-)
hes not good enough for the nba, he would get demolished in the paint by defenders much bigger and stronger than him, he also wouldnt be able to play very good defence on other guards
Professor your to Humble ... Reminds me a bit of Steve Nash ☺. He was able to dunk too but wouldn't try it in a game. Yall would stick to what your already good at with breaking ankles , crossing over defenders, and laying it up off the fast break 👍 both Legends 4 that ... Mad respect 👊
Hey professor, im a 5' 9.5'' kid, still growing, with about a 28-30 inch vertical that's looking to expand his jumping ability. Whats your leg work out and what weight do you do it with to jump that high?
well i would very much like to see this considering you would need a 55 inch vert to dunk and a 49 inch vert to get rim.........that's a higher vert than what Lebron and any other NBA player has and one of the highest in the world
+Eton Mogy... Wrong.... Stop trying to be smart... My standing reach is 84 inches (when my hands are stretched upward) and a basketball rim is 120 inches tall.... That means i only need 36 inches to touch the rim... And my vertical is est. 41 inches... You are just sooooooo wrong.... And i believe LeBron has a vert of 40 inches.... The thing is its not all about the vertical. he is also tall and have wide wingspan... Nate robinson has like a 48 inch vert and we have almost similar height.... Again you simply messed up.
No biggie ? U kiddin ? Can they do moves like professor ? Is they dribblin skill better than the professor ? I DONT THINK SO.. And the professor is white and not as muscular as all the 5 footers nba player
tom wilkinson, if you think these guys are not playing D you are out of your mind. I have tried to guard this guy. He is the definition of quadruple threat. You play tight=he goes past you, you play loose=he hits the jay, try to beat him to the spot=he makes you fall over, you think you are guarding him=he is setting you up for the oop. Good luck bro.
SpitnGames prob 5 10 when strtching his neck toward the ceiling and using all hid muscles to stretch his spin and puting all the weight on th balls of his feet.
he's doing what alot of people need to understand, you will jump higher when you go off both feet, you are loosing 25% of the jump you will be able to accomplish after practicing daily, try it out. Good shit tho
Sigh... I wish I was near 6 ft. I'm around 5'5 and use to touch rim at my local park, but I never could dunk. Being 6ft and dunking isn't saying much... but Professor did say dont call him a dunker... dudes humble I like it.
