BTS are legends 💜 They started in 2013 and have over 350+ different songs as a group and as soloists. They are the biggest group in the world and each of them are successful solo artist so you've got plenty to watch! They are known for their lyricism, live performances and love for their fans. They all produce, write and compose which is always great! This song is meant to clap back at haters and celebrate their global success - it's part of their 'Love Yourself' trilogy of albums. It's relevant because of all the hate they've received since they started (and still receive), coming from a small label that was near bankruptcy at one point. For example, fans from other groups used to mock them for their lack of daesangs (grand prizes) despite being a group for a few years. They used to compare them to another group that was one year older and had 14 daesangs, ignoring that this group was from the biggest company and had full industry support. So when BTS started winning daesangs and ended up sweeping most of them, they got mad and accused them of cheating and manipulating charts. They made petitions for them to disband and even asked to abolish one of the award show for giving them a daesang instead of another group. Now BTS has the most daesangs in South Korea's history with over 70 of them. The whole chorus is a flex toward those who mocked them and ARMY for having a dream 💜

BTS started as hip hop group with 3 rappers and 4 vocalist but they experimented with multiple genres. They have been around since 2013. Currently BTS is not active as a group due to mandatory military service and will reunite after June2025. Only one member have completed the military service. Even they're not active as a group, they still continue to release solo projects (pre recorded of course). Other songs you can check out are fake love and on kinetic manifesto. They also have full English songs like dynamite, butter and permission to dance which were released during the pandemic. Expect a happy poppy song on that one. 😊

As others have already commented, as long as you play their music videos from either the BangtanTV or Hybe Labels YT channels and start with the BiGHit logo, you won’t have trouble. Both the label and even the members are aware that there are reaction channels. I think that JK has even watched a reaction video during one of his Weverse lives. There are tons of other reaction channels who have done official video reactions and even several years after it was posted, it is still up unedited. Now live performances are where it gets tricky and Army who have been around much longer than I have will tell you which types of live shows can be posted without some sort of effect and which ones can be posted as it was shown on RU-vid.

I recommend you check their latest live performance of Mic Drop from their Yet To Come Busan concert last October 2022 where it was attended by 70k live audience and was livestreamed by over 50M worldwide causing the apps to crash from time to time....but so worth it. Hi, since I’m ARMY (BTS fan), I have this MV memorized and wanted to pay more attention to you and your reaction and comments. I could see that, even though you sound very chill, I can see that you were paying attention to a lot of things and vibing with it. First, I appreciate that you gave BTS a chance for a listen. Everything you said is true. This song is more towards the haters since it’s older and there’s a very valid reason for that where other songs, even if it’s a diss track, has extremely poignant lyrics with so much depth. Mic Drop does have a lot of wordplay, but much less than other BTS songs (not counting the 3 Full English songs that came out during the pandemic). They often incorporate both English, Korean, full Korean, Japanese, and more English in their huge variety of genres they can do. Fun fact: They got part of the idea of dropping the mic when Barack Obama did that during one of his last speeches. If you decide to check a different song out, if it says ‘Big Hit’, then you don’t have to lighten the opacity and use an effect. Thanks for reacting to my guys! You know? They are perfect at the studio versions, and even better when live! They perform the same choreography and sing live (no lipsync). Unfortunately, since the beginning, they've received a lot of hate. The first two members (RM and Suga) were underground rappers and received a lot of hate from their former colleagues saying they weren't real rappers and other bad things, so you'll find some diss tracks (awesome ones!) within their huge discography. Labeling them as a "boy band" or a "pop group" is not right, because they are very eclectic. I have just one playlist on Spotify, 95% of it is BTS. I can listen to them all day: they have not even a bad song! I've been a proud Army (fandom) since I met them four years ago. I'm 67yo, ok? The fandom is formed by people from all parts of the world, no matter age, race, religion, age, etc. because they are not just excellent (and complete) artists, but excellent human beings, too.

If you are a rap enthusiast I would recommend more of their solo stuff. RM's new album is an experimental masterpiece. If you want to see another group song, i think you will like IDOL and FAKE LOVE, but what ever you watch it will be a journey.
