Im a Messi fan but tbh I think Ronaldinho was better than both Messi and Ronaldo but as with most Brazilians he partied as hard as he trained so his peak was only 3/4 years, but still he is legendary and the streets will never forget him 🔥🔥🔥 Some people prefer Messi, some people prefer Ronaldo but everyone loves Ronaldinho ❤️ He retired from professional football in 2014, but still plays some charity games.

What he did for 3 to 4 years was un heard of, some times its the way you do things , and he dominated, but the way he dominated was beautiful to watch. I was chatting to my brother the other day and I asked him which guy would you rather be, The guy who many say is the goat, won everything , dominated for 15+ years, and sacrificed your entire life to achieve that, or the guy Who did the same but in a 4 year stretch , but pretty much samba danced his way through the highest level of pro football, with a smile on his face the whole time. We both chose Ronaldinho lool. I think Ronaldinho inspired as many kids to play football as Messi has , and both are incredible players, but I cant help but love Ronaldinho a little more because he was a party animal, and he played Futsal pretty much in the highest levels of 11 a side football. I think the level he reached at Barcelona might be the best top flight football the world has ever seen, just a shame it was only a few years long. (for the record, I have Maradona as the GOAT and Messi close second, but I agree , maybe R10''s peak was the ultimate , I also think the same can be said for R9's peak too)

Ronaldinho wasn't training as hard as he should have been and he was still a beast so just imagine if he had the work ethic like Cristiano Ronaldo. His skill and talent was just pure natural, he was magical to watch and made world class pro players look like rookies. He is the best and the footballer who made people fall in love with the sport. He mentored Messi and assisted him with his first goal. Also Barcelona wasn't doing so great in the league until Ronaldinho came along and changed their recognition in the league. There will never be another Ronaldinho ❤️

A little late, but if you want a player who does basically everything, take a look at Ronaldo the phenomenon, there is a video of him against Ronaldinho comparing their skills (R9 vs R10) but I would recommend watching a video of him alone, he was probably the best player who already took the field, and we only saw him until he was 22 until he suffered 2 career-ending injuries in a row, spent almost 2 years without playing a game, returned to the 2002 World Cup and won, as MPV, best player in the world and ballon d'or while having both knees destroyed (LOL)

Ronaldinho as my dad would say wasn't playing football, he was simply having fun on the field And it's true he was a Juggler and a technician .... to a point where FIFA had to ban some of his stunts because they were potentially dangerous

I’m 60 and I’ve been watching Ronaldinho since he was 19 and watched him grow as a football player and entertainer. IMHO the best player I’ve ever seen. Ronaldinho is in top 3 free-kicks scorer. He has 68 free-kick goals. Messi is in top 5. Even if he use to party a lot and missed a lot of trainings, he won every trophy. He won the World Cup too with a great contribution for his national team, Brazil. This guy made me fall in love with football about 20 years ago, but I have watch it even in that World Cup tournament in 2002. He made me hate football those days. Today players look like they sleep on the pitch. Ronaldinho is the guy who didn't need trainings to play great football...

Think about it, a team is made out of 11 players, basically 10 because the goalkeeper lives in the box (unless you are Neuer, Higuita or Chilavert). So, if Ronaldinho manages to get marked by 3 or 4 people, that means all the strikers are free to get in position. Ronaldinho was a 10, the brains of the operation, not the 9 or 11 (strikers). He also played and forged young messi.

Actually, you are right. In fact Ronaldinho was a better playmaker than a scorer, you can say with practically 100% certainty that in his 4 prime years he was a perfect playmaker, he passed very well, dribbling, skills, ball control, vision of the game, kick, everything he did worked and nothing could stop him. In fact, it's curious, he was Messi's "teacher", being responsible for providing 2 assists for Messi's first 2 goals (although the first one was offside lol)

The reason that he didn't have that much goal assist in career as those Messi or Ronaldo is because his career life is quite short. his style of play is likely to be shoveled down by those hardcore defender(which quite popular style for a defender in those era to train in this style). and it make him injured more frequently. and his life style is quite the problem. he love to go to club. and quite loose in discipline. like dietary eat what he want practice at the minimum the coach required etc. Those south american stars especially Brazilian in those era 70-80% has problem at discipline. they are full of talent but their lifestyle make them retire quickly and stay at the peak no more than 5 years at most. and then they fallen due to injury or can't play in peak form anymore.
