A WoW Classic Christmas video/poem! I'm sure you were all wondering what Gorak and Snorri were up to? No? Well here you go anyway!
Poem text:
'Twas the night before christmas, and all through the land
Heroes were settling down on the sand
Wondering there, with stars in their eyes
if tomorrow might bright them a Christmas surprise
A fancy Wolf mount, a new magic axe
Or maybe just rough stone, and copper in stacks
Whatever it was, it had to be great
And Gorak the orc, he just couldn't wait.
Across the great sea, a Paladin stout
Had his smile upside down in a christmas-y pout
For his dreams of a rifle had suffered a blow,
And left him as cold as fresh winter snow.
He looked out the window, and what did he see
But stupid dumb Hunters, gun-questing with glee
He sighed to himself, and rose from his chair
And then went outside, for a breath of fresh air
He looked to the stars, and closed his eyes tight
And sent out a wish in that cold winter night.
Maybe tomorrow, would a miracle bring,
After all it was Christmas, the time for such things.
A few hours passed, and the sky was most dark
When something appeared up above, like a bright little spark
Our heroes awoke, with their eyes all a-blear
Perhaps father Christmas had come early this year?
They jumped to their feet, but soon their smiles froze
As what they'd mistaken for Santa drew close.
The thing struck the ground and with searing heat
an explosion knocked our heroes off of their feet.
They rolled to a stop, with their beards all askew,
and dared a quick look towards fiery hue.
In the midst of the flames, an egg-shape of gold
Like a beacon it called to our heroes so bold
Brave adventurers both, they each grabbed a stick,
and ventured an ovoidal prodding real quick.
They heard a brief sound and then, with a flash,
A bright light emerged from the egg in the ash!
It grew and it grew to a ball of pure white,
as our heroes stumbled backwards in fright.
Then, with a pulse, and a sudden fierce wind,
The radiant sphere began drawing them in!
They grabbed whatever object was near,
and fought with all of their might to stay clear,
Both sand and snow were lost to the gale
And even the odd gnome, gone with a wail
Then, with a flash, it was gone with no trace
Leaving our heroes falling flat on their face
They both got up, and what did they see,
but a quite drastic change to their scenery.
For what had been desert and heat was now snow,
And what had been cold was now warm pleasant glow.
Our heroes they found, as dawn came at last
That even though neither had got what they'd asked.
That things in the end hadn't turned out so bad.
And that these new changes meant fun to be had.
Now, whether you're for the Alliance or Horde
And whether you're specced in axe or in sword
Whether low-level miner with bronze- and tin-bar,
Or a guild leader waiting for sweet Ulduar.
Be you warrior Orc or Dwarf of the light
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!
