They have a new filter - fluoride and water chems/germs ALL IN ONE ! I just bought mine. I don't have a channel like you do, but you could chat it up!!
So I had a Berkey and if you have heard, there is a huge controversy in the last few months over the filtering integrity of the black Berky filters. At the same time I moved to a much harder water system from city water to a well. Lots of iron in that well water. I started researching because the Berkey filters let the iron through, water tasted awful and the sludge at the bottom of both chambers was concerning. Someone in comments suggested the Doultons and I ordered them. They fit the Travel Berkey well, and the water tastes great. I put myself on a subscription for filters. This is awesome!!
Thank you for this info. I've had problems with sediment in the bottom chamber. Literally coming from the filter not the tap water. Wasted $. I have been looking at this (Doulton) . How long have you had the Doulton filters??? TY
@@sarac.5153 I wanted to come back and update. I have been storing the filtered water in a glazed crock instead of the Berkey itself. After I filter twice to fill the crock I rinse the Berkey with a very diluted vinager spritz and dry and store. The water can't react with the Berkey water saving it from potential pitting. Water tastes great and the system Works well. I have the travel size and filter twice a week for me and a small dog and cat. They get fresh water every day.
How long till the first lot of water goes through the brand new filters? I got mine this morning, filled it with water, and only about an inch has gone through so far.
Hi. With the world been in the unstable way that it is right now what is in your opinion is the best filters for this system to get rid of toxins,chloramines, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, heavy metals, and other harmful elements in the water. Thank you!!
