Hi guys, if you want to make EVEN more gold you want an alchemist. The alchemist can make free action potions with the stranglekelp and black mouth oil. If you have an alchemist you should also process all the fish such as making the oily black mouth into black mouth oil and firefin snappers into fire oil and of course stonescale eel into stonescale oil. This increased my gold per hour by 40g. Absolutely fantastic video mate you got a subscriber :D
Druids can do their fishing in Moonglade- Nightfin goes for 1g or so per fish; rustle it up into soup & you can make even more. I can do a cheeky 1h grind whilst reading the news each morning. I keep 2 stacks on me, all the surplus to the AH 👍🏼
I started classic a few months ago, went herb/skinning and fishing. Had about 2500g the time I hit 60. Would fish for like an hour or so before questing and it realy pays off in the long run.
I've started Classic WoW recently and have been watching a lot of your profession guides from months ago - i did not see THIS coming! Thanks and keep up the good work :)
I do something similar to this. Have tailor and enchant as main. Alts with leather and alchemy. Fire fin gets made into fire oil. stranglekelp and oily blackmouth made into FAP and I find these sell much better and for a lot more than the raw fish and herbs. Leather and cloth get crafted and DE along with all the boe items I get. I don’t budge with my price for eels or rum. People will undercut but come around raid time and they all sell out.
I cannot tell you just how excellent the advice is here. I showed up in Outlands pretty much broke. The problem is exasperated because I play on a dead server (Alliance Earthfury) and it is really hard to sell much of anything. Needless to say, not being to fly is a big negative and I was considering transferring to another server. Just a couple of days of fishing in the spots the author recommended gave me all the gold I needed!!
If you're coming across this vid to make gold on low pop classic retail in 2023, or a 1.12 server (even something like turtle wow that has currently about 6k peak players, though somewhat inflated by lite multiboxing), this really isn't going to make you 100 gold an hour. Not only may the fishing route take a longer time than in this video, but the player base is so heavily weighted at the bottom versus the top that most players are listing mats for wayyy cheaper than these AH prices. This guide becomes a lot more useful with alchemy so that you can turn the fish into oils yourself and then make flasks/elixirs but even then I have to be careful of flooding the market. I imagine these steps are going to be much more lucrative with the next classic server(s) from Blizz because in the hype you'll have enough players at level 60 that are raiding and there'll be higher demand for the flasks/elixirs. But for now, it's probably quicker for you to just lean on Alchemy and snipe low priced mats on AH to then turn into whichever pots are actually selling. Ench materials are also super inflated on my server so Alch & Ench seems like the way to go right now.
Hey brother! Amazing videos. I just came back to classic wow and when I have any questions I always look to see if you have a video on it first. I love your stile and the way you take your time to explain all the fine details that matter so much with a lot of this stuff. I just finished your 1-300 Fishing / Cooking Guide and found it to be one of the more enjoyable things that I've done in classic wow. Thanks very much for the good times my friend. Hope you're doing well and life is good for you!
Thank you for the fishing tips; more money for me! And especially thank you for that Auctionator addon! It saves bag space when splitting, frustrations, helps prevent accidents, and changes my 10 minute auction time into 10 seconds; it is extremely efficient! One of the main reasons why I haven't been auctioning was because of all the time and effort needed to split things into singles. This removes that! Thank you for the Auctionator! Oh, and you were thinking of "Shadowprey Village", that Horde place in the Desolace.
I have started for first time ever playing claaic in Feb, till i found your vid i was sitting on 100g . after few days i have 600g. Thanks man for this great guide! much appreciated
Great vid I followed your guides to get my fishing&cooking quests done though I am trying to do some 275 recipes to hit 300 cooking the salmon&bass recipes are grey. Back on track, in Tanaris there are several pools in the bottom 1/2 of that loop but they are guarded by Elites and mobs whom I cant tell there level because I am only 36.
@@Icosiol Ah okay I see, thanks alot. I'm lvl 41 so I'm skipping the Tanaris pirates and Feralas for now but already had a some gold flowing in from fishing the stv coast. Thanks:)
Great vid - need my epic mount still so best get my rod out! :) Hate to point it out, but you started (before AH listing fees) with 72G, not 40 - so profits a bit less, but still damn good with all that fish still to sell.
Great vid! Late the party but you've definitely helped me a ton. One thought though, Won't people actually spend more to buy a stack rather than singles? I know I do.
If an item usually sells for (example price) 2g, but stacks are selling for 1g 50s and there are no singles being sold; I will sometimes sell singles at the higher price. Some people just need a few and will pay the higher amount, so I try to capture those customers without losing much in value. Sometimes it works and other times it doesn’t. Alternatively, if I own the market I will give a price reduction for buying in bulk but raise the price the smaller the stack gets with singles being the most expensive.
One of my viewers during this video's premier suggested that. I had no idea that worked, but the good thing is that it shows there's no shenanigans in this video and keeps its integrity which was important to me.
So I'm a bit concerned about your timelines, I've just done STV with 100% mount and speed boots and that took me an hour and 15 mins, before doing Tanaris and Ferelas......... ?
You must have had a lot of pools to fish. There was a couple times where it seemed like I had a pool one after another and it did take more than an hour to fish them all, but that is definitely not the norm.
I have tried this farm, and on my server no one is buying my Stonescale Eel and Firefin Snapper on the auction house. Might this be because it's prepatch, is my server just dead or am I just doing something wrong? lol
I don’t know the population of your server, but likely it’s the pre-patch. Those fish are for alchemy items that won’t be used in TBC. Fish in the waters near Karazhan, and start getting TBC fish from there, and watch the market when they start to sell.
can you do a tutorial on how to add you action house addon - i tried and couldn't do it successfully - tried googling it but everyone seems to use auctioneer instead of the one you use.
Idk... I tried this a while... but most of the time you are hard struggeling with skull mobs... 50% of the pools are camped with this mobs and it is impossible to fish and 10% of the pools are buggy cuz they are too close to the strand.... after all this and finding the right little spot where u dont aggro anything u are more busy with avoid problems than fishing... nothing for me... but everybody who have 24h time each day go for it
i tried this but it seems the ah prices on my server are way lower - got about 30 Gold out of it - not really worth it for that time investment - atleast on my Server
It’s definitely going to vary from server to server. I am on Bigglesworth which has a healthy population and economy. If you’re on a low population server it might not be as beneficial. What you can do instead is look at the prices of Stonescale Eel and go back and forth between Feralas and Tanaris looking for just those pools. You will have a chance of finding Rumsey Rum Black Label, so check those prices as well. Also check out my first “Fishing for Gold” video guide to see what other lucrative fish there are. That being said though it is all dependent on your server. It could be that the fishing market on your server is just not good enough for the time investment.
I bet you could have sold a lot more if you didn't sell stacks of one is a purchaser of the auction house I hate stacks of 1 yeah my by 1 or 2 but I don't wanna buy 426 I wanna buy stacks of 20i stacks of 5 stacks of ten and 1 to fill the last spot that I need
When selling singles the goal is to sell them for the higher price expecting not to be able to sell all of your inventory. If you do sell all your inventory you just made more. Not everyone needs a full stack.
Not only that, but at this time you can collect Winter Squid in that same location. If you can fish in open waters in Feralas between 12am-6am server time you can make some real good Gold/hr. Hmm...maybe that's the next fishing gold quest I do? :D
@@Icosiol It was :D Not exactly like this though but mostly, dont do the feralas part, will try it! Also i play on one of the most populated pvp servers EU and the "backside" of stv is usually MORE safe then the frontside, ESPECIALLY ZG isle. Thank you so much for the tips and help. Used your fishing guide ALOT.
@@Fortem94 in your case yeah, I would definitely suggest the east coast of STV, but it still might be a bit rough. Another option might be the pools on the coast of Azshara, but you need to have your fishing maxed to 425 in order to not lose any fish. Those pools also don't spawn as quickly.
Lol I have seen so many unsuspecting people die in HC because of this method. As people are running up the southern coast of STV they are aggroing the Naga and those are running to people who are doing the akiras reeds quest.
Coming back to classic after some downtime the firefin snappers and oily blackmouth go for 1-2g each on my server and the competition is literally 0 in STV so this farm is closer to 200g/hour for me. I'm not really sure why but it seems the botters stopped fishing and went on to other farms.
Feralas at night, has a ton if nobody is farming for it. However, that said I think some of that might have been leftover from another farm and didn’t realize it, because yeah 65 probably not. 40 is typically what I will get on a good day, so 45 is reasonable but 65 is telling me I might have had leftover and didn’t catch it. Good eye. Hope it doesn’t discredit the farm, because I am still making 150-200g when I complete the entire farm.
@@Icosiol No it doesnt discredit anything. I just know as a stonescale horder you get around 3-4 per pool. To get 65 would around 20 pools of stonescale and that would take awhike to find lol. Still enjoyed the video. Get ready for TBC!
