Did the same when my mage hit 40 2months ago took some time to learn ^^ gg very well executed. My favourite wipe was when I was almost at the scarabs and got turned into a frog :D
This is the most straightforward path I've seen for level 40. No hiding behind stupid boxes in room 1, reset with the horse on that wall on the right is 100 times easier. I bet you can get to the second set of boxes without Inv potion, on my server they're really expensive. If you get plague from Theka like in the video, just Ice block and cancel immediately, then cold snap to have new Ice Block up just in case. The damage from disease can mess up the pull
Hmmm.. If you can boost to 42, that would probably be preferable to starting the GY pull at 40, as there is a bit of RNG involved with resists, shields going down and such. Also, very impressive doing this at 40!! Haven't checked if you have a more recent video on this, but a little "tip" I got both from experience and Arlaeus, is that you should always blizzard the corner. They get hit multiple times by blizzard there = less chance of resisting the slow from it. Also, to the people getting hexed by boss. iceblock and cancel, then keep going or run to a reset spot!

Apparently if you don’t damage a mob after 10 seconds, their exp gain is reset to the percentage of hp they have left. So if you damage a zombie down to 50% and then kite back and forth too long to regen mana, you’ll only get 50% of the exp from that mob
@@drgreenthumnb You can stand on the wall and loot across the gap for most of them. For the others, mount and jump laterally, not perpendicularly. The jump with the mount is tricky, I usually just wait until zombies get to under 1000 hp and from then on only damage them on the wall, not on the side of the hill.
Don't let them hit you in the back, mobs have like a 50% chance to daze if they hit you in the back. Either be shielded or turn and face them when they hit you.
