These toilet bowl cleaners are dilute hydrochloric acid. If you are careful you can also buy hydrochloric acid (also know as muriatic acid) for a faster stronger clean. Just remember this works on things like rust and calcium. Won't work well on certain stains, for that maybe use a chlorine bleach based product.
What about where the hull is sitting on the trailer bunks? Does that cleanser soak into the carpet and then eat into the Gel Coat that is sitting on the carpet?
I tried it on the stern of my Pro Line.. It turned my white blue . Now I can't get the blue off. I will keep trying other stuff till I get it. It does work except for the blue
You should get a lawyer and take this guy to court.....Obviously I'm just kidding but that stinks. Have you tried Mary Kate hull and bottom cleaner? That's what I use and it doesn't hurt fiberglass or gel coat. It works amazing and is very strong. Be careful and use proper safety equipment as its like an acid
Get Mary Kate hull and bottom cleaner at any ace hardware. I use it every year and all you do is apply with brush, let sit and rinse it off. It's incredibly strong and safe on gel coat and fiberglass. It will remove any stains and get your boat like new. Just wear proper safety gear as it is very strong and use in well ventilated area. It's only like 15-20$ but will save you time and money
This is a great way to eat your gelcoat. Get some polish and hand applicators and get your hands dirty. You can do it for less than $10 (6.50 for a bottle of polish, 1.50/2pack hand applicators) and it will look way better and not harm your boat, yes it is going to remove gelcoat as well but it’s designed to do so in a safe manner, unlike this.
