You lost because you moved your units closer to the bomb. If you left 1 unit that was irrelevant close to the bomb and the rest out of range. You would have won. Because the god of war would have attacked the solo unit giving your group of units more time to generate mana without losing too much health

Edit: Fun god build, 6 Warriors (God of War, Abyssal, Swordman, Doom, Berserker, Pirate Captain), 3 Warlocks(Soul Reaper, Shadow Devil, Poisonous Worm or Venomancer eventually Dark Spirit). You have many options... if never going to use Dark Spirit then you can use Stone Spirit, remove Berserker and use Desperate Doctor. Many many options in this build and can bring on whatever at lvl 10, 2nd god or tech piece.
