So now you'll need to hear Jimmy Barnes with John Farnham, "When something is Wrong with My Baby." Barnsey and Farnsey are both legends. Or Jimmy with Tina Turner, "Simply the best."
@@didymalgia When something is wrong with my baby is absolutely the best experience ever! Listen to the live version on Hey Hey it’s Saturday. Trust me after it you will be saying why didn’t I do this sooner!! You haven’t even discovered John Farnham yet- you think Jimmy’s good wait till you see John!
I love this song and love watching people react to it for the first time. What a voice Jimmy Barnes has! I've seen Joe Bonamassa live in the UK. For the record, Joe is American, Jimmy is Australian. Regardless though, both incredibly talented individuals that gel exceptionally well. Glad you liked. You should check out more of Joe's work. Peace!
I think you'd love to see and hear Jimmy's daughter Mahalia Barnes w Joe Bonamassa ' riding with the kings' it's just wonderful! Her voice is power like her Dad 😃🌏🪐🌕🙏🌸🇦🇺👏🌞⛱️🏡🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
just loved/felt your reaction ,you nearly won yourself an honoury aussie certificate (you really don't need one because it's a heart thing and you just realised you're one of us ) because you get it .it's nearly our own form of sacred music , because there's no pretension ,all the defences around the heart are down and you can get such a deep ,sort of primal connection . so glad to see you really grabbed onto this .
Fantastic choice to react to these phenomenal blues artists. Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham are two of the best male vocalist from Australia. I also love the late great, Stevie Ray Vaughn.
G'Day from Oz. You will get DOUBLY blown away with this next one - Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham, singing, "When Something Is Wrong With My Baby". Choose a LIVE version from a number on You Tube. John is a versatile singer with a vocal range from A2 to G5. He is considered "rock royalty" in Australia. Always choose a LIVE video of John as his energy and performance are amazing. He does some fantastic performances with his band and The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, on RU-vid. I'm looking forward to seeing another WOW! reaction from you.
🇫🇮🇫🇮 Jimmy Barnes and Tina Turner covered her classic "Simply the best" together when she was in Australia and its fire 🔥. A much younger Jimmy, in his glory days when he ruled Aussie rock!!
Jimmy was lead singer in a band called cold chisel but after leaving explored many other genres with blues being at the forefront and as you can see it really suits his raspy voice I'm glad your enjoying our Aussie talent thank you
I just love your channel Didy❤️😃 thank you so much. From another Aussie. This is a beautiful song, Jimmy still has so much talent and strength in his voice. He's fantastic👏🌏🪐🌕🙏🌸🇦🇺🌞⛱️🦋🐦🏡🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Loved your reaction. I have lost count of how many times I have seen Jimmy perform live and enjoyed every one. He's a great singer with a distinctly unique voice. This is one of my all time favourite songs of his. Glad you enjoyed it too. Cheers from Australia!
How nice to start following your reactions to Angelina Jordan and now find you reviewing Joe Bonamassa - who was born and grew up in my part of the world - upstate NY. If you like blues and superb guitar playing by somebody who oozes feeling and emotion (like Angelina), then be prepared to jump into another rabbit hole! Also like Angelina, Joe's a child prodigy, going on the road with BB King when he was 12 years old. There's much to say about Joe ... and ... don't miss his collaborations with Beth Hart too! Angelina is the Queen of Jazz and Beth is the Queen of the Blues. Her stunning rendition of I'd Rather Go Blind, with Joe is one of the best performances ever - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-UEHwO_UEp7A.html OMG there are so many many great performances by Joe I don't even know where to start, perhaps his epic collaboration with Eric Clapton at Joe's 2009 live concert at the Royal Albert Hall - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-h5aVK70P88k.html.
Thank you so much Rick, i truly appreciate the links you've sent me. They are going right on my "to do list"... The list is long as a bad year now but, im jumping back and forth on it ;) Suddenly there's a new Jimmy Barnes reaction ❤️
Oh my Didy, you are in for some special music! Jimmy Barnes is amazing & as a huuuuge fan of Joe Bonamassa…. Yay!!🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎼✌🏻had to edit 🤪🥰🤘🏻also, Didy, no pressure with what u react to…. I’m here for the music & whatever u do… just make sure you do you….ps Jimmy Barnes is f’g amazing…. Bad words noted🤣 2am your time… sorry but had to comment 🤭😬
Awesome reaction... heartfelt buddy! Would love to hear your reaction to John Farnham and Little River Band - those will blow your mind for starters; also The Black Sorrows "Chained to the Wheel"; also Tina Arena "Chains"; then there's The Seekers; INXS (in excess); etc., etc., the 1980's for e.g belonged to the Australian music artists... just some more best kept secrets from this musically gifted nation... Cheers from Sydney Australia.
You've got to go down the Aussie (Ozzie) rabbit hole: John Farnham, Delta Goodrem, Tina Arena, Michael Paynter, Guy Sebastian, Icehouse, The Angels, Hoodoo Gurus, Noiseworks, Jack Jones, Southern Sons, Gurrumul, Jessica Mauboy, Darryl Braithwaite.
My favourite reaction on RU-vid...by a long way.. epic performance and you appeared so overwhelmed you didn't interrupt... long live our Aussie icons..!
I never interrupt my reactions. A song is ment to be listened to from the start to the end, not stopped every 30 seconds 😊 Thank you so much for the fantastic feedback, it's very much appreciated ❤️😊
@@didymalgia May I suggest the song "It's a Long Way There" from Aussie group Little River Band...8 minutes of harmonies and musicianship that will add much joy to your musical journey..!
I’ve been so lucky to have seen Jimmy on many occasions.. he is a true legand…‼️ I love his voice 👌 the next legand I dare you to listen to is a member of Jimmys band “ Cold Chisel” it’s Ian Moss sing Bow River live of course Aussie bands are sooooo good 🇦🇺❤️thanks Didy
Just to add Jimmy also sings with the superstar of Australia John Farnham singing “Something is wrong with my baby” I think it could make your list too👌👌❤️if you listen to Bow River it will make you tap your foot for sure👌❤️there is a version on utube 15 years ago great harmonica playing great guitar Jimmy sings on it as well as it is from a Cold Chisel concert👌❤️
Yes yes ...barnsey is an australian icon.....next check out Jimmy Barnes and John Farnham together singing when something is wrong with my Baby...live version from hey hey it's Saturday.
Oh and yes I'm also an Aussie and will subscribe if you react to John Farnham with Jimmy Barnes. I'm sure once you hear that you'll be off on John as well .Australia's 2 biggest superstars. You wont regret it. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9H0aHyjzWsQ.html
That was Jimmy Barnes in his 60's. If you want to hear Jimmy in his 20's, you can't do much better than to react to Jimmy's band Cold Chisel doing THE BEST EVER COVER of the much covered "Wild Thing". Cold Chisel's performance is without a doubt the WILDEST ever cover of a rock anthem.
Jimmy is one of the best rock / Hard rock singers ever. But because he is an aussie he gets overlooked. everyone he has worked with in the work says the same.
Another trek you’ll be glad to go on is to finding out about, listening to, Australian singing groups and individuals. You’ll be angry...the music goes back to the start, and it was probably kept from your airwaves too. I know when I lived there even AFN didn’t play’em. But there were a few Australian artists on the AFN, The Bee Gees cover of ‘Oh Darling’, Olivia Newton John, but generally not many.
Epic is the correct word for this magical collaboration between these two amazing performers. Jimmy Barnes is a real soul/blues/rock belter, very soulful whether he is alone or with some of his partners in song : Tina Turner (Simply the Best*), Keith Urban (Good Times*), or another great with Bonamassa is the cover of "Lazy" by Deep Purple. Joe Bonamassa is one of the greatest blues guitars out there today IMO. You MUST watch the video of Joe with Beth Hart singing "I'd rather go Blind" - goosebumps, then weeping at the beauty of it - I guarantee. For another epic Soul/blues/rock singer you should check out Steve Marriott with Humble Pie playing "I Wonder" - weeping guitar solo, deep, soulful harmonica and Steve's legendary vocals. I'm sure you will love it.
Billy Thorpe- children of the corn, somewhere over the rainbow, it’s almost summer, since you’ve been gone and many more. That guy is one of Australia’s most under rated singers in my opinion.
Cheers mate I knew you would like it. The Guy Sebastion song was the first reaction I watched from you and I thought that man is a Jimmy Barnes fan he just doesn't know it yet. I'm wrapped that I got to introduce you to him. Jimmy was around 60 year's old there so imagine his pipes 20 to 30 years ago. If I may I would suggest you check out one from the eighties when he was an out and out Rocker try Driving Wheels. As promised I am now subscribed. Thanks again 👍
You did me great there... Thanks mate ❤️ It won't be the last of him here on the channel. I need to get more songs from him on my playlist so i can listen to it :)
@@didymalgia he has a huge catalog of song's from his day's as lead singer of the band Cold Chisel from the early 70,s to early 80,s then a 40 year solo career doing flat out Rock and then Soul and Blues. He is the only person in Australia to sell more Albums in this country than the Beatles. Here is a small list of song's you might want to check out. Working class man, heart of mine, when the war us over, River Deep, Hell broke Lucy. That's a look at song's from different decade's of his career.
@@didymalgia you might be interested in checking out Jimmy Barnes's Daughter Mahalia Barnes singing Riding with the kings with Joe Bonamassa. Mahalia has an incredible voice also Nasty Girl with the Soul Mates.
Nice, Didy. I’ve got this song in my personal play list and my Spotify list. I’m a huge blues lover and I have several of Joe’s albums. I recommend that you check his collaboration with outstanding blues singer, Beth Hart. Jimmy was 65 in this performance. He’s got the consummate blues voice. Joe is just ridiculously talented. He makes his guitar speak to us.
I m an Aussie and i ve subscribed after this. He has so many songs . Try " when something is wrong with my baby " with john farnham. His duet " simply the best " with tina Turner. His duet with Micheal hutchence" good times" .
I m highlighting Jimmy Barnes. So the video fr the song is great , with the bar style set. Farnham with MSO is great. He's a good singer wth great range. However I m more of a Jimmy Barnes fan.
I’m watching this again. It’s not just music for your ears, it’s music not only for your soul, it runs gently through your veins then it wakes you up and moves around like a dancer through your whole body. Does that sound dumb lol? That’s how this song and music makes me feel.
@@didymalgia not to everyone. I’ve asked, some only hear it in their ears. We had girls fun weekend away, hubbies left home lol. We were dancing, I was doing cha cha and giggling. One girl couldn’t, she only heard it, I tapped the beat on her back a few times and said, now feel the music inside. Honestly her eyes opened wide and she said, wow I can feel music inside. So we all cha cha’d around the holiday house we rented lol
Wow. This is pure excellence, both vocally and musically. Got another Jimmy Barnes one that you're going to appreciate. And since Im an Oz expat, now an Ozwegian, youll only lose half an Oz subscriber if you DONT react to it 🤣🤣 Its with Josh Teskey and its called Do you love me.
Great reaction mate just got another subscriber from Aus, Yes Jimmy is Aussie legend, should listen to some Cold Chisel that was his band. Start with Bow River live. Cheers
Try any Joe Bonamasa performance. His guitar playing is other worldly. See him with Beth Hart. Or his acoustic performances at Carnegie Hall. All mind numbingly good.
Hi Diddy as another Australian subscriber I love your interest in Australian music...I asked for Guy Sebastian and I'm hoping for more...but with this reation with JImmy I Joe, I noticed your playing the 'air' drums lol Well the drummer here is Jimmy's son... Jimmy is such a legend here...he's still making the best music and doing 'live' shows...Great reaction so thanks again...
Welcome to Australia! Love your reaction. I’m already subscribed from Australia, and please please listen to anything John Farnham! You have no idea the journey if you take it….lol
Subbed. You will now have a few more Aussie subscribers. How about some Hoodoo Gurus or perhaps the Drones. Plus all the other suggestions in the comments are great too.
I could tell from the first few seconds watching your face you were going to like it. Everyone has said everything about Jimmy and Joe, except Jimmy’s daughter Mahalia Barnes . I’ll do the same deal, I’ll subscribe if u review Mahalia.has amazing soul when she sings with Joe playing. No, I’ll subscribe right now. For some reason her name isn’t mentioned, song is Riding With The Kings. Short dark hair, can’t miss her or her voice. I noticed someone mentioned John Farnham, his reviews get stacks of likes from Aussies because he’s brilliant too, review and the Aussie will come and subscribe 👍
Joe obviously American - But Jimmy is legendary in Australia - rock front man of band Cold Chisel, solo career and in his mid 60's is still currently doing concerts at the moment - listened to him for over 40 years
You made me an extended list, i really like that. Thank you 💕 As i have explained, my head was not working at all that day. It's not too many years since I went to an ACDC concert for gods sake.. lol 😂😂
Ok here’s a suggestion. The guitarist you mentioned, Joe Bonamassa, is one of the world greats! Look on your internet, Joe Bonamassa w/Jane Pauly. Early 80’s. Joe was a kid star in the USA. At 12 he toured w/ and opened for B.B. King, Buddy Guy and more. He was 12, 13, years old. Joe writes albums of music. He’s written half a dozen, dozens...or close to it, record albums. The deeper you dig, the more you’ll want to keep on digging into Joes music.
I saw somebody's comment suggesting you listen to Tina Arena (and a thousand other Aussie artists haha) but I think if you could listen to her live performance of "Chains", I think it was at the VMA's? Or world music awards maybe, you might like it, an R&B major hit from the 90's... And then there's an incredible artist still performing to this day Matt Corby does an incredible stripped jazz type rendition of it live on Triple J's Like a Version segment on their radio channel. If you could watch both in one video I would love that as would many Aussie's!! You might really be impressed!!! Big love from your newest favourite fan mate 🤘🏽🤘🏽
You have not heard the best yet. We have John Farnham, Tina Arena, Mahalia Barnes, Vanessa Amorosi, Delta Goodrem, Dami Im, Jessica Mauboy. In fact, all Jimmy's family are fantastic artists. The list goes on and on. Enough to keep you happy and busy for a long time. Just subscribed today but looking forward to a lot more. And yes, I am an Aussie. 🦘🦘🪃🪃👍👍😉😉
Please go down the Bonomassa rabbit hole. Jimmy Barnes' daughter Mahalia Barnes is one of Bonomassa backup singers on tour and albums. Anything with Joe Bonomassa and singer Beth Hart is Life Changing. For a great first look at Joe Live anything off his Live from the Greek Theater is phenomenal!
Joey B is from the States, NY to be specific.... Old school R+B at it's best! This is what you get if you cloned Otis Redding, Al Green and Screamin' Jay Hawkins, in one dude....
If no one has told you already you need to listen to cold chisel, Jimmy Barnes was the singer for this band before going solo. Australia has some of the best bands/vocals in the world. Just come across this and will happily subscribe, just keep listening to Australian music YOU WILL LOVE IT
LOL it takes a special kind of modern era adult male to stand in front of a camera while he hears axe master Joe Bonammasa put his spotless emotional noise on a soulfull howl from a voice only Jimmy Barnes can put into a mic. The horns, the B3 variation keys, and a well tuned skins kit timed with smooth Rumble of a great Baseline, not many guys would expose themselves to this kind of vulnerability that most of us from the most down to earth too the least sensible derelict pieces of crap on the planet, wouldn't have the hormonal fortitude to do voluntarily, especially for the simple entertainment of a random audience who isn't likely to be an emotional bag of pudding along with you as the song plays through.. men don't bond that way but those of us secure in our personal social choices have the courage to say good job. I'm not sure what the value is with this video outside of entertaining and of course with the music it's also entertaining LOL loved it. Joe Bonamassa is a household name in American music with any fan who likes adult contemporary Blues Soul Blues rock and roll or just masterful guitar work in general. But for some odd reason Jimmy Barnes is relatively unknown in the states and while he may sell plenty of recordings here it's under the wire because he gets no commercial exposure at all. And I'm okay with that knowing he's wildly successful and even more popular than the Beatles Down Under. I don't want to hear him on the radio or in a Super Bowl commercial. He's too good to trivialize with that kind of b*******. Good luck to you brother
I’ll subscribe too if you keep doing our brilliant Aussie artists 😂 Jimmy Barnes (or his old band Cold Chisel), John Farnham, Guy Sebastian, Matt Corby.. also thanks for this reaction ❤️
Hi from Australia, can you Please Please react to Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa performing ( Lazy ) a Deep Purple song. If you really liked Jimmy Barnes and Joe Bonamassa singing Stone Cold then you will be BLOWN AWAY with this version of LAZY the Deep Purple song, trust me please you will love it.🇦🇺
You really need to listen to Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa doing I'd Rather Go Blind. Make sure to get the Live From Amsterdam version. If you are not as blown away by this performance as the one we just listened to, I will be shocked.
