@@andromidius True! I made it sound like I’ve been gone for a while, but it’s only been three weeks. I was playing SoD, but watching this makes me miss the new world.
Then you go back, have a great first month and feel overwhelmed (or bored AF) when you're down to dailies and leveling. Loved DF but I literally lost all drive once it got to the RNG Dailies for rep.
@@nathanwinters2400 you dont need to do them bro. its just cosmetics / completion. the core gameplay is excellent. i love the state of it. i havent been subbed straight this long in a while
@@wm1573 The daily crap isn't just cosmetic or completion if you want to see story that is locked behind a "progression" wall of Rep. And one of the worst experiences in the game is still leveling to see current-day content. I'd rather see it improved then ignore it since making content that ends up obsolete is a waste of resources and damages a product in the long-term. Great example: I was leveling in Kul Tiras. The difficulty is non-existent which makes the game-play loop boring for a good while. During a part of the Faction War Questline (something I never finished bc I hated the story beats with my whole heart) I ran at a Gnome Spider-Tank. It was greyed out in level at this point but I want to see what I wrote off back during BFA. Fun Fact: at the time I was playing in DF the Spider-Tanks ability "Machine Gun" was not scaled down so my pet was ripped through in seconds and bc the ability is channeled it also ignored my feign death and instant killed me. BFA content was not that long ago. Example Two: many cutscenes in Shadowlands crash the game for multiple players. Blizzard's official answer is to disable addons-- great. Except I don't use addons and it crashed the game. The only way for me to progress was to rapid-click escape before the audio would play, wait about 30 seconds in real-world time for the black screen to go away, and then continue like normal. As I said, current-day content is good. It's daily systems need to be looked at moving forward as making former patches pointless but still giving them story-beats and being on one of the most populated servers the zones like The Forbidden Reach being dead is a great way to make people think that the game isn't doing that great as most players will always take things at face value. Leveling is also terrible from starting which is NEEDED to teach new players the ropes and get them into the game-- yet so many zones are NOT properly scaled to the point that you're either bored to tears murdering everything or getting one-shot by something that shouldn't even be able to do so. DF overall was good. I didn't care for the fumble that was the story at the end, but playing Evoker was really fun and the zones and most of their stories were good. Cool? Cool.
I think you're missing an opportunity here. Everyone else I've seen do this (WoW version or regular) actively involves the audience. It's the participation that makes it fun. I don't know how it's done, but I watched a streamer playing regular Geoguesser (during covid) with the audience, and our guesses showed up on the map and tallied our scores right along with his. It was good a good time, full of laughs.
38,043 I will always struggle with locations on Pandaria, Draenor, and Shadowlands in this game (fortunately didn't get any SL this time, but zero pointed a Draenor one by thinking it was the other Nagrand) so this is a pretty good score for me
