I helped manage a private ffxi server and we had plenty of tools to detect cheaters. The idea that a mega corporation can't is laughable. I have been convinced for over a decade that the companies are involved.

You have to realize that if Blizzard banned all the bots they would loose all their subscription money etc. In addition they would have to pay people to ban the bots. I was 14 doing around 2k per month with Lineage 2, and i was a newbie botting, imagine in korea and china. Blizzard wants RMT to exist because it keeps playerbase happy. oh and i reinforce it, its not manually farmed, NONE OF IT. This is why ESO probably made a skill that you can put champions points to so you can get 7% more gold every level you raise it. You don’t start getting champions points until you max out your standard level. It gives people an incentive to grind.

Little late, but wanted to clear up misconceptions here. As usual, both assmon & the "gold seller" in the original video are missing a lot of details & exaggerating greatly. First of all, the guy never made millions selling gold. 2ndly, they didn't expose anything. They actually got SHUTDOWN by blizzard and then tried to go on a smear campaign against them....which also was ultimately useless & accomplished nothing. But of course, because it is fashionable to "lol hate blizzard", a lot of idiots watched their video & didn't think twice. If you actually do a little research, you'd know what really happened. But I don't expect many people watching this video to be smart enough to do that either.

Seems like an easy fix.... buy the gold... trace it.... ban every account it touched. Rinse... repeat.... boom done. Side note also.... i think if you farm gold legit you should be able to sell it. Ban the bot farms.

Maybe its a bit Tinfoil hat to say but, I'd not doubt that a Gold Seller making that much (Allegedly), money monthly doesn't just contact what few Blizz Gm's exist, or even some support staff, and just pay them off. Like, you never worry about getting banned if you never have the attention of the system you know? "Dude that guy is literally just fly hacking?" Said the player to the GM. "HUH? No that's just lag, restart your game." Replied the GM. I mean hell, Zack and several other strimmers have proven that even Blizz's Auto-Mod System is hot booty. It takes their 5-10k Viewer bases reporting them (At their command) to get the Auto-Mod to wake up long enough to Sneeze out a third of it's computing power to even warn them let alone properly ban them. One person going 'Oh that's a bot *Clicks report*' is about as effective as the Puts stick in Bike spokes meme. So some underpaid, under appreciated, job constantly on the edge of the chopping block because "its not profitable for us to keep you as staff" GM, would likely have no issues taking a 5k-15k+ hand out to look away from the screen every other month.

What AsmonBald does not get is that huge amount of extra Gold cause Artificial Inflation, meaning anything Legit a common player do worth nothing now, it forces them to buy WoW Token. Assuming those are veteran players and spending all extra money on WoW Tokens. 172,2 - 159,4 = 12.8 million $ per 3 months sunk in official way. 20$ per wow token means 640,000 Wow Tokens used for buying game Gold. Effectively means flooding the game with 4,7 billion Gold every season, 1,5 billion gold every month. It's Kotik incentive to flood the game with extra gold, so normal players will buy WoW Tokens when they need in game Gold.

We sold carries for real money and in-game Gil in FF14 in 2.xx-3.55 and I was the solo healer. In 2.xx, we had T13 down to a four-man and we could carry four people at a time. Square knew exactly who we were and didn't give a single shit aboot it. NCsoft, with Lineage 2, though, was busted multiple times for running gold selling websites back in the day. They actually had the gold selling websites listed as a subsidiary...TWICE...before they realized it was an admission of guilt.

Minimum wage in Brazil is around 1200 reais. 1 dollar is worth like 5 reais around that , just do the math, playing wow gives much more money than a 44 hour week job. He is right, and Tbh brazil like have a pretty steedy economy bad as that sound, imagine venelueza, argentina, bolivia, whos have a VERY FUCKED economy, WoW is paying more then half of the jobs in those countrys.

RMT has been a problem almost as long as MMOs have existed. I remember a story where some moron paid $30,000 for a stupid sword in Everquest. When I played Final Fantasy 11, the RMT business was exclusively Chinese. They would farm NMs (Notorious Monsters). FFXI had a claim system where the first person to take an offensive action on a mob had claim to it so only the person/party who had claim to it could attack it, and get drops from it. I used to make it a fun pastime to harass RMTs by claiming the NMs they were camping, or if they had claim on one, I'd train a huge group of aggro mobs to them with a low level character and die right next to them so the mobs would swarm them. Square-Enix later made it so unclaimed aggro mobs that were a certain distance from their spawn point would despawn, but it was fun while it lasted.

This Gold Flood isnt defensible in any way. Im leveling a character in classic (vanilla) wow atm and joined a guild. When i hear them talk about things related to items its always about horrendous amounts of gold when they are pugging. Like 5k for a good sword… like wtf…. Even in Wrath back in the days, 5k werent that easy to come by. It was at least like a week or so of playing (in my case) as a casual. And in classic ??? Like 100k gold for a good sword in naxxramas. Those are amounts way beyond the average player ever had in classic. Most of them were happy to even get the epic mount. This goes so far that i dont even know if i want to get max level. Because all my efforts arent worth in any way if i dont buy gold on a shady website. Blizzard fucked up big time. Azamous did expose videos with proof of those botters way back in 2019 and blizz didnt care. Why should they now ? 😓

hmm, RMT in Albion online was more interesting, its less but its not done by bots but by uber rich motherfuckers who just lift there pinky finger and turn 10 billion silver into 200 billion silver. one of these RMTers was or is a man named Syndic, the current leader of the . . . . TERRA alliance? idk they used to be called POE, and they where a HUGE alliance of slaves. Basically they had like 3 -5 guilds with a . . . . "Strong" pvp force so they can conquer and hold a large chunck of land and then rent that land out to smaller guilds so they can set up Hideouts for there people and these then play normaly, make money and pay like 10 - 20 mil per week depending on how many they are and how good they are what level the zone is etc. Syndic made so much money of this he could live of it without a problem, ofc that didnt last, people hated POE cause they sucked ass, so the great POE war cam about, and many smaller ones befor that, several big boy zvz guilds marched against POE, on the front lines there was Elevate hands down the best guild to ever exist, some others i forgor, the chinese who mainly focused to fuck over ARCH, who where an alliance of rats and mice, little critters that dont pose much of a threat but are nasty pests that overwealm you with numbers. I was in Tidal, the leading guild of SURF at the time, and we marched accross the intire game map just to take part in like 30 min battle, everyone stuck there dick in back then. Now syndics empire is but a shadow of its former self and doesnt do much anymore.

Here's some insider knowledge I shouldn't be talking about but now idgaf anymore. The fact nobody stops to think maybe blizzard is well aware and even running a majority of these gold selling websites blows my mind. Why would they do this? Profit, Taxes, lucrative money, etc etc. You're crazy if you think a game developer behemoth like blizzard doesn't have a chokehold on every aspect of their merchandise and brand. Even if this gets exposed, they aren't breaking any laws selling their own digital game currency to customers. Heard it here first.

Honest question though, how many people DO actually care about botting/RMT'rs? they can live in their own world. You can still enjoy games SSF or playing legit. I quit MMO's because i get bored, not because of botters. But maybe I'm in the minority?

this is how broken WoW and blizzard is, this is why you do not give your money to blizzard anymore, its not worth it, private servers are literally a better experience than retail / classic wow servers owned by blizzard, in warmane they do ban waves everyday towards bots/gold bots and ninja looters. if you wanna play wow, get on a private server, or make an offline server, i play wotlk offline, and i dont miss people or blizzard.
