WoW Legion 7.3.5 Frost DK Obliteration PvE Guide
My official guide for the Obliteration Frost DK build in patch 7.3.5. I know I haven't made many videos lately but I am back on the grind and glad about it. Thank you very much to BanterDK, Herodamage, and the whole Acherus community for the help and resources they provide and Banter specifically for vetting the information in the video. I have many other Death Knight and general raiding videos planned for this week and the weeks to come. I wanted to wait to make this guide till we knew all the information about the spec. If you have any questions that I didn't answer in the video, post them down below.

Can you post your Damage Numbers addon aswell as any import string? Coming back to WoW and this was the first guide i saw for DK's. Very well put together.

Hahaha, great guide Abyssal. Always like seeing a detailed guide. Much love from Ryvr-Silvermoon, the shitty 10th best server DK. Just out of Curiosity; have been experiencing much lower opener proc rate of concordance/unh str on mythic bosses like Imonar and PK, whereas in Hc it’s almost 100% guaranteed to all overlap within your first PoF, have you noticed this at all too?

Nice Vid! Also I don't know if you're going to make a M+ guide, but if you're not is there any staple trinks in M+? Like Umbral Moonglaives are the biggest example, or is it just raw ilvl/stat upgrade trinkets you would use. Cheers

i wouldn't say this is in depth, but it is very informative. I would suggest also adding stat priority, your gear choice, gems and enchants and possibly BiS. Good video but "in-depth" enough

About the trinkets....you can't use Kaz'goroths and Aman Thul's at the same time...so...yaknow. Also I found gorshlach to be decent in M+s

Thanks for the tips! I main a blood DK, but usually PvP on a warlock. But i really want to get any titles and mounts i may get on my main. Don't know much about the DK's dps specs, so this video is helpful!

Ok, you say that Tauren is best for a Horde DK for the +2% Crit. How does that stack up an Orc DK with Blood Fury? I would tend to believe the Blood fury every 2 mins would be better, but IDK. Can anyone do the sim on that? Thx!

I do appreciate your in depth look into things so please take this as just criticism. Garothi's ability is physical, not magical and it will kill or majorly hurt you. Also chances are shattering strikes is not a dps upgrade unless you are using the lego belt or have HUGE amounts of haste on top of T21. Also running frostscythe over gathering storm is usually ideal. GT only pulls ahead in STRICTLY single target situations. just look at the sim difference in damage between single and cleave and the minimal difference in single target damage vs the huge difference in cleave/aoe. ABT is 50/50 in fight types so either is viable but for 80% of wow dk life, scythe pulls ahead. Also if using shattering strikes, you prioritize procs over using the 5 stacks of strikes.

If this is an obliteration guide why is there no mention of where we should use obliteration? I don't mean to sound pretentious but it seems like something that I would personally benefit from and I'm sure others would as well.

So just to clarify, if you've got three runes available and you get a killing machine proc, you're always holding that proc until you have at least four runes available?

Not entirely, but I understand where the confusion comes from. The idea of using KM at 4 "or more" runes is that you HAVE to use it at that point to prevent capping runes. Generally, you can should use KM as soon as available. Do keep in mind the minmaxxing of remorseless winter though; if remorseless has 1, maybe 2 seconds left on its cooldown and you have a few runes coming back up, don't spend them all on KM and THEN pop remorseless, but wait for remorseless first and then combine those KM procs for swift gathering storm stacks.

Well I have just been struggling with being both RP and rune starved at times during fights. I know that due to the rng of the spec that it does happen sometimes, but it seems to happen to me quite often. My theory is that it's probably poor resource management on my part so I've been looking at some guides to just try to get a better of idea. I run about 35% haste and 25% crit but seem to be starved for rp or runes often. In the heroic/normal fights it's not as big a deal as our kill time is generally much shorter but in our mythic pulls, it seems to be a big problem and it's causing a lot of blue parses. Just kind of struggling to find out where I'm going wrong at this point. Good guide and I appreciate the replies from you and PROMETHEAN.

Didn't see a stat priority. Even tho frost likes most stats i've heard haste is top, but only slightly.

What you linked is class popularity among 6/11+ mythic raiders, which doesn't give us what is actually best, just what's most popular.

No need to be rude, just saying that site only shows percentage of people playing while herodamage shows the dps increase from each race. I showed in the video the top 3 races dps increase wise based on the current Frost DK obliteration build. It's commonly known that humans and blood elves are the most popular classes but they aren't the highest dps racials for Frost DK Obliteration build.
