I was 12years old when I danced to this song at my junior high school dance. I apologize to the young lady I danced with for stepping on her feet numerous times 😂 New Edition is my favorite group and I hope you enjoy your time discovering more from them. Try their songs "I'm Coming Home" and "Boys to Men" from the same album Heartbreak

This was the year that New Edition went head to head with Bobby Brown's Don't Be Cruel Album. I still remember as really good days in my early 20's. You should check out Johnny Gil's music before New Edition. The song Half Crazy and his duets with Stacy Lattisaw Perfect Combination. Both Johnny and Stacy grew up together an were big in my city of Washington, D.C. in the 80's.

🤣 You are too funny. This song is amazing. I totally understand getting giddy over it. Classic R&B will *always* hold a special place in my heart. It's what I grew up on and I honestly turned away from for a few years in my early 20s, but I came right back around. Great stuff that I'll treasure forever.

You are listening to The First "Boy Band" for the Video Generation. Next year will be 40 Years since they started out. These guys would be the Prototype for every Boyband Black/White US/UK that came after them. This Video was recorded after Bobby Brown got Fired and they went through just as much as other Boy Bands. Even to this day they never fully enjoyed the fruits of their labors. After their First Manager Maurice Starr "Lost" them, he created a White Version of them which of course was New Kids On The Block. Donnie Wahlberg often said "Were It Not For Them, There Wouldn't Be Us!" After they became successful Nigel Martin created a UK Boy Band called Take That and then there were so many that came after them, Five, 911, A1, and One Direction. In Ireland it was Boyzone and one of the members had Twin Sisters who were in B*witched. & Westlife (who did Duets with both Diana Ross & Mariah Carey). One of them Brian McFadden was married to Kerry Katona of Atomic Kitten. Michel Bivins "created" Boyz To Men and New Edition also kicked the door for the Harmonizin Homeiz Groups like 112, Jodeci, Dru Hill, Five, and Blackstreet. In The UK Boyz To Men are "Legends" and everytime a Boyband audition they talk about how much Boyz To Men influenced them.

My wife and I went to see that Best Man movie. I remember watching that scene where the actors lip synced to this song. I started singing along and so did my wife. But before the song was over almost the whole theater was singing along. A truly magical moment.

On this song the group was first merging Johnny with new edition he and Ralph's voice mesh so beautifully together . You can also react to the their latest singles , Johnny Gill song ,(Perfect) featuring Ralph Tresvant and Ralph's single (All Mine) featuring Johnny Gill , They're both hits in my opinion .To give you more insight on the group they did a three series biopic on their life story they were all involved in the making which they stated was very true and honest about thier lives and too Bobby Brown made a movie of himself about his life. Movies can be found on BET network . These guys are legends they've been in the business for forty years. Theirs history behind this song for all the guys ,sure the song entail them singing to a woman but when Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis wrote this song the members in the group was going through turmoil and those words was meant for them as men , friends and brothers as far as having each other's back. The movie and recent and old interviews speak to this when Johnny first joined the group.

Johnny’s last name is with a ‘G’, Gill. His joining New Edition after Bobby Brown left marked their transition to maturity, wit a trained grown man voice in there. I believe Ralph’s last name does pronounce the ‘S’.
