We live in Western Pa. and Have around 100 Acres of Land, About 1/2 is ours the rest is my moms, We have 4 kids and two grandchildren, 3 Golden Retrievers and one Cat. We enjoy working on our property and making improvements. We sell firewood and soon will be selling hardwood lumber.

I know, let's rearrange some dirt lol! Enjoyed breaking in the new "dirt rearranger" with you. Man and his machines. My what we have learned to do with tools and machinery. And these days we hardly break a sweat doing it. Relatively speaking of course. We live in a wonderful time. Now if we could just rid the world of chaos and hate so that we could all enjoy our accomplishments. What a wonderful world it could be! (There's a song in there somewhere.)

i was acclly looking at a new svl97-2 and the kubota was the cheapest then any other brand out there wiche my kubota dealer wanted $50,100 for the 97.2hp svl 97-2 with buckets and forks and cat here wanted $96,989 for there 69hp wich rediculas and and $2,100 extra for the bucket and forks

BirdYoumans, Agreed - We had it made up to the '70s. Nam changed that in my opinion, it changed the people's attitude toward this country. The old saying WE the people got changed to WE the privileged. I pray every day for us to go back to the '40s '50s (my time) '60/ '69. The be KIND time. What President Kennedy asked of us never happened? So sad!

@@chris3m98 Lot of truth in what you are saying. I'm 77 and was so fortunate to be raised in what I consider the USA's golden age. I fear we can never go back now. Politics and Religion (and I say this as a Christian by the way) has so divided us into us or them it's sad. No two people ever agree on everything, but that doesn't mean we can't be friends and care for the human race. Sigh..........

I'm about 100 hours into my SLV-95 and share your sentiments. When you look for new forks, make certain they are pass through which allows old-man ingress-egress from the cockpit.

Thumbs up on eliminating the back up alarm. Now with the skid steer when you get ready to remove the sod it should come right up and away.

Been away for awhile concentrating on some Convoyers doin' "things". Results in not doin' the things here on the homestead. Definitely needed me some Morgan Magical Inspiration to refocus. Sweet Kubota machinery +skilled Mike operator=good results. Thanks to the Morgans for all they do!!!

Mike, now this is what I was talking about the other day[yesterday]. grading at its finest. Moved a bunch in just a short time and raised your grade at end of run what 2 - 2 -1/2 feet? That is a fast machine you have. Well done Mike Morgan, well done. Not a "New" machine anymore there now quite your smiling at it. Have a safe day out there but have fun too.

Enjoyed the presentation & camera work as well as the editing, and the host was pretty good too, a pleasure to watch a skilled operator enjoying the work and respecting their equipment he/she has to work with . Nice first project for the SVL-97! It occurs to me that you could get that back into the timber during the wet season, and much faster than walking the excavator in and out. Good looking machine, and it appears to work as good as it looks.

Something you might experiment with is to run a couple loops of old logging chain across the back of the bucket, pinned up on the corners. It keeps the back of the bucket from caking up like that, and when it clangs it gives you an auditory cue that the bucket is empty. I discovered this by accident with my skid loader. See if it works for you. :)

Doesn't help much in sticky clay soil. We did that for production loading in SoCal and it worked ok because it a lean clay. Doesn't help on wet fat clays.

Great work you have got the hang of using the SVL already I fill the bucket and back drag it to fine grade it works well. Put a coat of wax on it asap . Keep up the great work

You did a really nice job first time on the machine.... also I was told to dig over the idelers rather than the sprockets whenever possible. Minimizes wear on the sprockets. Great job.

Yes i did an entire video on that before, reason I didn't do it here was because i kept the blade on the downhill side to level up machine some and keep it from sliding around on the wet grass
