@Zharas Kerimbay What a logically sound, high IQ conclusion. You ever think that maybe, just maybe the reason Alliance players turn warmode off, is that the Horde outnumbers them on the majority of servers and it's just not fun getting ganked 5 to 1 on your own continent right next to your capital when you are just trying to do world quests?
@Zharas Kerimbay Not everyone has infinite free time, nor does everyone have an affinity for suffering. If you like to do it then go right ahead, make your life miserable for an xp and currency boost, but I'd say calling a group of people pussies for having lives and valuing their time is dumb at the very best. And that is without mentioning the current state of pvp (you know, what this video is about) or the simple fact that some people just don't like pvp in general and are in it for the pve content.
@Lenz C Remember, the Activision takeover reduced staffing, fired/laid off the old guard and recruited new people, making everything much much less efficient. Atm yes, Blizzard is like a small indie company. it's a mess
It’s simple --- Pve gear for player vs environment Pvp gear for player vs player arena Wpvp gear ^^( mix and match the two ) -- Sombody such as myself hates hates pve, cause it gets boring doing the same shit over and over and over. And there’s people like myself who just want to play a game which is player vs player ( get pvp gear for pvp ) not farm pve for pvp...
The people who could make games are long gone from blizz. These guys haven't got a clue how to fix pvp. The content creators for the quests and the graphic designers are good btw props to them. The main story though is donkey shit.
It's all about that wow token money for getting $$$ from whales to get their gear boosts to feel strong. It's all calculated they don't give a shit about pvp or their players.
its the worst for PVE as well, if you wanna even have an attempt or find a group on the last boss (NOT LFR) then you need to get the legendary cape and level it up to at least rank 6 or 10-12 (for heroic) , and in order to do that you need to do assaults which are basically dailies, just so you can buy a fucking token to get into a 'horrific vision' which is a timed 1-5 man 'scenario' but blizz never explained any of it at all, oh and also not every class can solo it, so if you're a DK for example you're fine but a warlock or mage then you get fucked on and lose your currency so you have to find a group to do them, oh and it takes about 20-30 mins to find 4 other competent people who know what they are doing and also have the same perks on the titan console so you dont waste the sanity orbs at the wrong time. oh and guess what you needed 4 or 6 or 8 pages for each level upgrade for the cape but now blizz nerfed it so its only 2 pages per level now. so anyone who just grinded out 4-6-8 pages per level just gets shit on by blizz. thanks blizz. its the biggest fucking scam time gated bullshit they just dont have the balls to admit it. just like how they fucked up warcraft 3 refunded. garbage, not much hope for shadowlands at this rate either
When you actually think about it WOD pvp is one of the best era simply because of how cool classes where then imean come on who doesn't miss "final verdict"
But, at some point and for a period of time, they tried to fix. And this shit was all that they brought. Imagine what might come out for Shadowlands....
I actually quite liked legion pvp. Way closer games with the templates. Bfa is a mythic gear pvp show and wow pvp got sold out for corporate greed token buying.
@@cheetoh3149 i have liked every xpac so far i have played except bfa. Wrath to wod. They were all great. Bfa is the bonified sellout xpac with constant spammers for mythic and people buying tokens like hotcakes. Its gone full pay to win. The spell rotations are terrible, the raids are stupid, no pvp gear and pvp is whoever spams the most mythic 15 dungeons is ready to pvp lol which is completely stupid.
@@EddieJarnowski yeah it's terrible. I'd argue that classic is better balanced at this point tbh. I enjoyed my playtime from vanilla->wod too and quit playing other than to try legion and bfa. Hated everything they did to the gameplay in legion and won't come back unless they do a massive overhaul or reversal of the combat changes they did with that shitfest diablo expansion.
you waste an entire game playing like a god trying to avoid chaos while lock is just sitting in the middle of the arena with 700k heal and hella defensives and he just need to cast twice to fucking delete you, that's how game works atm
beatlikeboss And remember lock got nerfed quite a bit defensively, yet the games against them are still the same. BfA at this point is just one big meme. It’s an insult to ask for a monthly subscription for this utter trash game.
@@gspcro9047 in MoP at least every class was capable of bursting each other i cant think of a single dps spec that couldn't somewhat do this, maybe SV hunter? just go back to that design cus now if even one class is capable of bursting in that way every class feels its wrath and it makes everything feel so unbalanced, at least then someone bursts, use defensives, try and work around this happening etc. etc.
Missed the days whwre PvE Trinkets and PvE set items Bonuses are disabled in PvP... what is so hard about that... And yes, i am sure corruption is for pve only... not pvp
I think the problem is that the corruptions are just overtuned. Overall I have no problem with PvE stuff playing a role in PvP. It makes the game feel more complete. Otherwise PvP and PvE would be completly seperated. As long as those PvE items are tuned down in PvP combat it's good in my opinion.
@@kuhnandreas5694 yea.. before, the PvE's power are always tuned down in PvP... it is just this expansion, somehow the design team just went bleergh and just give out everything that would make the players "having fun" without actually thinking of the consequences.
i dont think taking away from the players is good design in any way. if people want to use certain pve items, let them. buff pvp items, not nerf the usage of pve items.
@@krippaxxuseredarlordofthes9940 Pussy pve player the best shit can happens in this game is just make a free to play WOWonlyPVP instant max level without gear only talents and builds with leagues in arenas rbg and full pvp outdoor to practice. And let this bitches who likes pve alone with the pve mode activated doing dungeons against a fucking npc and collecting mounts.
yesterday i played a 3s game at 2.2 vs dh/dk/mw, the dh was literally backpedaling trying to keep our team in from of him for td and he was doing 50k dps.. man, 50k dps from a guy with no clue on how to play the game. its really sad tbh, i miss the days when skill and outplays won you the game. idk what they are doing with WoW, but pvp has been dead for years now. i try to q for fun and help friends to get elite sets and stuff, but pvp is a waste of time and sanity
@@allarin1690 im just saying they on equal level bad... and about the random oneshot procc... i play classic believe it or not. and the random oneshot proccs happens alot more in that version of WoW then retail
@@Alpenmagier in what world? nobody is getting one shot from PROCS in classic outside of a warrior sword spec + hoj triple crit or reck pala bombs, both of which can be played around assuming you're not outgeared. There really aren't a whole lot of free damage procs in classic. if you are outgeared, then the situation isn't really comparable given how generous bfa is about keeping player stats so similar with equal gear. if you're somehow suggesting these wow "professionals" are just getting outgeared by their peers i'd suggest you maybe take a step back from the topic. the simple fact of retail pvp is that the only thing that matters, is what procs you have. not your skill. just procs.
@@TheOriginalLokisamyou just prove my point with your comment haha. also add shamans to that list ele/hance. saying you can play around random oneshots just show how dillusional you are
Absolute joke of a game designer. I was hoping for some of those DH screenshots from the tourney realm where 50% of their damage is just gushing wound, Samiyam as just one example.
A DK tank can AMS your tentacle and one-shot you with TD. Infinite Stars was literally gutted and left to bleed out by that change and you will never see stars in PvP again. All of the "problems" shown in the video have nothing to do with the 2 corruptions that were nerfed in that patch. The fact that you can watch this video and still think appendage is the problem rather than say; IT giving ret pals *mutiple* resets on HoJ during a single proc, IT giving prot pals 50% uptime on Seraphim, IT giving fire mages unlimited fireblasts, drest trink being overtuned, TD being TD, warlocks being warlocks... it's pretty telling how much arena you do right now. If you think that in current-patch you can win an arena in 36 seconds thanks to stacking Infinite Stars, then you aren't playing in current-patch.
@@graysaltine6035 Are you even surprised that people comment random shit that they find funny? Even though TD literally shitting on people is wayy funnier, doesnt surprise me.
TBH I can't even tell what is going on it PvP anymore. I remember in the old expansions things were imbalanced, but at least I could tell what was going on.
@@cheetoh3149 yeah i never understood why everyone was like "omg legion so good" must have just been because it was after wod but atleast wod didnt have pvp scaling, fucking pvp TEMPLATES(remember that fucking stupid ass shit?), and did have PVP VENDORS.
I can’t even play pvp whatsoever I have no idea why they even added the corruption system in the first place no one asked for it but thank god in shadowlands there will be no hoa or corruption
They're laughing at it. Half the people in the clips are multiple-time Blizzcon contenders or winners. Some of these games aren't even rated. The guardian dr00d immediately admitted he didn't even mean to kill both people with TD - how are any of them hyping up like they're good? And what makes you think these guys _aren't_ good? Do you really think Pika and Cdew are hard-carried by corruption? It's not like they can prevent their own RNG - do you want them to take all their corruption off to prove a point or something? I'm sure Pika could drop his appendage and unguent and still win games. I'm sure he could drop his drest and motorcycle trinks and still win games. Why though? The guy hit 3k rating this season but I'm sure it's 100% RNG that he did so, and the guy would be hard-stuck 1600 if not for twisted appendage /s With corruption vendors, anyone can have appendage. TD is on the vendor for literally the second time in 2 weeks. Anyone can join a heroic nya for a drest trinket. The only shit here that is actually broken in favour of specific characters is the "Ineffable truth > fist of justice > HoJ" interaction (the ret pal who HoJ'd 4 times in 10 seconds) which *is already hotfixed.* If everyone has access to the same "broken" corruptions, but only specific people are rising to the top of arena, then clearly those "broken" corruptions are not what is carrying them to that level. That's just logical deduction. If anything it's the baseline on specs like destro that is more broken than the corruption system could ever be.
@@graysaltine6035 I agree with you that these guys are good players. But I don't agree with you that the baseline of Specs is worse than Corruption. Corruption is just another RNG mechanic that has no place in pvp. I mean people watch these streamers because their good players and they make great plays. But now they can make great plays and an RNG proc may totally negate that play. Honestly if I was a streamer or a competitor in one of their tournaments I would be super pissed this was in pvp and would not be laughing but actually banding together to get this shit removed from pvp. And make no mistake about it, we're letting this go, there will be another RNG system similar to corruptions in the next expansion.
It's easy to hide how overpowered an RNG effect can be when it's accessible to everyone and sometimes it will carry you and sometimes it will carry the other guy. Arena is looking more and more like a game of Hearthstone, but stuff like unlimited HoJs and plain broken warlocks are consistently biased towards the same players and therefore a worse problem IMO. TD is the only rng damage proc left to be nerfed and I guarantee that it will be, and soon. As cloak levels get bigger (max of 125 corruption resistance by october) corruption will become more and more the focus of gearing, and there is no way TD is going to remain in its current state once people can safely stack 7 ranks of it. As far as corruption goes TD is the only one really in need of an inherent nerf - IT was only broken because of how paladin talents interacted with it and it's already fixed, and stuff like drest trinket is worse than corruptions IMO. Once they nerf TD, I guarantee 90% of the Arena community will be crying for destro nerfs within a week. Corruptions are as much a band-aid for baseline imbalance as they are a cause of imbalance themselves.
Since BC, PVE gear has been mandatory for some classes (warriors, rogues, Hpal...) so you could have some needed burst. But never ever, itemizing full PVP has been this much disadvantage, going 465 full PvP at this moment means max rating 1800. It's so frustrating i dont even play arenas anymore
i played bfa since the start of the expension, i get glad season 1 and season 3 but this season i said to myself i cant do this shit anymore, this is worst then malevolent.
Gone are the days where it's just your class vs the other class, now it's trinkets vs trinkets and azerite abilities vs azerite abilities and in the new expansion it will be the same trashy bullshit. So glad I quit this game.
So what's with the paladin in the clast clip casting HoJ every few seconds? Is that solely the corruption that reduces your cooldowns for a few seconds or am I missing something?
Yeah but you can't do it anymore. It was on the Corruption vendor thing for a week so you could buy it and stack it. If you missed out you have to wait another 4 or 5 weeks till the vendor sells it again.
GerzyCZ that’s a legitimate reason to be fair. The question is why didn’t they disable it when 8.3 was just released. The answer is simple, they want players to play more, grind more, extend more subs to show their investors and most fun of all, load up on those BoE so those who wants it buys token and enrich Blizzard’s pocket, PvP and PvE. Players have given feedback to corruption in PvP during the beta, hell, even the PvE players have given feedback about the RNG heavy nature of corruption, Blizzard went ahead anyway. This is the only reasonable explanation.
The real reason is pretty simple: that would just change the problem instead of actually fixing PVP. Healing is INSANELY overpowered right now and corruptions are kind of like armor pen in S3/S4 that sort of balanced out how strong healing was because of resilience. Now we have versatility which healers literally get EVERY benefit from (more damage, more healing, less damage taken). Look at some of the AWC commentary from high rated players (pikaboo has one about the tournament Golden Guardians got 2nd in) and a lot of matchups are literally "sit around and try to stay out of combat until dampening is 40%, then play". And that's WITH BIS corruptions. Remove corruptions and DPS will be affected much more heavily than healers and suddenly every match is literally just "screw around until 50% dampening, then mana war between healers".
I can’t tell if I don’t want to arena this season because I don’t wanna be one shot or if I want to arena this season so that I can one shot.... decisions
Yeah you can stack like 240% CD reduction with them. Cdew tried it on tourny realms and was able to reduce HoJ cd by 40 seconds with a single judgement.
You're not missing much. Sad to say that the same shenanigans can be seen in PvE too. People thinking 50k (no corruptions is LOW dmg) getting freaking 300-450k dps in groups that stack tanks. The more tanks you have, the more health you have, the more procentage of that health you do as dmg. It's ludicrous.
Honestly every pvp player called it "if corruption perks are allowed in pvp its gonna be broken". Its pretty entertaining to see but completely undermines the whole competitive idea behind pvp
Stacking Twilight Devastation on a tank: Your attacks have a chance to trigger a beam of Twilight Devastation, dealing damage equal to 18.00% of your health to all enemies in front of you. Probably like 3 pieces of gear with this :D
@@ahmedbinshams488 Yeah it can, 1 piece with 18% already does about 200k damage and the percentage stacks up additively. On the other hand, it's still pure rng for him to proc it before he dies himself from running such insanely high corruption. He has to get it right at the start or within his cloak use effect or he's just dead.
There has never once been a truly well balanced PvP mode in any RPG ever. There’s simply way too much loot and classes and stats to properly balance. Why are people still complaining about lack of balance? Its to be expected
It’s not the balance as such. It’s the stupid random procs from corruption which you get from stupid random drops on gear, then must have trinkets from raids that hit you for half your health. It’s no longer about skill so much as it’s about broken items.
It's not just that, if you use a high amount of ineffable truth then use the talent that takes 10 sec away from the cd every time you judgement you can hoj 3+ times in 10 seconds, since the cd recovery proc also affects your judgement. So the cooldown reduction affects your hoj and affects the thing that reduces hoj's cooldown itself too.
@Joshua Johnstone 2:20 the dk was me and the pally was a good friend of myn. When we where doing arena we saw we where facing pika and we both just busted up cause we knew we where going to be on a clip.
I quit in S12 (like 8 years ago) when hunter pets were one shotting people for the entire season. Honestly though the game hasn't even been remotely playable since S10. I came back at the start of BFA for a few weeks and can honestly say the average player is about 50% worse than late-wrath. People complain, but outside of twitch $treamers there doesn't seem to have been really any real competitiveness on the ladder for a decade.. I'm surprised this got 77k views when the community & AJ is long gone.
How hard is it to put an ilvl cap in arena, pvp vendors, no corruption and classes that can’t one shot? I’ve honestly 21-0 with a 480ilvl DH that backpeddles yet go 8-10 with a 2800 xp 465 warrior lol
All they would need to do is disable damage corruptions. I love how they recently nerfed Gushing wounds, it was never a problem, the problem was the tentacle. Still to this day loosing arena games in under 10 seconds because a rogue deals 600k damage with tentacles in his opener.
Tentacles are not the problem at all anymore, they don't proc much and are easily killed, gushing is doing 30-40% of peoples damage even after the nerf, before the nerf if you had 4-6 of them you did stupid damage.
@@DriftNick Gushing isn't an issue at all lmfao. If someine runs with 8x 12% haste or mastery I'm 200% positive that you wouldn't complain if you get oneshot by a DK running such a build, why? Cuz you wouldn't be so focused in how much damage those corruptions give him as you are on Gushing wounds
@@zektaltv1819 Except people complain all the time about vers stacked players being unkillable, warlocks having sub one second chaos bolts and paladins being able to chain hoj's, if you don't think a corruption doing more damage then your spells isn't an issue then I don't know what to say, you say tentacles are the problem but gushing even after the nerf is so much more pressure and you can't stop it from happening, there is a reason no one plays tentacles at higher rating, it is not reliable and easily countered. You can also look at the ladder and see every dps except mages and warlock are stacking gushing.
