Onestar is an awesome singer/songwriter/producer. he was Chen & Baekhyun's vocal coach when they were trainees & they are close w/ him. he is a vocal director for some EXO songs & both of Baekhyun's album. Fun fact about May We Bye: Onestar offered this song to be on Chen's 1st album but Chen suggested it's best for them to sing it together as a duet. My bias is Chen & i so, so love him! i'm happy that there are more people who feels the same way about him. we need to protect our Chennie!

Sabor a Mi is such an important song for us Mexican EXO-Ls 🥺 it's like a connection with the group. When they came back in 2017 they sang a bit of the song again, and when Baekhyun came with SuperM last year he also sang a line of the song. Thank you for reacting to their performances 🤍

Kyungsoo’s “r”s are the star of this video. And Chanyeol totally stole the show with the guitar. I’m telling you, he’s such an underrated musician. All of them sound so good in Spanish. There are quite a few phonetics in Spanish (and Portuguese, my language) that are actually very similar to Korean phonetics. A few, mind you, not a lot. At least I see more similarities with both of them than with English. I’m learning Korean and that’s really surprising.

As far as I know, Onestar is Jongdae and Baekhyun's vocal coach so yeah.. that made sense isn't it? A power house performance👏❤️

Even though they didn't remember most of it since it was so long ago, Kyungsoo still killed it again with his almost perfect Spanish. Hanbyul (Onestar) said that he was done recording before chen. after hearing chen's adlibs he had to comeback recording and do some more too.. lol... He said he got a little competitive. lol... Hanbyul is one of EXO's vocal directors, now him and the members even go to classes together. He's one of the persons who can tell if something is wrong with the member's vocals by just hearing them speak.

This performance was in Mexico. They also had other kpop artists sing other songs in Spanish,such as Ailee. Kai was actually there they had EXO-K perform there, they performed Growl. D.O. sang the song song again in their EXO'rdium concert in Mexico. The fans sang along with D.O. it was so special.

Austin I'll tell you a curious history. Onestar was Chen's vocal teacher. He wrote this song for Chen, but he liked it so he decided that they would sing it together. When they start recording, Onestar says that he felt really embarrassed because he hadn't listened Chen for a long time and well, his high notes you know, we all know how Chen sings, he said that his student had overcome him and he couldn't believe it hahaha. That day Onestar came home and modified the song in certain parts, putting many more high notes, for him. So it would be clear to Chen who the master was hahaha. And so this beautiful song came out

I love this performance so much. FYI when Music Bank has EXO in the lineup for their international dates, they always do a song in the host country's language. They did this one in Mexico, a song in Vietnamese in Hanoi. The one they did in Berlin had English lyrics, but it was a cover of a song by German rockers The Scorpions.

Ah! How excited. You reacted to Sabor a Mi. It's a song in which the Mexican took a fundamental part of his culture (although the singer is actually from Puerto Rico but is called mostly Mexican.) Many Mexican Exo-Ls were proud that Exo has sung that piece of art.

That's one of the things I appreciate about SM. SM takes vocals seriously and invests time, energy, money, etc. in training and surrounding their artists with vocalists/teachers who know what they're doing. With a k-pop singer's grueling schedule it's so important that they treat their instruments with respect and care. The agency takes time to find talent then nurture it to help their artists reach their full potential. I don't know how they do it but SM somehow even discovers hidden talents that the trainees they themselves didn't know they have. So many of SM's instructors and mentors are successfully active in their own careers so you know they don't just teach but do it themselves. Thanks again for a wonderful reaction. I'm peruvian and before 2016 I didn't want to know about kpop, because I had a prejudice for their voices and their clothes (yeah, i was really stupid) when I started to watch kdramas... I began to love OSTs and then RU-vid recommend me this video "Sabor a mí" and it was a revelation. I felt in love with Kyungsoo and his amazing pronunciation and voice tone. Chanyeol with the guitar is a dream boy. And step by step I converted in an exol. I feel very identificated with your journey... and now my bias are Chen and Xiumin (but exo biased ever) May We Bye is a GREAT song. Every time I hear it, the tears came up slowly... Im Han Byul recorded his part of this song first than Chen and when he heard Chen's High note he recorder again his part and added much higher note and adlibs out of his pride as he was Chen's former Vocal Coach way back then..A tcher and a student performing an awesome song indeed.....😍😍
