100% agree with everything you said and I can't understand how anyone could attack her, she is a true phenom and should be celebrated everywhere. Besides that full rich and dark timbre she is just so damn good at everything it's unbelievable and when she decorates a song with vocalizations it sends you soaring! I pity those that can't or refuse to appreciate her.
I agree, there are none so blind as those who refuse to see............. It must be painful for them to secretly know that she is a great talented singer, but still profess her lack of talent....... Go figure!

It's an over 300 year old folk song about a Cossack warrior who dreams of his death in an imminent battle. On Diana's face you see sadness, anxiety and pain of the soul of the Cossack warrior. One would swear she borrowed that soul to perform the song. I'm not sure how many people appreciate the emotional gasps she produces here that absolutely melt me.

No. The performances you have listened to are not representative of the whole. She does not have just one voice. She has many. Some of them are as far from "haunting" as can be.
