This video shows how to complete the level 20 Season of Discovery rogue quest for the "Deadly Brew" rune without needing to go to Stonetalon Mountains. You get this quest via mail at level 20
Important notes: !!! Make sure you dont have the Touch of Zanzil debuff because it affects your stealth level so that every mob can see you. !!!
- When doing this at level 20 i strongly suggest to put 5 talent points into master of deception
0:00 Open first letter in mailbox
0:12 Where to find on the map
0:33 Find the dead mailbox to start quest
1:00 Open the door to the courtyard
2:59 Get the first part of the Key
4:52 Get the second part of the Key
5:32 Find the horn of Xelthos
7:30 Turn in the quest
8:50 Go to city to get next letter in mailbox
9:23 Get the Deadly Brew rune reward

FYI - If you still have Touch of Zanzil on, your stealth level will be too low to do this. Have someone clear the poison off of you before attempting.

omg I wish I had read this comment. Just spent about 2 hours in there in a safe spot waiting on vanish cooldowns. EVERYTHING SAW ME! I thought it was just because I was combat spec. I was sprinting by all the mobs and using vanish to pick pocket. I got it done but I guess now I know what Touch of Zanzil does...

Cheers, went smooth for me as a human rogue lvl 20 with 5/5 dec. Just had to wait for the right opportunity to pick pocket, those mobs like to turn around when you least expect it haha

did it today at lvl 20 respec for it just put 10 in sub for stealth and speed worked well only 10s to respec

5 resists on pick pocket as horde lvl 20, the way back from gaveyard is pain in the ass. not sure if its worth it at 20...

Hmm, i think the stealth bonus to NE is helping alot here. I walked behind the lvl 21 mobs and they turned around and hit me even with 5/5 MOD and 5/5 Camo.

Grad Video, but be careful: if you already have the bomb und do it like this the q will be bugged. I tured the horn into the box and nothing happend. No Letter, not clickable even a day later.

for anyone who try to attemp this with the touch of zanzil buff/debuff on you. If u wanna remove this debuff i guess just craft a Anti Venom via First Aid and ull remove the debuff. thank me later :)

Deadly brew doesn’t work until you finish the poison quest. Only after you finish the quest does the deadly poison and instant poison from the tune start applying

See end of the video, you need to get back to a city or apparently wait 15 minutes to receive the second letter, after that you can loot the chest and get the rune

FYI - Horde will need to go to Stonetalon Mountain and talk to Veeix - or something like that. Pickpocket goblins in the area for the quest reward. He'll create you a bomb which will blow the door instead of unlocking the gate for the human. Also was able to do this without any points in master of deception. Just be careful and figure out the routes. Failed about 3 times but ultimately prevailed. Good luck bois.

horde dont need to, pull the latch have him unlock the door, die ( if you dont have vanish) run back in and the door is unlocked.

Do t do this at lvl 20 get 22 and distract the mops turn and walk like total maniacs and you corbsrun yourself to insanity. I was on the brink of it waist so mutch time i could ha e lvled to 22 in that time
