PvP sucked.Last instance was dissapointing. If we remove these 2,yes,the game was great. But then again,PvP and final boss is pretty much everything for WoW.
Cata's biggest problem was that long wait after Dragon Soul came out before any new content was released. Now that we live in a post Pandaria and Draenor world, with even longer waits, and Draenor having even less content, Cata really doesn't seem as bad as we remember it to be.
Why was WoW made so easy? The cult of the Entitled, that's why. They complain on the WoW forums about how the game was too hard without saying how. When blizzard made the game so easy, they still said it was too hard without giving specifics. Those fuckers should just go yiff their own dicks.
Cata was my first expansion. I was 12 years old and didn't reach level cap until MoP because I had so much fun exploring the old world and learning all the lore. I don't think I'll ever have as much fun playing WoW again as I did then, however, leveling always brings everything back
Excellent transition from The Titans into the redone Legends of Azeroth at 10:57. Out of all the incredible login screen music, this one is probably the best of the best.
The whole point of the login themes is to round up the most important parts of the last expansions and put it together with the new one (the cataclysmic chanting and the sense of ruin and destruction in this case) which is most perfectly done in this login, the wotlk is great and nostalgic but it's just kind of poorly made and the different musics are badly pieced together compared to other logins.
That part is called "O Thanagor" a song first introduced during the Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne closing cinematic. The song became a recurring lyrical leitmotif in World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, appearing in several songs, including "Arthas, My Son" and "Invincible." The song also appears as part of the medley in the World of Warcraft: Cataclysm main theme, "The Shattering."
I love the whole thing. I joined in late TBC but Cata was my fav cuz it changed how you thought, how you traveled, and the very gamescape itself. And werewolves.
Best game of all time. I have spend so many years of my life playing this amazing game and listening to this amazing music and i never get tired of it. Thanks Blizzard
The porblem with all login screen music in Wotlk and onwards was that it took too bloody long. The windup to each theme is like 2 minutes, so I'll never hear the best parts of the song besides the one time I spend 10 minutes wondering what my first character ever should be. That's why I prefer the original vanilla theme/tbc theme. They both were about 2:40, so by the time you were on a loading screen, you probably were at or beyond the best part of the song.
At 7:00, it's a song called Invincible, AKA Arthas' Theme. At 10:24 is called Dark Ironforge, however the actual version is slower and I prefer the one in this medley.
Cata was amazing as fuck, and in that time i excelled most in the game, the PVE content was slipstreamed. Especially heroic mode, epic as fuck. Classes were easier and for my opinion more amezing to play, obviously i was a huntard who had more under his power than he could handle, DPS as hunter was excellent during that time. MM Hunters rotation became actually somewhat more difficult that it was in WotLK.
Me and my friend creating a new character : My friend: What takes you so long, man? Me : Nothing, I'm just...trying to find a good name. Me in reality : *waiting for **10:55*
The music perfectly mirrors the diversity of the entire expansion. From the "ending" of the old world to the beginning of a new age in Warcraft's history. I hated Cata while it was live, because it destroyed Orgrimmar, the Barrens and Thousand Needles, and the level cap of 85 felt more like it was a minor expansion. But today, I remember Cata as a pretty good one. Especially compared to MoP and WoD...
... Everyone does realize that 10:57-11:50 is from Legends of Azeroth, which is that part of the song where people nostalgia about how the original Azeroth is gone... Right?
@ilmanti yea i know,i know u need a team and all that,to create EPIC works and games like this but im just saying no one ever knows what will happen in future and what kinda game the outcome will be i mean i only got like a binder of pages and like only 2-3 friends helping me out and my idea is a BIG idea so yea plus im still in school so all this stuff is in the way and what not (especialy some things) that can change the outcome and somtime i think some things are more importent idk its hard:(
Although WotLK was my favorite, the excitement for Cataclysm was maybe even bigger than for Wrath in my case. A lot of things massively improved, though I do think they went in the wrong direction with patches 4.2 and 4.3, not to mention raid finder. Could have been a lot better but it was still amazing, the graphics, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the story, one of the best to this day.
@Doomon15 not to burst your bubble but you will probably never reach this level of epic. these people have real, full time, professional composers and an orchestra to work with. they don't put in half an hour on fruity loops and call it a day. but that does not mean you can't create good game music using fruity loops, or ableton live. I suggest you get someone who knows what he's doing with you on the team and go from there. this really isn't something you can learn overnight.
I wish it would be 2010 again. This addon was so incredible. Dungeons hard as nuts at 4.0.3 times, hardest raid boss ever Raggy in 4.2 and a cool finale by using tons of new spell effects, lfr and all that stuff. Cata was the big change of the game when things were fine and not locked behind artifical time killers like reputation in suramar
I played throughout most of cata, and people back then typically told me that it was $#@%. Now, ironically, I tend to hear people telling me it was great, and the best...
krzysztof borkowski Yes. In 6.1 they're adding jukeboxes that change your garrisons music that you can collect sheet music for. Invincible is going to drop off of Lich King.
