The SR-71 never fought anything... it was built for reconnaissance only. It was a spy plane and never carried weapons. No one was scared of the SR-71. They were worried about their secrets being stolen when one flew 80,000 feet overhead.

This is definitely a collaborative build that probably took a year or more to perfect.

There’s a foam kit of the plane body from a company called Aerotetris. You have to figure out and provide the electronics to make it work though.

I noticed only one turbine yet the description says it has 2x Frank Turbines

One possibility would be weight distribution. Many modern fighter planes are also aerodynamically unstable, meaning they cannot fly without computers controlling the rudder movements. Installing powerful computers and sensors in a model airplane costs weight, electricity and a lot of money. The engines in the nacelles could therefore make the aircraft aerodynamically unstable (unflyable). In model making, you sometimes have to accept compromises.

@@sylviarohge4204 actually installing flight computers (flight controllers) in an rc plane is fairly cheap, I’ve got several with flight controllers. And most likely this plane already has a flight controller with gyro’s and accelerometer and probably gps, and they use very little electricity. Also there is sr-71 models with dual turbines, I’m thinking this was done to save money and weight and simplicity on the fuel system, less to do with weight distribution iMO

This is made to be a beautiful flying replica. Drones for war are purpose built, and the purpose is definitely not to be a beautiful scale model. The craftsman on this would be wasted on a military drone.
